Stitch
Rocket Raccoon
A bit lengthy but here goes. I'll be talking about the quotes Hewitt included in his spoiler, and put my thoughts about it. Mainly countering what they said though. First off, about RR's battle experience. Yeah, he might've fought something similar in the past, but this time he won't know what he's fighting this time. Only by seeing him can he know what's facing, and by then it may be too late. Secondly, RR can do that yeah. But how much time does it take for him to fix something like taht up? I imagine it'd take at least a few hours, and he'd need to be focusing on making the thing. Thirdly, as I said before in the past battles, in this case (this fight scenario), it's power>intelligence. Intelligence can only shine when you know about the enemy and exploit it. Fighting the unknown isn't the smart people's choice. Last but not least, that's only the case if the capsule was there with him. Which I don't think it will be.

Magikarp
Not joking. Magikarp has big fuckin' potential if used right.
But this is with good setup with other Pokemans, which won't be present. Plus, there won't be a trainer to tell it what to do, right?

Crash
Magikarp
- I had to look at all the videos for both characters. The one thing I noticed is that Crash is always riding something when he battles. Now correct me if I'm wrong but are the battles not 1 v 1? Meanwhile Magikarp can fight without the stat bonuses given to him by the other pokemon. This makes me think that a level 100 Magikarp, such as the one I nominated, would win this fight.
Raphael
Jak
- Jak is outrageously strong. I think Raphael could put up a bit of a fight but that Jak would win fairly quickly due to sheer firepower.
Yamato
The Kid
- Have to give it to The Kid. His versatility just sells it for me.
FLLFFL
Red
- All of his pokemon at once? I think Red can win.
==================
Gluttony
Carnage
- His whole body is a living transformable weapon and he once nearly destroyed an entire universe. Carnage is pretty damn strong.
Viewtiful Joe
Duke Nukem
- Haven't played much of Viewtiful Joe but from what I can tell Duke would be able to overpower him with sheer strength if he had to. If not then he could always just shoot him to death.
Rayman
Leeroy
- Honestly I think this was the closest fight. I'm taking into account the fact that Leeroy has become a warrior type figure in the Warcraft universe while Rayman simply has his fists and powers. However I think Rayman would win in the end. His agility and strength would eventually bring this great hero down.
Ilidan
Cohen
- After reading everything Hewitt linked about this guy I have to say I don't think many people in this tournament will be able to defeat him. Ilidan has been defeated and obviously has weaknesses. Cohen just doesn't seem to have any weaknesses.

He does, actually, his strict adherence to 'The Code', which is his understanding of how the tropes in his world work.Quote from VeirCohen just doesn't seem to have any weaknesses.
Though this sort of claim triggers virtually all Touhou fans, I have to agree with you; although I feel "watch" isn't the right word to describe it.Quote from _Ai_btw no one actually plays touhou, they just watch it
There are legions of doujins, fanfics, remixes, fangames, etc.; it's not just limited to "watching" unofficial animations and quirky flashes. Still, it ain't one of the elder fandoms for nothing.
But I digress, people are usually put off by their supposed difficulty or importing problems because ZUN is a recluse. Of course, I got my hands on the games and...yeah. Luckily I also play Dark Souls so I have the right mindset for these kinds of games.

Can see why it triggers them, but thankfully there aren't much touhou fans in this forum

Crash
Magikarp
Crash can do different kinds of fighting technique from the good 'ol jumping to the head and spinning like human-like beyblade while a Magikarp can only splash and pretty much the weakest kind of pokemon unless it evolves.
Raphael
Jak
Yamato
The Kid
FLLFFL
Red
One guy with a jet sword against a kid with six powerful and super powered aliens for bodyguards. I think we all know who wins this fight.

