Name: Gram B. Lerner, nicknames include the soul Gambler, snake-eyes, the dice man, or simply the gambler

able to roll that give him certain powers based on the result of each individual die. Each power lasts for about 5 minutes, with the exception of the black die which only last thirty seconds, and each die disappears after it is rolled and will reappear in his pocket once the time limit has run out. The blue die revolves around defense, the red die represents offense and the black die represents powers*.

*Note I will be going to https://www.random.org/dice/ for the dice rolls that way I chose it randomly.

two large shields that can lock together to create an even large shield. Each individual shield is about one foot tall and half a foot wide. Together they make a one foot by one foot square shield. Also leaves his hands free. This combos very well with super speed or super strength.
2: iron skin- his skin becomes about as hard as rock
3: full set of knight’s armor- his vision becomes limited but it does combo well with super strength
4: unbreakable kite shield- combos well with super strength
5: steel skin- his skin turns into steel and is able to deflect bullets up to 50 cal. and swords but not blunt weapons but his movements become stiff and he slows down. Super speed or super strength will counter this.
6: extreme healing factor- he can regrow an arm that has been cut off in maybe two minutes.
Spoiler (Click to Show)
rse shoes in them. Combos very well with iron skin or steel skin and\or super strength or super speed
2: steel long sword –combos well with the kite shield or knight’s armor, or lightning arms.
3: sawed off shotgun
4: flame thrower- range twenty feet- combos well with flight.
5: AK-47- combos well with flight.
6: Grenade launcher with limitless ammo- the grenade launcher never runs out of ammo and has a special ability where it can lob all six of the shots it holds at once. When done takes one minute to reload itself. Normally takes ten seconds between shots. This also combos well with flight.
Spoiler (Click to Show)
200 mph max but has the down side of moving at the minimum speed of fifty mph. combining this power with iron skin or steel skin will lower the minimum speed to twenty mph but also lower the max speed to one hundred mph.
2: laser vision- can only shoot a laser for five seconds then the laser has to recharge for ten seconds. Can only be used three times before the power expires.
3: super strength-can lift a five ton car with ease and can walk through walls without trouble but with the downside of not being able to control his strength
4: flight- can fly at a speed of thirty mph with the downside that he has to pay attention to how high he is when the power cuts out.
5: lightning arms- arms become electrified and can shoot a continuous bolt of lightning
6: earth control- it is possible for him to create a new grand canyon but he would pass out afterwards. The attacks are kind of slow and the more earth he moves the more worn out he becomes as in creating a five foot tall spike will make him start to sweat.
Able to adapt to changing situations.

Is fairly agile for his size.

red or black dice.
-Has 120 dice orbiting around him in three rings at all times except when he rolls the black die. The rings of dice are arranged as such: two diagonal rings, one over each shoulder that form an X in the middle and back and also a horizontal ring that crosses over the other two rings at the X they form in the front and back.
-can shoot them at high speed at his opponents. A single die will cause a large bruise, ten dice hitting the same spot will break the bone in that location. 40 dice in a concentrated area will break through the trunk of a tree and all one hundred twenty dice will have enough force behind them to not only dent but also smash threw a 3 inch thick steel plate.
Can use the dice to create two large hands made up of sixty dice each that can be used to grab objects and throw them around effortlessly. This can be used to lift say a five ton car and throw it. They can also be used in conjunction with the boxing gloves to make a four handed strike.
The dice can also be used for defense such as blocking sword strikes or even gun fire.
They are made of bone.
When destroyed the individual die reappears in the ring that it started from.

led on the die the weaker the power also the black die has a tendency to roll lower numbers such as one through three. The other two dice are completely random.

His powers may not always complement each other. Full list of none complementary powers below.

skin because he will paralyzed for about thirty seconds as he is electrocuted.

-knights armor because he cannot shoot lightning but he can still shock his opponent if he gets close enough. Fortunately there is rubber insulation around the shoulders so that he is not electrocuted.

