1. Dante's canon at one point intersected (still intersects?) with your own, and your interactions with Dante, the members of the Coils, Sanctuary, etc, together help form a semblance of coherency.

2. In the event of incoherency / anachronism, Dante's presence offers an alternative throughline.

5. I was under the impression that you were looking to eventually forge something of an alliance with the Coils of Nehushtan at some point after you brought back Leoncio. Whether or not this impression is accurate, was ever accurate, or has even held up, were you to choose to interact with them in the future- be it in the form of a collab, or for all I care, another war- Dante being considered an honorary member not only provides the previous semblance of coherency to allow for such an exchange, but a motive and driving force for the direction of said exchanges based off of Dante's relations to the various clans you may choose to interact with in the future.

6. I was also under the impression that more than one of the characters associated with this clan have interacted with Dante at various points in time outside of the Clan War, and would more than likely speak relatively fondly of him or a version of him. One is Abra, and the other is one of your NPCs.

7. In respect to the Clan War, your rendition of Dante for the Night Creatures' entry was all I could've asked for and more. It would not be a stretch of the imagination, but a fair statistically backed, content backed, and interpersonal discussion backed hypothesis to say that our interaction and collaboration on your end of the Clan War as opposed to Alph and I's interaction / collaboration swayed the votes in your favor and in some ways away from his. Our visions for the character merged far more seamlessly than I was expecting in your version of the Clan War, while mine and Alph's visions butted heads somewhat more noticeably over that particular instance. If we wrote well together in the past- and wish to work well in the present and future, then writing together in the present and into the future should be the way to go.

8. Experimenting with Dante as an honorary member, and learning to operate with and around periphery story characters lends you experience with the concept. From a formatting standpoint, you'd know where you'd put honorary members on your page, as Dante would be your excuse to look into the matter. Say if you want to do something with TwitchyPidge (example ex-Night Creature) and/or her characters down the line- you would know and already ready to explain her options to her regarding registering Iwa, say, or whatever her old character was that was in your clan, as an honorary character whilst utilizing Janice and fulfilling the role of an active member were she to return suddenly and want this. Essentially, figure out the procedure now, with Dante- and you won't have to later should a situation arise where you would need/want honorary members. Be proactive.

Alright, you can be an honorary. That said, you'll still have to go through what normal members go through, and write out an interaction with Leoncio wherein he likes you. You get no room.

Hey guys, new clan event starting up! Something mysterious has occurred within the clan; the event is to describe your experience with this strange event. Though the event officially begins today, due to circumstances, you'll have to wait before it can begin. While you can get an idea for what will happen based on what's available on the front page, you'll need a bit more info before you can properly write things out.

That all being said, there is going to be no due date or word requirement. Hope it'll be fun for you guys!

Passively scanning for his allies, he sensed Manny in the training room. Lost in thought, he made his way towards his leader. Upon entering the training facility, he was greeted by the mannequin who was sitting inside of an observation room. He pressed a button it seemed and spoke to him through an intercom.

“Hey there big guy. Those boys down at the wRHG H.Q. sent us some fun stuff to toy around with. Now we can fight whoever we want whenever we want! It’ll be some kind of physical hologram, but it’ll be anyone in the wRHG databanks. Even ourselves. So I’ve made it a clan requirement for everyone to get their asses in here and give this thing a test. So, who’ll it be?”

Zalgo’s first thought went to Manny himself. An exercise to see who would win between the two would be entertaining. However his mind drifted back to his dream.

”Manny, is there anyone who can affect dreams? Someone who clicks a lot, perhaps breaking their own bones in the process?”

“Christ, what kind of dreams you been having?” Manny shakes his head a bit before pressing some keys on the newly installed training module. “Yeah there’s one guy. Wanna give him a go?”

Zalgo didn’t answer, instead placing himself on the opposite end of the room and spewing oil of arms. He stared dead-set towards the holo-pad from which the bot would be summoned. The machine began whirring to life as Manny keyed in whatever operations he needed. Rings floated up around the pad, red beams tracing out to artificially create the opponent Zalgo requested.

Black flesh appeared, creating hands on the ground, which grew into arms leading towards the torso. However the proportions were all off. The shoulders were made, with more arms sprouting from them. These arms were much larger than the ones it used for legs, more or less resembling tree trunks. Finally the hologram finished its construction with the monster’s head. Lifeless eyes stared at Zalgo, the creature’s mouth cracked with the movement of its… teeth?

