Ernest - Your animation lacks... focus. A lot of the time it was hard to tell what was actually happening. A lot of scenes felt disconnected from each other as well. I appreciated the action, however.

Escarioth - The angles and perspective felt fairly inconsistent, and it took WAY too long to get going on the actual fight. I could've sworn it was like a minute or so in before I saw the "RHG 3" bit. Your background, stick construction, movement, etc all felt to be a step above Ernest's, though, so I voted for you in the end.

Voted Escarioth, but good job to both of you. Keep at it!

Escarioth: -nice angles, did you draw the background?, story(reason of the fight), rezising
Ernest: -put faces, use tween to do slow motion, some angles dont make sense

Voted Ernest, it had better fight altough escarioth had a bit more of quality

What do you mean by "my angles felt inconsistent"? I usually just throw in angles just to do it. Are there rules?

I agree that relative to the length of the fight, the intro was too long. I intended for the fight to be longer but I ran out of time, and well the intro was already there since I have to start with it. The intro in un-relative terms is an ok length to me however. My character isn't designed in a way that lets me just walk up to someone and attack them. So unless my opponent's character is a dick, my intros will be long. I like intros. More peace, less war :o

did you draw the background?

Why yes I did. Erroth likes pretty things, so I make sure his battles are well stocked with them.

What I'm talking about is stuff like this:

At first the implication is that Escarioth is at the top of the hill, with Ernest looking up:

Scene#1 (Click to Show)

Then in the next scene, we see this:

Scene#2 (Click to Show)

Now the implication is that Ernest is looking down on the hill.

Then you proceeded to I guess, rectify the error and put Escarioth on the upper end of the slope:

Scene#3 (Click to Show)

Now it matches the original implication in scene # 1, but it contradicts scene # 2. This is just confusing for the viewer. If you wanted to make it a close up of sorts that looks behind Ernest and up to Escarioth, you could've handled it a lot better. (And you do, but that happened later.)

But then you do it again. Now, even though it's been established that Ernest is at the lower part of the hill, (and he's already stepped back so he should be even lower on the hill), he appears to be on the upper end of the hill again:

Scene#4 (Click to Show)

Now I'm just confused. I know that they should be on a hill of some sort, but is Ernest on some weird area where the ground is shifting? Is he taller than Escarioth at some times and not at others? What's going on?

Now this next bit was both good and bad. Here's why:

Scene#5 (Click to Show)

Here they're both side by side, so they should be on the same level. They're on the same level, so they're at the same height. That's fantastic! We can now say without a doubt that both Ernest and Escarioth are supposed to be roughly the same height. We're back to the original implication of scenes 1 and 3. Escarioth is at the top of a hill, and Ernest is looking up at that hill. Great!

But... on the other hand, this again contradicts # 2 and # 4. We can try to mentally disregard what's happening as an error though, and say safely that the previous understanding of the situation must be accurate.

From then on, though, you managed to keep it very consistent and I was happy with that. The earlier scenes (#2 and #4) only made it confusing. Be wary of that sort of thing in the future.

voted Ernest personally his seemed a lot less one sided while escarioth seemed very one sided as your rhg moved barely at all, seemed unstoppable so it wasn't very interesting to watch even though you had some good camera angles

good job both keep it up
