Lmao.
Has matchmaking gone too far?
I mean this is kinda silly, and if you look no rating difference in between both games so Mr. 2.5k wastes time playing in a match that serves no purpose at all. I think there should at least be a minimum of 2 rating gain per match because this is kinda messed up. Wait 40 mins for a match, find a match where you gain nothing out of it.

View Profile It's a bit unfair for higher rated players, yes. That's why I rank when other players of my skill level are online.

View Profile The reason is probably because slip was struggling with high ping, and it matched him with users with similar issues. He may have been banished to the shadow realm know as the lag queue.

View Profile I was put in the lag queue when I had lag issues but now I don't. A lot of people on this forum can vouch for that. But I can't escape :c Also haven't heard of anyone ever escaping either.

View Profile at least you should know I did reached 2676
at that time I have to win almost 3-4 matches for every 1 point , if I lose, it is a deduction of more than 30 points
even worse, I have to queue more than 1000 seconds for every single match
personally, I disagree with any elo system change because people should suffer the same like me ( jk :P)
but theoretically it really needs a change, too unfair to high ranked players.
Beating a 2k+ players is not that easy, and it is weird to get only 1 point or even 0 point .

View Profile How is the elo system "unfair" in regards to point gaining? You guys seem to misunderstand it. The point is not to see who can reach 3000 points and above first, The point is to establish the probability of one player defeating another player with regards to their point difference. If you hit a cap, its not because the elo system is broken, its because that's where you are statistically, even with lag and Freezes and shit. You cant just expect to farm 2k's forever, getting as many points as you feel like.

View Profile It isn't just slip, Jerrytt and Wyz... there is Terroristallah and his 20 alts (iheraldi, etc.) and a few others... so you draw then of these players and even if you are a significantly superior player, the likelihood of losing because you cannot control your units goes up dramatically... and thus, with the current ELO system, the likelihood that 6-8 wins are wiped out for no good reason becomes high.
ELO works in cheese and other places because the problems of an online game - hacking, cheating, lagging, etc. are not generally present.

1. It isn't Jerrytt and Wyz
2. Yes Terroristallah does lag2win. He can push 12 second delay out of the blue when crawler or archer micro are necessary.

You misused it.

View Profile No, the way I used it allows either reading, that is true. A comma can be used for a list with an and or it can be used to mark an object of direct address. I probably should have included a second comma instead of an ellipsis, but both uses are permitted ;)
It isn't just slip, wzydm and jerrytt, would have been only slightly more clear I guess.

View Profile Creating a minimal elo gain would break the carefully worked algorithms that currently award elo. Seeing your decimals of elo increase would be nice though, and stop people thinking they gained absolutely no elo.
