As you may or may have not noticed, I've been running a lot of tournaments just whenever the hell I feel like it. I am creating this thread not only to log the results and rile us into pursuing a more active routine with this, but to also encourage other tournament leaders (or soon to be) to step up and start running their own tournaments. It would greatly boost the amount of activity for hard working players and raise the level of competitive play for top performance at big event.

I have registered the swift IRC channel #se-tournaments to have an open channel where anyone is welcome. Those who are invested leaders and anyone with a fair reputation are welcomed to be ranked. Talk to me and I will OP you. Aside from that, anyone can start events here and make brackets. My recommendation is to use challonge, as it's worked very well from me during the last several months of TOing.

Here's my list of WTAs I've hosted with challonge results. To make it easier for logging, I include the date for the url name.

Some questions to ask when moving forward with this:

1) Should these results be used in the PR I've set up with FiU? Or should I keep that separate.
2) How could we come up with some reward to our daily winners (that's not money, please don't drain my wallet)?
3) Could use this to create a systematic schedule for weekly and daily events, so it wouldn't be completely at random?
4) Should we use the official rule-set, or come up with something else for quick play?

"1) Should these results be used in the PR I've set up with FiU? Or should I keep that separate."

Keep it wayyyy separate. When they're impromptu tourneys, people aren't going to be turning it on the same way something they anticipate for.

"2) How could we come up with some reward to our daily winners (that's not money, please don't drain my wallet)?"

Drain your wallet. Just do it. No but really, do a forum post. Who gives.

"3) Could use this to create a systematic schedule for weekly and daily events, so it wouldn't be completely at random?"

*cough* Zenith Open *cough*

"4) Should we use the official rule-set, or come up with something else for quick play?"

Bo1, Castle only available map please.

So to sum this up, we hop on the irc channel and if there's enough players for a bracket we can do it right there.?

I like this idea, not focused on a specific time but rather whenever.

This is something different. Fire it Up! is an organized, scheduled series. Here, I'm trying to keep an IRC room for general tournaments in hopes to boost more activity.

Still going. This is just a more informal series without reward points.
