The Will of the Blue Phoenix, or WBP, increases Fury's will to live. He calls forth Zathero's spirit to temporarily give Fury a large amount of adrenaline and will increase his tolerance to pain.

Fury can transform into fire itself to travel through openings, give small burns to an enemy, or have projectiles pass through him.

The Phoenix Blast is a small but very powerful ball that contains Zathero's strength and the heat of lightning. This ball cannot damage anything but Fury's target, but he cannot change the direction once he has blasted it.

Zathero and Imathor were at a constant war for control of the world. Zathero overpowered Imathor in their first battle, giving him control of the world's good and evil. Zathero found that good should always be the intent of the people of Earth. Imathor retreated to the shadows, where he leaks out evil intent into the minds of humans, causing sins and wars to break out. Zathero couldn't stand having his people killing each other. He went into a rampage, destroying all of the evil intent and the demons that Imathor summoned to kill the people of Earth. He killed millions of people, destroyed millions of homes, and hurt too many families.
Full of regret and sadness, Zathero was ashamed of what he had done to protect the world. He decided to create his own warrior to protect the people of the world. He traveled to the Sun. As he created his warrior, he began to feel... weak. He realized that, in order to create his warrior of Earth, he would have to die.

Hesitantly, he continued to form his warrior. He first created a body, filling it partly with fire, so he had the power of fire. Zathero knew his warrior wouldn't know the difference between good and bad, so he fused the Yin Yang into the body's mind and heart, so he knew what is right, and feels right.
Satisfied with how successful his warrior was coming along, he was also slightly saddened about how close his life was coming to an end. He collapsed on the surface of Earth, softening the landing of his warrior with his body.

Zathero's vision was becoming dark, he could no longer move, and his body had no trace of fire on it. He was in pain, but his heart was content and full of joy. He knew that his warrior would protect the world and would make the choices he couldn't decide to make himself. A grin grew on his face, and he whispered into his warrior's ear... "I'm counting on you... Fury" Zathero body's glowed, and he sent his spirit into Fury.
