Does man need to go through the struggle of love if he needs not to? It's just a cycle of endless pain and grief. Considering it takes effort and commitment to love, I don't think someone, me, whose too lazy to make ice cream can sustain a relationship? What methods would you use to prevent love? What is your beliefs on love? If it's a necessity, how would you deal with it?

How do you choose to define love.

Yes they can. However people define the ceremony being marriage, this is where they are mistaken. Sex is marriage. Human can't go on unless they procreate but they can live without loving anyone.

What exactly are we debating? Rambling about marriage and then saying "GO" doesn't constitute a debate topic. If it's the topic title it should be pretty obvious that we can't make blanket statements about how people feel about being in committed relationships, everyone is different.

Should I change my argument then? I was having second thoughts about whether it was debatable or not as well.

I'm asking what we're supposed to be taking sides on here

Quote from JutsuHow do you choose to define love.
Love: as in feeling extremely comfortable being around someone; not having relentless urges to subdue her; actually wanting to share and express feelings, verbally, with your partner.

I haven't had the urge to subdue my girlfriend in years, we really must be in love

We also need to know what "need" or "necessity" mean here. It seems pretty clear that a person can survive without loving anyone. People sometimes stay in comas for years, presumably without feeling any strong attractions to other people (or, indeed, feeling anything), and they don't always die. A less extreme example would be psychopaths. But it might not be possible to be emotionally and physically healthy without loving anyone or anything.

Well then... this was a waste of time :/ already got my answer from the beginning via research. I was just complicating things.

Love is a bunch of chemical reactions used to make sure humanity goes forth and prosper, and by prosper I mean fuck.
If you want to stop love, there could be a drug that does it or somethin'. It'd be possible, it'd probably just not be made currently for ethics or some other related reason.
If you wanna deal with it yourself then you're gonna have to get a bit weird. Instead of dealing out the love on a person you'd deal it out on other things. I think this is where those silly waifu pillows come into play. Can't be with a real lass so you take it out on a cartoon lass onna pillow.

I wouldn't say love is necessary for survival, but i guess in some ways it kinda is because humans are very social creatures and it's hard to get them to do anything unless their emotions tell them to do it. In this case, telling them to reproduce. Honestly the only method i would have to prevent love is to stay away from people. And i mean all people. But of course, that would only prevent the actions of love. The inner feelings will still be there. And my beliefs on love is that it's a kind of mixture of all of your emotions, so that's why everyone who describes it calls it confusing or hard to explain. To put love really simply, it's when you think about another person before yourself, because in the instinct of your brain, that person is necessary for your survival. And it doesn't have to be a relationship. But if you're talking about relationships, it's pretty much the same thing only with some sex mixed in. And how would i deal with it? I'd honestly just not focus on the bad things in love, because they're gonna happen whether i like it or not. And even if the bad stuff gets to me, it's still worth it. Even though I'm completely broke and can't sustain a relationship. But just so you know, no matter how lazy you are, once you start to love a girl and she loves you back, you will suddenly start taking care of yourself. I was lazy as fuq and it happened to me lol O.o

Thanks guys, but like I said before I've got my answer. And, like exilement said, there are no sides in this, so it's not really a debate. I should had , probably, just went to the general forum and made a thread about 'what's your personal view on love'. Bleh......
