Quote from JeffIs anyone else on board for Fallout 4? I was actually pretty impressed by what they revealed. It looks like they've made honest attempts to address a lot of the issues I have with Bethesda games, but I'm still a little bit miffed that prior to this event they claimed the engine was "brand new" which I feel is dishonest since they admitted it was still Creation Engine which I wouldn't call "brand new" but that's not really important any more. The first minor detail I noticed is how the lip syncing appears to be a million times better overall. Also that they recorded thousands of common names in dialogue is very impressive, I've always wanted a bigger game to attempt this.
I'm interested to hear what people think about it, both long time fans of the series and those who've never played before. What's your opinion?
Honestly I wasn't a fan of FA3, and I only played about a half hour of FA:NV before getting bored of it as well. Even after seeing the initial trailer for FA4, I wasn't at all impressed. It didn't look like much of an improvement.
But after seeing their reveal, I can say I'm actually excited for this one.
Edit:
Quote from ExilementI missed the boat with FF7, never played any of them actually
FF7 is alright if you can get past the ridiculously dated graphics, and give it the time to get invested. FF7, 8 and 12 I would highly suggest at least giving a shot. FF8 is my personal favorite game, followed by 12, then 7 as far as FF games go. If you want retro, FF4 is pretty good, and everyone praises FF6, although I think it's over-hyped.
