I have a few problems.

1. The eraser seems to be affecting all layers when I use it.

2. When I go to edit a symbol, it resets the layers to when you just open up flash.

The layers aren't locked, but it's still happening. Would it be helpful if I recorded it or something?

Edit: in fact, a few other tools work on all of the layers at once, too.

Yeah actually, record the problem then let's see what's wrong, but what about your 2nd problem?

I think I just need to watch a few beginner tutorials that talk about symbols because I'm still pretty new to this on the technical side of things.

I'll probably won't be able to get a recording of the first problem until tomorrow.
