Hi! So I recently bought a Macbook Pro, and I discovered that the Flash program that I used before (Macromedia) is not compatible with my new laptop, so I got Adobe Flash CC and you have to pay like, $40 every month for it. The thing is, it's too complicated and I feel like it's not worth the money.

Is it possible to get Macromedia 8 for Mac? So far, I can't find anything. ;-;

Bootcamp won't work for me, my laptop is too skinny for a disk drive. But I ended up buying Parallels so it's all good now. Thanks anyway~

I think you shouldn't buy Flash. Flash is dying anyway.

What do you mean? I thought like, 3/4 of the animators on this website used Flash :cc

Yeah, I actually want Flash to do what Netscape did, release the source code and then dies. If they do that, I'm pretty sure some people in the free software and open source software community will continue its life.

I'd rather not have it die at all... What's the point of getting rid of it?

My video tech class is filled with nothing but macs. I'd actually want to know if i could get flash 8 for mac as well. I might just end up telling my video tech teacher to get just one windows pc so i can run my copies of flash and after effects. And i wasn't aware that flash was dying. To me, it seems almost no different than any other drawn animation program. Of course, some others have more features, but if i had the skills, i could make anything i need to make with flash just fine.

You can uvu, sort of. But it's not really on a Mac, I actually got a cracked version of Parallels and then installed Flash 8 on that. It runs pretty smoothly too.
