Crush them, clean up. If they're big enough I try to keep them. I never came across a tarantula. I would totally keep that as a pet.

So I see that the most popular responses to this question are Fight or Flee

So the forgotten Spider story...

This happened when I was 5 or 6. I don't know. Everything before 10 is a blur. My dad planned to take us on some trip to the city, and in order to entertain ourselves we decided to bring some toys because the "are we there yet" game was getting old. I found my old Godzilla bag (2000...) in the garage and I rummaged through it finding some forgotten toys. Awesome! Nostalgia at the age of 5! I jumped in the car and we were off.

We were on a freeway bridge driving at a safe 100 km. I hugged the bag to my chest staring at the seat in front of me. Then I saw something moving. Crawling up slowly from the front of my bag to the top. It took me a few seconds to process what it was. First were the front two legs, then the next set. Then the body. IT WAS A FUCKING TARANTULA!!! THOSE MOTHER FUCKEN BROWN BLACK HAIRY ASS MOTHERFUCKERS ABOUT THE SIZE OF MY 5 YEAR OLD'S FACE STARING ME DOWN!!! I screamed and flung the bag to my sister. She screamed. Anarchy in the backseat. My dad swerved to the side of the freeway put the brake on max to see what happened. My sister fled the car, and my dad rushed to the backseat. He flicked the tarantula out of the car and probably off the bridge. I remember that there was a greenish yellowish stain that remained on the middle seat then on, which I actively avoided for the remainder of my time with that car. Moral of the story. Check your bags. Thoroughly! To think I stuck my whole arm into that bag!

probably ignore it, it'll help get rid of mosquitos and shit anyway.

unless it's one of the big fuckers with a health bar, then i'll have to do something about it

Actually, they are spiders. Sure, they might be unsual but they are spiders. And yes, they are true spiders.

Honestly if it's the most common spider that I encounter in my house everyday I'll just ignore it since it's not harmful in any possible way, quite the contrary it would actually get rid of all the annoying flying little shits.

- the spiders that I usually see in my house are of unknown origin to me. They look like a Long-bodied Cellar Spider, however, their body isn't so big (It's a pretty harmless home spider here in Europe, I just don't know the name and I feel dumb about it). They don't bite people, but even if they try - their short fangs cannot penetrate human skin.

I usually see house spiders. Oftenly 3-5 cm long. And I like these little guys! I don't keep them as a pet but I kinda feed them mosquitoes that I catch alive whenever I get the chance.

how do you catch a mosquito and feed it to the spiders while it's alive?

It's possible to feed a spider...I have done it outside, but not inside. Though I find them fascinating and important elements of our world, when they cross the border into my world (aka, the house) they are doomed to become veeeeerrrrry thin versions of their former selves.

I have several types of spiders I see regularly, so I won't bother describing them. They all die, and that is enough for me.

LOL "Health Bar" ...... I have had the misfortune of facing down some of those:

*Whack* -- not dead. *Whackitty whack smash* -- still making a break for the safety of some floor vent. *KA WHAMMMOOOO* -- its not freakin dead yet!! *THUD-GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIIINNNNNNNNNNNDDDDDDDDD* --- damn. It's finally dead but now I have to clean up that huge mess....
