and if you're gonna talk about what college has the best academics, it's obviously Ivy League colleges. not much of a contest. well, i guess England probably has some good ones, i dunno
Well, depends what you're specializing in. If you want to get into the Arts, universities like RISD is probably a better fit than some of the Ivy's. In terms of computer science, some would argue Northeastern is actually much higher than what it's rankings suggest (like within the top 20 range, maybe higher). If you want to go into business, NYU's Stern program is probably better than what Cornell or possibly even what UChicago has to offer. In environmental sciences, I'm not confident, but I'm pretty sure at least half of the Ivy League's are not super strong in that field compared to some other specialized universities. And Wash U I've heard is way better than Cornell and a few other Ivy's in terms of economics. Cornell has been dropping a bit, and Brown is like a hipster school where you create your own portfolio and major, so you could do well or fuck up big time over there anyway. I think there are some other Ivy's that are slightly overrated compared to their overall reputation, but that's all I can think of for now. Plus some California Universities are pretty good. Berkley's not quite as good, but Stanford is definitely up there in the upper half of the Ivy's.

also: i'm not trying to be rude, but is English your first language? it seems like you're struggling, which is surprising considering the fact that you were accepted to a selective university.

You can still live in the US and not have English as your first language.

Yeah, but in the same post, he said English is his first language.
In regards to this thread, my favorite college is the college I'm currently attending, Johnson & Wales University. Woo, school pride.