Zalgo stepped back, unnerved by the strangeness of the creature. The bot did not hesitate, charging instantly. Zalgo summoned the oil around him and created a wall between himself and the creature. The oil, as hard as iron, could withstand nearly any attack. The monster ripped through the defenses like they were paper. It grabbed Zalgo’s arm, crushing it in the thing’s intense grip. Commanding his blood, Zalgo wrapped the thing’s wrist in oil, producing spikes out of the tendrils gripping the monster’s hand.

The thing seemed to register no pain, its head vibrating softly. Willing his oil onward, Zalgo begun spinning the spiked tendrils. The oil sawed through the thing’s wrist, the massive hand still gripping Zalgo’s crushed arm. The alien commanded his oil to rush forward, slamming into the monster’s chest and carrying it to the other end of the room. Transforming into a spike mid-charge, it impaled the horrid thing on the other side.

Unable to move his right arm, Zalgo watched in horror as the thing ripped itself free of the massive spike and began to regenerate all the damage he had done to it.

”Manny… stop the test.” an unfamiliar feeling crept into Zalgo’s mind as he spoke the words.

The monster looked up towards Zalgo, its head vibrating harder than before. Its mouth clicking and cracking just as the noises he heard in his dreams. This was the creature plaguing his nightmares.

“Stop the test Manny!” Zalgo roared as he summoned more oil from his body, throwing it at the monster in a desperate attempt to keep it away.

The creature ran for him, like a broken gorilla charging an intruder. It ignored all of his attacks, letting the oil rip away large chunks of its body just to regenerate it. It leapt forward, hands outstretched, ready to rend Zalgo limb from limb. Suddenly, it stopped in mid-air and dissipated into nothingness.

“Holy shit. What was that thing?” Manny stated from the observation room. “It’s name is Handyman? I guess that sounds about right considering it’s made of fucking hands.”

Zalgo didn’t respond, instead rushing himself back to his room. He looked at his cocoon, knowing it would heal him. However, inside he would also sleep. If he slept he would dream, and he would dream of it. Seeing no choice, Zalgo entered his cocoon. He feared what would occur next as he enclosed himself in darkness.

Birds have this curious ability. It’s called “Magnetoreception”. It lets them sense the Earth’s magnetic fields, so they can know where they’re going, where they are, helping them keep track of their altitude, etc. An incredibly helpful tool for those without the intelligence or memory to utilise maps like we can. Besides, in the skies, nothing can really get in their way.

With no obstacles in the skies- apart from the occasional plane or predator- birds can just soar onward to their destination. Amazing how something can be so in tune with the world.

There’s another creature out there with a similar ability. It doesn’t soar, it doesn’t swim, nor can it even run. Despite being in a cave underground, it seems to know when it’s day or night up on the surface above. When it can feel night come, it trembles to life. When day starts to approach, it makes its way home or finds shelter just to settle down to stillness once more.

But, here’s the thing. If there’s some sort of electromagnetic fluctuation, what do birds do? If you were to feel like something’s wrong off in the distance? You wouldn’t be able to really comprehend the feeling, much less explain it in a way you could yourself understand, but you would know that there is something wrong. And what if that feeling stayed? You’d go through your days, finding yourself distracted, thinking on this sensation. If it weren’t for your responsibilities, your routine, your intelligence- all that makes you a functioning human being- you’d probably chase after it. If birds felt such a sensation, they would likely flock to it.

But this sensation wasn’t felt by the birds. It was sensed by that slow, strange thing far beneath the surface. At first, it couldn’t figure what it was. It loomed on the sensation for a few weeks, until it started to realise that this source was familiar. The way it could grow, how it seeped through the Earth itself to grow strong. It felt old, it felt immense, it felt… just like itself.

This thing, sentenced to a life of loneliness ever since it first appeared on this Earth, had actually sensed another like it. It began to rise, its old bones trembling, its digits twitching, its head buzzing thunderously with a static-like roar of noise, snaps and crackles echoing throughout the subterranean system it loomed in. It was going to seek out this source. It would travel slowly, underground or by night. It would migrate at its own restricted pace, simply walking under, around or through obstacles. This ancient, powerful creature felt hope- an honest connection with another- and sought it out, regardless of what could lay ahead. Besides, on this Earth, nothing can really get in its way.
