God's love is unconditional, but he cannot be a part of sin so he must exercise his righteous character through judgement. And that person who broke their ribs-it was my mother. And a professional doctor declared on both cases. As for the babies, they are still serving a purpose in the long run. Say those children died and their families (if they have them) were upset, evidently they would be correct? The world can offer nothing to counter the loss of that unique life, but The One who made that person could very well meet their needs. The only thing that can make up for a loss like that is God's love.

Then he isn't omnipotent, correct?

Then you are either lying or the victim of a most horrendous con. Either way, I feel really bad for you.

Ok so you're saying he created a universe for fun, put babies in there who didn't ask to be born, gave them a horrific and painful disease they didn't deserve, took them away from the people they loved, tortured them brutally, but its all ok "cuz I luv u babe" ?

Ayy this thread is getting a bit derailed. Before it turns into its own thing, would anyone like to create a thread and I'll move these posts into it? (Should I even do that in the first place?)

Shut it down. This clearly wasn't created to be a debate.
Edit: Also, thanks for getting that Racial inequality thread in the Trash Can so we can at least see the points.

Ignus apparently never heard of the Streisand effect. Way to go this is now a religion debate because you unintentionally made the spotlight your unwavering Christianity. No one would have even known/gave a fuck if you hadn't explicitly mentioned it in the first place.

Its not Ignus that made the debate thread like this. Its nightshademalice.

I think there came a point where a person (or group of persons) didn't like the way the then society was, and wanted to change it. This/These person(s) created a story about God and spun stories of how God would send people who sinned to Hell.
But these 'sins' were the things/activities that the aforementioned individual/group didn't like, hence self made.
People were afraid, so finally, there was 'peace'.
But soon, somebody felt creative/jealous and created their own 'religion'. This went on, and now we've as many religions as the letters in this post.
-end of unpopular opinion-

imo, from a religious standpoint, if humans were decent, there wouldn't be any prophet getting sent.

Hmmm... So this is what happens when I mention my religion? Okay, noted...

Thing is, you never had to say you were Christian and that your faith will never waver. You could have started the debate off without saying so and we'd be all for it. It doesn't add to the argument you want us to debate on so it is isn't really needed.
You could have offered more points on how your viewpoint is justified. :)
Just saying.
