What a time to be alive.

So Bethesda's E3 was good, EA's E3 was sort of good with Battlefront, I don't know about Ubisoft, but both Sony's and Microsoft's E3's are looking hella strong.
If Nintendo end's up having a great E3, this might be the best E3 we've had in a long while.

Still waiting on the FF6 remake Square Enix.

Yes, glad I'm not the only one. Once again FF6 is being shafted over FF7.

6 was Terra... was it? I used to be such a FF junkie lol, now I'm forgetting them
Jun 16, 2015 6:56 AM #1373337
Yes but it's not just Terra. Alot of people think Terra is the main in FF6 because of Dissidia. The fact that Kefka is the real bad guy was suppose to be a spoiler in itself because you don't even get to see him as a threat until his surprise turn in the 2nd half of the game.
FF6 is composed of a party of 12. And if this remake is ever going to happen, a wider audience will be made aware that the Returners are a group of 7/8 with a bunch of taggalongs. Locke, Edgar, Sabin, Celes, and Cyan to name a few. And Terra. They're the stars of the show.

new Doom:
could be good, as long as the gameplay, move speed, and pacing are significantly faster than what they showed in their demo. otherwise fuck that. was kind of put off by the 5 second movies you have to watch every time you want to execute an enemy with your hands or a chainsaw. that shit really messes with combat flow.
Fallout 4:
i don't know man. apart from minor upgrades like follower commands, power suits, and settlements, it pretty much looks like more of the same. graphics look like the same shit as ever, no doubt held back once again by console parity.
i didn't like the voiced player character or the way they've done dialog mass effect style (you select "i disagree" and your character says something like "HOW DARE YOU! you are wrong! i am outraged and want to fight you!" and now you have to fight some fucker because your character couldn't stick to the fucking line you selected). i didn't like the fact that the PC has a family and backstory that you're meant to care about, either. both of these features make it difficult to roleplay, which is half of what open world games like fallout are meant to be about. and i can't help but expect bethesda to make the main quest revolve around my family that i don't give a fuck about (like they did in fallout 3).
and, like the other fallout games, bethesda has touched, and skyrim... i have every expectation for this to be released riddled with bugs and glitches, and severely lacking in unique/interesting/quality content. but of course, modders will fix these problems, but that really shouldn't be any excuse for laziness.
regardless, i refuse to pay for anything bethesda releases after that paid mods bullshit they tried to pull. might pirate the above if they turn out to not be complete trash
i'm also interested in dark souls 3 and monster hunter x but i haven't heard much about them yet.

Just give me the ability to tape my flashlight to my rifle and we'll have no problems with DOOM 4

this illustrates my biggest gripe with what i've seen so far from fallout 4 pretty well:

Yeah, I was kind of put off by that too, because you know one option is "good karma choice", another is "bad karma choice"
I remember fallout 2 having so many dialogue options, one of them being just grunts. Like, it was dumb but the option to roleplay was there
EDIT: To be completely fair, a lot of these choices were circular, and only one or two of them would actually advance the character's speech.

Kind of a bad example considering in the interaction taking place in the Fallout 4 screenshot, there's no way there'd be more than 4 options in the other games. It's a simple reaction to a greeting and you get four choices of responses, how does that point to anything bad about the game? I don't get it.
I'm sure there's still going to be dialogue trees to get information about various things. Just like the last two games. You'd have to select "Let me ask about..." or something and then you'd get a couple of choices and a "Let's talk about something else". Sounds like it would translate directly to the system they're using now.
Who's to say one of the buttons won't turn into a "Next" or "Previous" or something while the other 3 options cycle through other choices? It's wayyyy too early to be drawing conclusions like these. Not that I expect that to stop anyone.

I didn't think of that.
The "Vault Tec" option would be underlined or something, so that when selected, you'd see three options concerning Vault Tec