Crash
Magikarp
Reason: I'm assuming there can only be one Magikarp to fight with Crash Bandicoot. Plus, Crash has much more combat skills and agility compared to Magikarp (even tho that video changed people's perspective on it as the "weakest Pokemon ever lived" thanks to that first YT video linked, but I always feel it'd knock a face one time and that'd be probably it).
Plus, Crash doesn't need to ride those so-called Titans to get his combat skills actually. I've played the game before.
Raphael
Jak
Reason: As much as I like TMNT, I don't really like Raph to be honest. And no, that's not the main thing as to why I voted for Jak in the end. Hear me out:
Yamato
The Kid
Reason: I'm thinking Yamato still has a chance to beat the Kid. It's mentioned that The Kid's only a mere survivor while Yamato herself has experience in military, I expect.
FLLFFL
Red
Reason: I thought this tourney don't allow allies to join the party? If Red's being left alone from his Pokemon Champs, he's not gonna survive much.
==================
Gluttony
Carnage
Reason: As awesome Gluttony is, Carnage is literally immortal like, every time Deadpool stabbed him he got himself somehow healed as well. Soo, more persistent points given to Carnage.
Viewtiful Joe
Duke Nukem
Reason: Haha, this military guy gets it. Viewtiful Joe's just a mere movie character, sadly, apart of his coolness.
Rayman
Leeroy
Reason: Think he has more combat experience and variations than Leeroy has. Rayman also has experiences on beating big-sized enemies in the past as well.
Ilidan
Cohen
Reason: This might be a pretty close fight, but eventually Ilidan's magic ability will conquer that poor ol' barbarian.
Geez, I feel like I've been very lazy to write long explanations for this round especially. I'm truly sorry, but at least I still give 'em up.

Reason: As much as I like TMNT, I don't really like Raph to be honest. And no, that's not the main thing as to why I voted for Jak in the end. Hear me out:
- Raph's defeated by Mike's jibber-jabber in a tournament by letting his rage to get the better of him. All. Clean. Punching a wall 'til it hurts a lot is not a good idea.
- This is the main reason: combat skills. Raph's only good when it's about a battle with his sais involved. Plus, he's just a mutant turtle. In the other side, Jak can absorb ecos from surroundings in order to give advantage in his combos later on. So there's that.

Yamato - I'd be all nerdy and pull a shitton of stats about her, but I don't I need to, this time around. Next time, maybe.
The Kid
FLLFFL
Red - Pikachu can probably 1v1 him. Maybe. It's pretty stronk.
Literally only know stuff about these 2. Too much unknowns ;-;

Okay I was working on the next Round when I noticed alot of things I need to address:
1) one of Smile's noms (who is upcoming in the next bracket) is a joke. Like how did no one comment on this before? That character will be replaced by one of XaioShadow's late noms. I'm also thinking of just in general blacklisting Smile for being an outright troll.
2) GT/Shadowkirby, for god's sake please don't nom OCT characters if you're not going to provide an infosheet or a wiki or something. I'm not the fucking Internet enough to dive into the niche communities to find stuff related to them. They are coming in the next Round so please help me and provide a Char page and some links to their battles for the ff chars:
Dane Klassen (The Salt Islands OCT)
Triangle (The Walking City OCT)
Karl (Law of Talos OCT) (I know you've linked me this in my top thread, but I'll need more shit like an Info page)
If you or anyone cannot provide enough info for the 3 above, they will be replaced by legit fighters.
3) I have noticed that the Touhou characters are wiping the floor with the competition. I would like to ask you all if they are WAY too OP (and hate GuardianTempest for it) enough taht I should get rid of them, or do I just pit them together in the next round to eliminate them down to 1 character? Please comment, thanks.
4) I have resolved to rebuild some parts of the next round because this first round has left a few unbalanced stuff and made next rounds boring and one-sided, which was not the point of this thread at all. No worries as they'll just be minor rearrangements and the seeding will still be respected.
5) I have been informed that I miscounted the last round and Ness/Quote did in fact tie so we will be having another lightning tiebreaker in the next round pretty much like the Stitch/Raccoon one.
6) I have learned alot from hosting this tourney. If there will be a 2nd one, it will be a bit more organized and will not be as cluttered. Sorry, I hope you guys are enjoying this so far.

Hmmm, taking replacements? Also, some of the more divine competitors can easily take care of themQuote from HewittI would like to ask you all if they are WAY too OP (and hate GuardianTempest for it) enough taht I should get rid of them, or do I just pit them together in the next round to eliminate them down to 1 character? Next tourney I'll pick characters than can be reasonably beaten.

Here's Dane Klassen's info page: http://fav.me/d8glb67
I don't think he's as famous as Triangle or Karl at the moment, as he's still very new. But I think he can make a good bounty hunter.
For those "OP" Touhou characters, I think you can do the latter instead of blatantly getting rid of them due to that kind of OP reason (if you have to do it then might as well get rid of Segata imo ._.). I'd personally really like to see with my own eyes if they can really survive the entire tournament or not.
