I really wish that we can come up with ideas to make the RHG system actually good. On the co-leader topic, more than just give your co-leader tasks and all that. You're supossed to be the leader's main supporter. In my opinion my co-leader has to be someone I can trust on, someone that I know will be there when I need it and help me organise everything clan related. Is like... at least to me, I wouldn't make a decision without my co-leader's concern. Like if I agree with something but my co-leader doesn't, we would have to discuss it unil we both agree. Is a really important role for me.

Mostly every single RHG clan ever will fail eventually, except for the super serious clans like Nemesis or Zetabrand. They're basically just a place to hang out and chat at this point.

i actually have an idea on how to revamp the RHG system. Once i figure where to post it i will.

Post it in the General Discussion for people to talk about

That usually happens when clan members aren't participating on clan activities and god damn inactivity..
Oct 15, 2015 5:05 PM #1408934
Which happens eventually to every clan. Hell, even Zetabrand is inactive right now.
Oct 15, 2015 5:13 PM #1408936
They should make it so the clan is deleted if inactive

The mods usually just trash it.

So that explains everything, I used to think, Clan wars will be happening monthly but I guess that's in the dust now.
Thanks Hewit and Camila, now I know my task. Hope you all have a happy Halloween!

Ohhh fuck...I totally forgot about Clan wars. I've always wanted to avoid Clan wars because I'd be very nervous about my animating :/

How are you gonna get better otherwise?

Quote from GMRPost it in the General Discussion for people to talk about
Like that will do any good. Clan-Fix threads have happened thrice now, and nothing's come of it. It ultimately boils down to 2 sides:
a) Clans should be heavily moderated to only allow certain clans to exist. For example, a certain skill level is necessary in order to focus on mentoring (noobs will be forced to sign up with elite clans to learn and elites will be forced to have 'rookies' in their team to comply). The stance here is usually made by veterans of the craft who abhor the fact that nobody ever Clan battles seriously now, much less actually make weeklies and promos save for a certain dedicated few.
These vets have since hung up and left for the Dojo or disappeared after seeing so many noob clans form. Noob clans btw are people who animate in Pivot or cannot make a decent tryout to save their life (we're talkin' 5-8 seconds of crap here) who end up being leaders who just want to tell people what to do and end up disbanding after 1-3 months (sometimes 2 weeks). This also influences alot of nooby Clan Jumpers who will go to the next best clan if they find it "awesome" enough. This is because there isn't an RHG Clan Police that watches Jumpers or Crap Clan Suiciders nor is there a set of guidelines for that kind of thing. Apparently, Clans coming and going every 2 weeks is "normal".
VS
b) Some people animate for fun and therefore are allowed to do whatever they like. Ergo, Clans should not be moderated and anyone is allowed to make one on their own. The belief is that eventually these noob clans will realize how hard it is to actually manage as a unit and will join one of the better ones. The problem is, alot of vets don't like giving back. Intermediates would almost always make clans with other Intermediates, thus forcing noobs to make their own noob clans. The latter eventually dominated the scene into what it is now today. Moreover, the former just seems to want to make a clan to be "cool" and not do anything beyond that. It's liek the equivalent of making 'tests' just to show they're still relevant.
Stone's last recorded stance is heavily on side b and I used to enforce it as well, but it's been a long time and it's come to a point where the idea behind side A has further degraded the quality of Clans instead of improve them. So I have switched to side A.
Of course, it can be argued that the root cause for both side's disparaging is the fact that RHG is pretty much dead and irrelevant. Sure, it's still being practiced as a niche by alot of noobs who are allured by the Classics. But those Classics are no longer here and there is no Legacy being passed on.

True.
ONWARD, TO DOJO DUELS!
THE NEW RHG!
Seriously. Move on, peeps. At least until Jeff n' Stone revamp the system.

Don't listen to GMR. I actually rallied to make Boltz co-leader to make a statement: Having to be Co-Leader is not important in the greater scheme of things and polls like these are ultimately pointless. A Clan's main function is to animate, not play politics within itself. And Boltz can help revitalize the craft by knowing the true meaning of Clans. If we can influence just one Clan to be ideal and stable like NEMESIS, then we can slowly rebuild.
The problem is, everyone is just putting their hands in the air and refusing to do any serious help because they blame the system in itself for ALL the faults. While I previously stated that the root cause might be the fledgling RHG system, it's not like the system wanted this to happen. A system's failings are part and parcel with its people and the culture it provides.
GMR is a great example of this. GMR's clan was basically an exercise in futility. The Clan News was more prominent on who got in and who didn't, relying on who has the better tryout 90% of the time. And by the time they were "complete" (well, 5 out of 6 was the best he could do), GMR decided to hang it up for good, wasting everyone's time and this site's.
Don't repeat history, Boltz.

<_<
I do recall us being full twice.
Although, yes, I was young and didn't expect the clan to go anywhere. I was just having fun at that point, and we'd get on Skype every day and talk about animation and whatnot. That's what clans should be, good fun. Doesn't matter if they eventually fail. Clans are not anything permanent. They're a way to get better at animation, or for some people, (including me) a way to meet new people on a new forum. Hewitt thinks that they should be serious I'm guessing from his posts.
Me? Pfft, I don't think they should be serious at all. For gosh sakes, this is a stick figure animating site. Have some fun! Of course, if your clan is depending on you for something, do the best you can. At the end of the day though, clans are just for improving your skills. Improve and have fun with friends. That. THAT is the true magic of clans.
