If there has recently been a topic like this then feel free to delete. I am extremely sorry if so.

What made you the animator you are today? Did it start with stickpage? Has it always been a creative influence?
Feel free to chat and share your life with all of us. I'd love to hear!

My art background is simple. I'm self taught (for the most part) and have always loved to draw. Although being recently sedated due to medications and having an extreme art block, I'm back.

It's all start from Xiao Xiao SWF files on my uncle's PC (it's exported in Flash 5.0)
srsly? where does that come from anyway lol

Well, I'm kinda curious with the continuation part of Xiao Xiao 8
So i searched it on google, and it brought me to stickpage.com, sadly it does not exist.
And then i looked at Miccool's animation (Micwizard) Which it's extremely motivated me to create one.

Wow Stickly you've been doing this for some time, huh. My story's nowhere near as interesting.

In elementary school some kid names Giovanni introduced me to Stickpage. I wanted to try out making animations so I got pivot (didn't know that flash was the mainly used program at the time). I gave up on it after a few weeks. Pivot seemed too counter-intuitive. After I discovered sprite animations Newgrounds I learned that Flash was the program that was used. After doing sprite animation for a while I decided to start a major project. After working on it for about 4 months, I lost the files. I don't remember the details behind losing them but I think it involved a computer virus. It was pretty devastating considering that I had put so much work into them and really enjoyed my work. I don't really know what my reasoning was but I used this occurrence to start over and go back to stick animation. I'm nowhere near serious about it but I enjoy it so I'll stick to it for a bit.

My art is shit.

Ive always for as long as I can remember wanted to create a masterpiece. Sure sure sure, every kid must want to be a famous artist. Why am I the exception you ask? I have a very uncanny imagination and I always wanted to express it in one way or another. I wanted to see how far I could go drawing. However, I was never really committed enough to advance. When my friend showed me SP, I thought maybe this is the place. Then i started animation because RHG is coolio. Now, I just focus on both animation and drawing in hopes of making history or something worthwhile.

Xiao Xiao introduced me to the existence of stickfigure animations. Hyun made me interested in making my own. I then found Fluidanims. The rest is history.

Three years ago my friend was like, yo bro, you like artsy stuff right, there's this neat animation website called FA you should join, waited a few months before deciding to actually check it out, it was dead and merging with stickpage. Joined stickpage and started animating. Still animate, and I'm kinda good/decent at it stickfigures or otherwise. The end.
I've been drawing all my life, but I only got serious about art around the time I joined stickpage.

As a kid I loved playmobil. I still do but more as a part-time collection hobby. This love of playmobil introduced me to stop-motion animation and then to flash animation. The first RHG fight I saw was Oxob vs FoxnQ and after many views of RHG battles I found out stickpage. I get impressed easily and I loved the idea of animating. But since I'm lazy I never got to improve....After seeing the news of Doors 4 I decided to finally join this site. Though I didn't submit any parts to the collab. And here I am. About art on the other hand....
I always loved drawing. I liked drawing more complex drawings than other kids my age (6). But after many years of improving and doodling and sketching I still can't draw a fullbody or even a face!...I prefer drawing with pencil. The only time I make serious paintings is in my drawing lessons. I have mostly redrawn other people's paintings like Hopper's and Magritte's.
