Lets say me and some of my teenage buddies are playing TF2. A rated M game [thats supposed to be 17+ people]. We start messing around swearing a little at each other, all in good fun, then a 8 year old joins the server, and hears one of us swear, [Something like: "Bah, **** you cheesy, and your pyroy flames =P"]the kid then speaks over the mike, "OMGZORS! Plz donz sware! My pawents will tke awy my compter if day herez joo!!!111!" I'd get a bit pissed at him for coming into a rated M game about killing each other, on a server that is not centered around being a clean and Christian server and complaining about swearing. Its moments like that when a kid comes in and ruins the fun by complaining about us doing something that people our age do all the time. especially when he shouldn't be there in the first place. The same applies to just about anywhere on the internet [its easiest to explain with online games], if you ruin the flow of how people act and start acting immature and obnoxious in a normally mature enviroment. You'll probably be flamed and disliked there. I think this is also why everyone here is so ****ing anal about grammar and spelling, because bad grammar depicts you as a child younger than 10, making you appear immature, call it the text version of a kids voice if you must.

I would never ever get onto a kid in real life for telling me not to swear because I shouldn't be swearing in front of him/her in the first place. But if me and that kid were in a bar or something and that kid told me off for swearing, I'd be a little angry because its the time and the place for it, and that kid shouldn't be there in that time or place.
