where are his nose, mouth, eyes, ears, eyebrows, cheeks, shoulder, arms and skin? what indicates this character to be a samurai? where's his sword? where's his oriental woven robe?

This piece lacks, well a lot of things frankly. I can't really give you any cnc. You have a meh understanding of lights and darks and stuff I guess.

It's just three sketchy weird shapes. Nothing much here, really.

He has a straw hat he must be a samurai.

And like damian (Or naimad Idfk anymore) what are we supposed to critique. It's just a bunch of scribbles.

So... I guess it's a stick in a hat with hatch-shading? I guess it's got a certain... style?... to it, but I can't really say I think it's good or not. It's not a style I've really seen before, there's no real content to it, and all in all it kinda feels messy. I mean, I get that hatch shading doesn't have to be perfect, but there has to be at least some level of consistency so it at least looks clean.

And yeah, there really are no indicators aside from the title that it's a samurai.

The hat looks dumb.

I get that it's meant to be stylised, but Jesus is it messy. Hatch shading still needs to be clean, and you could fix this in like 2 minutes. Also, if you're going to try this kind of shading, try using lines that go the other way, it can make the darker areas look less scribbly, and this would look better for a straw hat. And if you're going to call it a samurai, add a but more to it, since there's more than just a hat.
Lastly, if you're going to experiment, you should try a full body sketch, because a stick figure is not going to give you much to work with.

I for one thinks it looks OK.

I mean, it lacks a lot but it isn't really horrible.
