And that officially wraps it up!

devi AKA Nick Fury, the true blue Avenger runs through the hallways of justice, guns blazing. He trips a few silent alarms, shuts down a few drones and cameras, and blasts a few keypads for good measure. But it is all for naught. It was Tony Stark's tower after all, and these past few nights of sneaking out and learning every nook and cranny of the complex finally paid off. Nick Fury was finally gunned down in the "Panic Room", after Sue Storm manages to hold Nick in stasis, just enough to make it look like an accident. Thor then proceeds to use his lightning powers to permanently disable the lockdown by calling a huge lightning storm down and shattering Stark Tower's infrastructure. As the shutters began to recede, and the panels disengage, the armada waited for them outside.

The Invasion had begun.

Picture me laughing hysterically. Animosity is the appropriate response.

To be honest, the whole game began to go downhill because of two things. The first thing was Apex's complete lack of empathy and the fact that he continuously dropped the ball to the point that we thought he just HAD to be mafia. But that wasn't the worst part of it in my opinion. Things started to fall apart when mafia was talked about in the skype chat. It helped Devour to get even more strategy in the game and persuade people--And I also revealed within that group that I was using my scry that night. It was because of this that I was killed before giving important information, and things basically started to spiral out of control when the rest bandwagoned Apex because of his suspicious behaviors (Which, by the way, he couldn't have saved me anyway because of my chaos field).

It was only the day after I died that I realized Devour was mafia. It all came together after the PM fiasco, accompanied with the fact that I looked to scry Jelly before Devour seemingly innocently persuaded me to scry Zero instead. Then, Jelly came to his defense regarding the PM and it sealed the deal for me that he was skrull too. However, I never suspected that Envoy was skrull--Twas a good job there.

Anyway, I'm sorry we lost guys. I did pretty good up to Day 3 but then I really dropped the ball. I consider this a learning experience though.

There there bby. I'm sorry I betrayed you. It was hard to see me coming.

Now about the divorce.

But in all seriousness Jelly really carried the team from the beginning having to deal with a couple of noobs. And without Devour's infiltration and pushing things may have ended differently. I salute them.

There's going to be a lot of talk that the Town played badly this game, through inactivity and disinterest. The thing is though, there were a lot of great Mafia players who would have stuck it through until the end.
We just made sure they all died first.
It might have been playing dirty, but we purposely got rid of as many good Mafia players as we could. We kept the inactives alive, which is why Exilement never went down actually. Every time Apex and Devi came under fire early (especially Apex), I mentioned that I just knew they were simply Town players who didn't give a damn about the game. It was better to try and lynch someone besides them so that we didn't waste our vote. The Town became a shell of itself by Night 3.

Boomerang is going to be under fire for announcing his intentions to Scry on the Skype chat (Mind you, we all thought Skype was totally fine at the time. I remember previous mafia games used IRC as well), but that isn't entirely his fault either. I was fully encouraging for us to trust each other on there. I told Mantha she was on my list of confirmed Town players, and that if she ever had people suspecting her that I would have her back. When Devi and others mentioned that maybe Skype wasn't that safe, I announced that I trusted everyone there on the chat and that we were making great progress figuring things out. With that said though, Boomerang announcing his Scry intentions was indeed a mistake that was a huge turning point for the Town's loss. It's also the main reason the bandwagon against Raptor happened so quickly.

When I was on the verge of being lynched... man that was rough. My show of being a wall of confidence and a personality that just couldn't be Mafia had cracks all over it by the end of the day. When Nish suddenly found Lamitrov's PM in his Gmail, that was a lifesaver. I mean, the PM really was never devious from the start. Lamitrov might have been Mafia but his move still didn't benefit the Skrull at all. If that had killed me, it would have just been dumb bad luck.

I mean, Lami's PM really was never a Skrull move. We can see that now through the night actions. So would I have ever been suspected if it weren't for Nish's recollection of it? Everyone's already saying, "Oh I knew Devour was Skrull!" But is that even true? Or is it because there's pre-existing suspicion because of Lamitrov's PM?

Before getting mad at the other Town players... maybe the Mafia did a good job this game. A lot of the blunders were guided by us.

Good game, friends.

While you guys are discussing, I have taken the liberty of adding a poll to this thread. I didn't expect this Round to go so long so for Round 2, I shall be making a new thread instead. This has thus given me an opportunity to tweak or modify the Roles as they are now. I would like to ask you if you wish to change ALL the roles or retain the same setup for round 2.

For Yes, I will not change ALL the roles but the strategy will be significantly different when I'm done with it.

Here's a sample of some of the potential roles:

Black Widow - Subterfuge - Every night, Black Widow can #check surveillance on whereby the can either be an existing player or a previously NightKilled Player. Black Widow will learn who visited that Player, if any.

Ghost Rider - Soul Bond - Every Night Ghost Rider can force a pact with another player by PM-ing me #bond with . If Ghost Rider is ever killed at night, he will take his Bondmate with him to the depths of hell.

Karma - Body Swap - Every Night, Karma can #swap minds with . You and that person will instantly swap roles (but not alignment). This swap will be announced the very next day.

Deadpool - Regeneration - Deadpool has 2 lives. Upon being killed the first time, he will become a weakened mortal. As a weakened mortal, he will not be able to vote in the Day but he can still post like normal. When he is killed the 2nd time, or if he is killed by 2 different sources at once, then he dies for real.

Vision - Revenge Ray - Vision will fire up his laz0r and kill any 1 of the last 2 people to lynch him in the day (he has to choose).

and so on...

For No, I will merely nerf/tweak a few of these roles, maybe reword some of them but more or less it'll be the same thing. So you can reference this thread if you want to study strategy.

Also please note that for the Round 2 draft, I will be forbidding you from choosing the same role you had in the first round.
And yes, I'm aware that some of you would not like to be in Round 2, but please just vote all the same. Potential 2nd-Round joiners like Arch-Angel and Smile may vote as well.

I'd like to propose a little thing. I don't know if it would fit in this type of mafia setting, but y'know how Town of Salem has a medium? What if you were allowed to do something like that, but for one night only. Talk to a single dead person of your choice, and they have to tell you during the day and maybe they PM with them during the night. I'm not really sure how it'd work but I think it'd be a cool concept to take into consideration considering it'd be an important role for both skrull and avengers (avengers can figure out info, but the skrull can too if they're one.)

Boomerang, its too OP. Maybe in a normal Maf game that could work (and I know how to implement it) but this is a Smalltown. Imagine if the Medium was Loki or a Skrull, the game would be broken as hell.

On the other hand, check out my Black Widow idea above which is better/nerfed for the purpose.

I actually like Black Widow's powers. Would she be able to see every person that visited that player ever, or just for the night before?

This game was a total manslaughter lmao. There was a solid mafia team and a town that could've done better, so this game was mafia controlled from the start.

I'd like new roles.

GGWP FU.

Edit: Short post game rant because I need it out of my system. Credit where it is due. Well played Jelly, Devour and Envoy. Good stuff. As for the townies, of all the games I've played I'd say this was the worst Mafia (or Rabbit Doubt or any Mafia variation) game the townies have ever played. Not just because of Apex, there are at least 4 others who made horrendous mistakes. I won't name names because I don't care enough. I could be in this list too. But I won't take anything away from the Mafia team. I think with these guys as Mafia, there was a 90% chance of them winning anyway, because they did it masterfully. But there could have at least been a better fight from our side, to make this interesting. Well done, Mafia. I thoroughly admit defeat on this one.