- Boxing gloves because he cannot shoot lightning but his punches become electrifying.

-shotgun, flamethrower, ak-47, or grenade launcher because the ammo will explode on him.

er easily.

-Needs to concentrate to use his dice powers. Dice hands are the easiest way for him to use the power and he can also concentrate on using his other weapons in addition to his dice. The farther away the dice get the harder he needs to concentrate.

If he rolls the black die the other dice disappear and he loses control of the dice until the power wears off then the dice reappear floating in the three rings around him.

Cannot control the dice that reappear in the rings that float around him until the whole original ring reforms.

ts owned in the early 1800’s and so learned the tricks of the trade at a young age. Over time he became an extremely good craps player and at age 28 he even started boasting that the devil could not beat him at the game. Upon hearing this the devil appeared before him and challenged him to a game. The stakes of the game were this, if the evil won then Gram would lose his soul. But if Gram won the devil would grant him one wish. Gram grinned and the game was on. In the end the devil lost and gram wished for the power over dice and to have three dice that would grant him unimaginable powers with each roll. The devil agrees but later found out that Gram had cheated him so he cast a curse on him that each of the powers rolled would be temporary and that his eyes would be replaced with dice and of course eternal life with the curse that he would never again win any game involving dice. The curse of course could be removed but only if Gram could win at a game of craps against the devil without cheating. And in order to get into a game with the devil Gram had to collect a minimum of ten souls. And these souls had to be won from people in fights for whenever Gram defeated a person he would get their soul. The person need not die for gram to get the soul. He just had to beat them in fair combat. That was over 200 years ago and so far Gram has lost about 4 games against the devil. Also since then he has become a really good poker player and has continued ownership of his family’s casino which is located in the heart of stick page city.

and thus in battle he may take risks that most other people wouldn’t so long as he knows that the outcome would be favorable to him. Also because he has been a gambler his whole life he is able to see when a situation is starting to turn sour and knows when defense or simply biding his time is the best option for him. Sometimes however he will show his hand two early and end up biting off more than he can chew. Also if he thinks that his opponent does not pose much of a threat to him he will start to toy with them. He will only take the souls of extremely evil people that he has beaten in battle.

Outside of battle however Gram is very pleasant and is quiet the ladies’ man. He is the type who will give money to the poor and rescue cat’s that are stuck in trees and has been an upstanding member of the local community for as long as anyone can remember. That is when is not at the poker or blackjack tables since he does not trust his luck at craps. After his deal with the devil he never again cheated at any game.

He also has a good sense of character
and weighs in at a little over two hundred pounds. He is lanky in every aspect and shows little to no muscle mass even though he is pretty strong. In appearance he is thirty but in actuality he is one hundred eighty seven with dark brown hair and is Caucasian. He usually has to duck when he enters buildings and when in tunnels. He can usually be found wearing his trademark green three piece suit and orange tie along with square rimmed glasses that have dark green tinted lenses and a dark green fedora that has an orange ribbon running around it and black dress shoes specially modified to also include steel toes. When he removes his glasses people can see that he has two white dice with has the result of one pointing out instead of eyes which is why he has gained the nickname of snake eyes.
ddle of the afternoon so that he could make his daily trip to the local homeless shelter where he would help out handing out the daily food and also see if he could help any of them get a job. Upon stepping outside he looked around and smiled to one of the bell hops and motioned for him to come over. The bell hop hurried over pausing only momentarily to let an elderly couple pass in front of him.

The bell hop looked at his boss nervously and stammered, “Y-you w-wanted me s-sir?”

Gram nodded and motioned for the young man to follow him, “Your Dave right? The one who I gave a second chance to after I found you at the shelter?”

The young man nodded nervously as he tried to keep up with his boss’ long stride, “That’s correct sir. If it weren’t for you I would have never turned my life around and would probably still be sleeping under the bridge.”

Gram nodded again and looked over at Dave and taking off his glasses and placed them in his suit pocket, “Do you know why I hired you?”

