lol archer great

Tell me how am I supposed to hold off a constant stream of spears with archers, especially when it eventually becomes multiple spears? >.>

"After amassing a crapton of Spears, the opponent would quickly tech up to using Giants, as I can't do much about it, since my opponent would micro his units out of my electric walls whenever I cast one (same with explosion,) and the opponent would get merics to cure my poison.

Lastly to add insult to injury, they don't use archidons AT ALL.

The horrors of 1.5k-1.6k league ;-;"

This is a strategy I use against players of Wyz's calibre. ;)

Seriously? .-.

That's why you have some other spears. The point of massing archers is so that you can pressure anyways, and not let them stream in the first place

Are you able to kite? On longer fields, 3 archers, with 2 swords, will easily chow down on a spear. If they are getting a spear out earlier, you have eco advantage... you can stream some swords, and garrison one's before they get killed, and get CA (you should be holding center).

If he loses his spear, game is pretty much over. If he retreats his spear, you pressure him, make him waste 300 gold and get a CA, while you get eco advantage, toss up a wall, and go into whatever meta you want.

So like, the idea is to kite it out and take inefficient engages, but if you guys are all so cleverly answering it, care to play me sometime? For reference, I run two variations, the mage all-in and the giant tech. I've used both vs mystery, and the iconic game I cheesed him out in uses the mage all-in. Don't be so arrogant as to think it can't work in top level play as a cheese.

DJ Dazzy daz, I would love a few friendlies... but for the above, we are not talking 2400 level play... we are talking Jafrank.

Yes I understand that, but I'd like people to stop taking such a superior attitude towards such a strategy because done right, it is damaging. A spear rush can easily take out a miner (guaranteed) without a wall pre-emptively setup or a very fast hustle. Then it just snowballs while they tech into a giant. :)
