View Profile So instead of taking all the time in the world to finish your incomplete work, you decided that nope: I'll just post em right now and expect SP to have the same eye as my prof.
Sorry for the critical statement, but I was just wondering about the logic behind your decision to post unfinished work as if that was a valid reason to. Are you expecting us to cnc your dexterity as well? Did you require a second opinion your prof might not have been clear about? Because if you really did want this to be about dexterity, you'd state the conditions behind this test: How long did it take? What were the challenges that you faced, given the speed and duration of the task? What do you think needs work?
No. Instead, you plop these works here and disclaim that these were rushed and made under a time limit, as if to downplay that element. Because if the rush was intentional, it would be acceptable...right?
Can you at least talk a bit more about what you've done here and why? Are we also judging your speed or do you want us to judge rushed work?

View Profile Man, there's really nothing to say about these besides "keep practicing"
post something with actual effort put into it and maybe you can get some proper criticism then

View Profile He means if you spend five minutes on something, there's no point in criticizing it because it isn't your best work. If Drone broke all three of your images down and criticized the hell out of all of them, what would be the point if it wasn't your best work or up to standard with your usual work? He would have wasted his time on something you didn't spend any time at all on.
Come on, I shouldn't have to explain this to you.

You also completely missed the point of my commentary. Allow me to break it down:
1) You rushed it back then because your prof wanted something on-the-spot.
2) But you're not rushing now. So what's stopping you from finishing what you started?
3) Saying that you rushed it back then for reason #1 is no excuse to post rushed work because we aren't your profs.
4) You have all the time in the world to finish what you start.
A portfolio is defined as something you showcase in order to define who you are as an artist. Are we expected to define you as a guy who rushes things for the sake of being criticized? You're no different than a guy who rushes anims because they're "rusty".

I mean, I dont have the objects I was using for reference anymore, which is why i removed 2 of them(excluding the first for other reasons). You're absolutely correct that your not my professors and that I need to take responsibility for my work for my work reflects me. Rushed and incomplete work isn't acceptable and can't be criticized because there is no effort. You cant find a red line on a red paper, sort of speak. You,obv, are going to have to make the effort to identify that line so that others can be able to identify it,also, and be able to give your work that you put so much effort into demerits. I get that now.

View Profile To those who bother looking at this thread, sorry I haven't been consistent. I've been honestly slacking and being lazy but stay with me.
For zooming in and ish.
