"Blocking" in the air isn't blocking at all, it's dodging. Also, it's pretty easy to hit someone who's constantly airdodging if you know what you're doing.

I don't know if it's just me, but if feels like the Artificial Intelligence of the CPUs have been decreased.

Yeah, I still lose to LVL.9 Mario cpu from time to time XD. It's due to their imput reading and Korean pro gamer reaction times. But it is a good thing as I learned frame trapping from playing against LVL.9 CPU. It also makes you realise that attacking them directly will do nothing because they will just powershield it and grab or attack you. But they're pretty shit at going offesive lol.

Well, low-level CPU's are basically sandbags and aren't really a threat, so you can't really measure your skill on that. If you really wanna improve, I'd recommend either trying to beat the LVL9 CPU's(which is easier than you'd think really, despite them having BS reaction times they're very predictable and easy to deal with once you've beaten them a few times) or find someone in your own skill level to practice and improve with. I'd especially recommend the last one, that way it's much easier to analyze the fights and give you tips on how to improve :p
