To animate.

To do anything, when you don't feel like getting off that couch that seems to infinitely pull you with all it's might, refraining you from doing that ONE JOB that needs to be done.

And even though you know that the greener side is just a hop away, yet, you're not motivated enough even to even lift your leg. Why?

Because you know that you cannot do it, even though you haven't even tried at the slightest.

At that very moment, what is that one thing that keeps you going?

What is your inspiration?

All throughout life you're always in constant competition with everyone you know, whether you realize it or not or choose to believe it. You have to be a better candidate for the job, you have to be better than everyone else at your job in order to maintain it and advance, and you've got to be the alpha male in order to get the girl. So yeah, sit on the couch and watch tv. I'll be busy taking your job and fucking your girl.

I don't have the motivation for anything. I hope a car hits me.

This logic doesn't always work, but it does work often enough for it to be a motivational factor.

I agree with Arch, and also because it's fun. XD Well, not animating especially for me, but a hobby that you enjoy. (EX: Animating)

When I animated my first toon I felt surprisingly relieved. I thought that I was just enthusiastic and wouldn't like in the end. But seeing what you created move on it's own feels you with joy. Even if what you created was mediocre. It was actually FUN! The thing is, I'm lazy. Also my macromedia flash 8 is in an other computer but that's just an excuse. I have felt many times that it would be cool to do something again and I knew that if I started, I could actually finish. But then I didn't do anything. I'm like a smoker who knows that he failed at quiting smoking but is okay with that by being a total hypocrite. In fact, that's what I'm doing right now.

You're motivated to get hit by a car.

I like it when people are better than me at something, but not out of reach. It gives me a lot of inspiration when I can think "yeah, that's how good I gotta be!". That's usually what keeps me going and aiming higher, especially when my standards get higher and I start to reach a level I never thought I would've reached. It's not good when I get good too fast though, as that's when my ego starts to get the better of me and I start to overestimate myself.

Being a God in the realm of animation is what motivates me.

How does that not motivate anyone?
