Alright, sick. If you don't mind, could you PM me your recommended settings? Preferably for both, but if you could just PM me about FFX that'd be great.

So yeah E3! I'm still salty about the Metroid Prime thing. Ugh.

Anyone else psyched for the next deus ex?

I am. Shit looks tight.

Also: My favorite youtuber made a video about e3

Before I get bombarded with bellicose, I must disclose that just because I watch his vids doesn't mean I share his opinion.

But I must opine that he makes some good points.

he's so fucking edgy

jesus if you complain about games then make fucking games

or fucking play indie games, the fucking baby. The games I'm hyped for are Squad, No man's sky and star citizen, ALL of which are IPs

Complaining about Halo 5? The game looks fucking awesome.
Fallout 4? It looks great
Doom 4? The game looks tight as fuck

He's bitching about sequels, but the games that are getting announced are great

They are fucking great. But he's using them as examples to make a point about creativity in the higher levels of the industry. However, it's not like these points are limited to the game industry. I see it happening in the music industry and the movie industry too so, I'm guessing it's more of an entertainment industry issue. At least the game industry is putting out quality works, which is more than I can say for the others.

Its obviously more appealing to have a new IP that hopefully introduces new elements, but the chances are that it is not the case for equally obvious reasons. That being said, there's nothing wrong with a good sequel. Its a bit more of an issue on story driven games, but on other video games, as long as the developers create new and innovate ideas as to how they want to use their IP, there's nothing wrong with that since it brings about a different experience. Sure, the core might stay the same, but it really isn't any different as two skeletons of a plot line of a book. The problem with video games isn't necessarily the repetitiveness of the same IPs but rather the repetitiveness in which they're used. If they can still be used in new and creative ways, then there's absolutely nothing wrong with a sequel. The 3D Mario games are a great example of this (I would argue even Galaxy 2), and that series has been running for a mad long time with some very basic and universal controls.

Is there anyone here who plays Guild Wars 2. I just logged in the other night to find that they revamped the entire skill system and changed the look and feel of Lion's Arch.

Anyways, relevant to the thread, what did you make of the E3 presentation concerning GW2's Expansion? I only started playing it early this year so I haven't exactly felt like I need this expansion yet so I wouldn't know exactly what to feel. Seems they didn't present it very well and alot of fans got pissed.