Dave shook his head and lowered his eyes so not to look at the dice his boss had for eyes and instead watch the dice that floated around him.

“I hired you because I could sense that you had potential,” Gram looked ahead again putting his glasses on again, “I hired you because you were down on you luck and needed work and because I believed that with hard work you may be able to go on to do great things. So today I am going to send you ahead to the shelter. I want you to feel what it is like to be able to help your fellow man and also take responsibility for one of the people at the shelter and help them become a productive member of society. Do you think you can do that?”

Dave nodded his head enthusiastically and stumbled a bit, “Yes sir I can!”

Gram chuckled slightly, “Ok then. Now run on ahead and tell them that I’ll be along shortly.”

The bell hop ran ahead full of confidence and Gram shook his head smiling thinking to himself that he had indeed made the right choice to bring him along today.

Gram was enjoying the pleasant weather they had been having lately as he walked to the shelter when he felt a sharp object poking him in the back. Turning his head slightly he saw a young man with bright red eyes held a sword to his back.

“Hand over all your money right now or die,” said the young man as he jabbed Gram in the back with the sword causing him to stumble forward slightly.

The gamble sighed and put his right hand into the pocket that held his three magical dice, “Are you sure you want to do this young man?”

The only reply he got was another jab in the back with the sword from the young man.

“Very well, as you wish,” said Gram with a shake of his head and jumped forward taking his hand out of his pocket and throwing the red die onto the ground.

The young man did not hesitate and swung the sword towards the gambler’s head only for it to pass through the spot that he had occupy a moment earlier. Confused as to why his sword did not make contact he looked up at the gambler and stumbled back as he was now holding a flame thrower. Turning around the gamble got a good look at the young man for the first time. The young man was wearing a black hoodie with the hood up and black sweat pants. His skin was tanned a dark brown and his face was covered in acne. Holding up the flamethrower the gambler smiled and pulled the trigger causing a cone of flame to shoot out the front. The Kid rolled out of the way and pulled out a revolver and fired three times only for all three shot to be blocked by the dice that orbit the gamble. The dice formed into two large hands that lunched forward towards the kid as the gambler chuckled. The kid rolled to the side as the fists passed overhead only to have to roll back the way he came as another burst of flame came towards him. The dice hands came again and grabbed the kid by the throat picking him up slowly. The kid struggles to get free as he started to choke. The hand suddenly let go and the kid fell to the ground onto his rear. Rubbing his neck he looked up to see the flamethrower sticking right in his face the small pilot light ready to grow into a large flame if the trigger was pulled. Looking up the barrel the kid saw that the gambler has removed his glasses.

The gamble looked the kid right in the eyes and smiled removing the flamethrower and offered out his hand, “You know kid I was tempted to kill you but I can see that you are just down on you luck. How about you come with me and meet a friend of mine who might be able to turn your life around.”

The kid thought for a moment and nodded afraid that this mysterious dice eyed man might decide to toast him if he disagreed and took his hand. The Gamble smiled pulling the kid to his feet and then took off the flamethrower and threw it into the nearest dumpster knowing that it would shortly reappear as a red die in his pocket. The kid looked at him confused for a minute then shrugged.

“Grab your sword and pistol kid and follow me. My friend Dave is waiting at the shelter for me. Won't he get a surprise when he meets you,” Gram chuckled as he lead the way to the shelter.

aye this is cool wRHG if not unique. (Well technically you're not the first to make a character based on a humanoid non-living object) Seems you've been here for a good 3 years. You mind if we have a spar or battle? Just to sharpen both of our writing skills?

Edit: Just a question, is Fred capable of feeling pain?

no Fred cannot feel pain also i am in the middle of a battle with Azure and his Manny Ken.
p.s. i know its not the first humanoid non-living object but its the first living training dummy. by the way the bucket on it's head is a reference to the training dummies in skyrim. some of them have buckets on their heads.

