I wanna know why Mountain Dew is like, the drink of Geeks. Like, even before it was ever associated with gamers, Mountain Dew has been the stereotypical brew for hackers and programmers alike. What makes Mountain Dew so appealing in that way?

My only guess is the stereotype of how MLG promotes it. You know those early CoD montages where teens splices "sponsor intros" to make themselves look cool? Although if it reaches that far back then I have no idea.