I might be able to fight you before then because my part is almost done. actually I might be able to fight you right now and have a two week deadline. how does that sound?

Hmm... Well, my schedule is extremely hectic atm, BUT I may be able to fight you now, but the deadline would have to be down the line. I'd estimate maybe January? I know you said two weeks but I do have an extremely busy schedule, but it's still one that's manageable. I'll pm ya for the details bucco.

Fog- Now I'm not saying that fog itself is a unique mechanic(I'm sure other people have attempted if), but this just feels as though you completely ripped the ability off PitchEnder's Dermot. Skull walker can even teleport within the fog, which makes me wonder what else you've "borrowed".

Mouths- While this is not a bad ability in itself(he can bite ,people... yay), does it truly belong in a category of its own? Maybe summarize all of his bodily shit in a neat little "anatomy" section?

Drool- Ugh, I'm so tired. Why did I decide to even review this character's abilities? Anyway, the description of the drool could have easily just been fit under the "Mouths" descriptions. Also, is the drowsiness in the drool really necessary? Why not make it something more believable, like "the raw stench of his saliva alone is enough to make those with weaker stomachs" or something along those lines? Idk, putting people to sleep with globs of spit just sounds stupid and unnecessary to me... regardless of whether or not it's an actual thing in real life.

Tentacles- These tentacles allow your monster to travel up to 50 mph even when its legs are removed. These tentacles, that are so fragile you can cut through 1-2 of them with a butter knife, are strong enough to crush the trunks of trees and puncture 10 millimeters of solid steel. What? This ability is just confusing. I'm tired. This isn't even a review at this point. I'm blatantly just pointing out stupid shit and bashing your character. I'm both sorry and not sorry at the same time.

Eyes- Essentially omnivision against any prey that can't poof from existence or teleport out of immediate eyesight. Once you're seen there's nothing you can do but shoot out this beast's eyes, which are protected by some fuck ass tentacles that are bipolar when it comes to durability.

Tongue- Again, probably could have simply fit under the "Mouth" description. Idk how I feel about this as an ability. You never state the strength of this tongue's pull, so I'm quite honestly just pissed off by it and going to assume this guy can pull whatever he damn pleases.

Mobility- Sure.

Taste- Well, fuck. So much for invisibility getting away from the omnivision.

Fog Manipulation- Nah, just fuck me, right? I don't know how to explain exactly how bothered this ability makes me, but it basically just feels unnecessary. I get the vibe you just decided to tack shit on as you proceeded with this idea.

Fog Teleportation- Too tired.

Cacophony of Voices- This is the only ability I somewhat like, and that's only because I don't outright groan when I read it. Still, though, it's pretty fucked. If you're gladdy just so happens to weigh less than 200 pounds, and finally manages to encounter/corner/dismember Skull Walker, all the creature has to do is start screeching like an idiot and its back to start while skull walker teleports to a new location.

Abilities that are affected by the recipient's willpower are always odd for me. Just what exactly is "strong enough will"? Is there a concrete example you can give me? A hard number? A scale? Anything? I'm sure we could, in ourselves, feel and interpret what a strong enough will might be and I'm certain we all have a good understanding of just what will is, but I just don't think something as broad as that translates well when we're talking limitations and exceptions. I have no idea what the fuck I just said, but I hope you get the idea of what I'm trying to say.

Skull Assault- Sure, though I'd like to know how fast these skulls are moving, what their conditions(healthy, fresh skulls or brittle and worn?) are, and just how far these skulls can fly.

Skull whatever- Gross and neat. Useful.

This just seems like a character you slapped together after taking an L and decided to post without any revision whatsoever as far as abilities go. Every single ability feels just tacked on, one after the other as though you finished one description just to go the next and be like "oh, and it can also do this, this, and this".

@Someone better than me,

Please give this man the review and critique he deserves. I don't think I can do it right now. I'll probably try tomorrow after/during school, read up more on the story/character itself, but for now I'm fucking sleeping.
