"One of who?" Cecile furrows her brows. She looked down to her uniform and it seemed to make sense. Was she running away from the VFI?

"I'm not one of them," She added, then her eyes went dark. "I used to be but decided to leave when they... did something to me but that doesn't stop me from being a doctor. So please, miss, your name would be help on its own. I want to help."

Cecile reached out, her hand an open palm for the girl to touch. She didn't move forward or made an impression that the girl should, it was simple a welcoming hand.

A portal opened up above Bang and his brother, the white emptiness revealing nothing until a minotaur burst out of it. The sudden attack took the brothers by surprise, forcing the gunman to dive away as Magnus landed on Bang. Bang raised his massive hands and grabbed Magnus' forearms mid slam, forcing them into a power struggle so intense that the cement around them cracked.

Meanwhile the gunman aimed at Vi and took fire, releasing a barrage of extremely accurate bullets towards the spideress.


During this the first cop car arrived. An extremely fit man stepped out of the squad car wearing a bullet proof vest with the word RIOT emblazoned across his back in large gold letters. He took aim with his grenade launcher and fired several tear gas canisters into the rioting people.

"Sure, I'll get one. He'll just get drunk again and get himself killed eventually though." He stared at the drunkard, who was muttering, "Po...Patatao..."
Frank turned around and saw 3 bullets streaming toward him and the others.
"Well whoop-de-do."
They all missed him, only nicking his perfect tie.

Draou attempts to start wrecking havoc on the 2 assailants, but then realizes he is out of energy too late...
"Darn, this is getting intense... better throw something in... ACK! (CRAP, that hurts)" - Draou

Draou realizes he is low on energy from the pain in the side of his head, meditating as fast as he can behind some panels on the roof (to avoid being seen) so he can teleport back Magnus if things get rough...

As Draou does this, he begins to notice the increase in forces moving in to control the crowd. Draou starts coming up with another plan:

(Teleport back Magnus after the supers are dealt with/delayed, then find a way to get inside the main building... possibly by breaking into the side of one of the windows... He then decides that it may be easier to ask Magnus first and find out who the strange girl is later once the situation is over. First, however, he needs to focus on the task on at hand, deciding to deal with figuring out what is really going on with all the strange people arriving later...)

Vi sensed something was going to happen, but she didn't see what was it. She stood in a defensive position not knowin what was causing her senses to trigger. In the next second, a couple of dudes appear out of nowhere above her enemies, she kept her eyes locked on the gunman who was ready to shot. Placing her legs in front of her, she sprinted towards the man blocking each one of the bullets as she rushed forwards doing zig-zag movements. When she was close enough she stretched 2 of her legs towards the man's arms attempting to cut off his tendons so he wouldn't be able to pick up more guns. If that were to work, she'd proceed to enter the building.

Amanita looked at the hand Cecile gave out to her. Though she'll refuse her hand, she can at least tell her name.

"My name's Amanita Foxglove... and I would like to shake your hand, but..." she looked at her skin, still coated in poison.

"Even if you're not one of them, what do you want with me?"

Magnus, trying to hold back Bang's massive arms, reached for his ax on his back, he managed to grab it, and swung it at Bang's neck, attempting to slice his throat and kill him... He noticed the spider girl slashing at the gunmen, but he had more pressing matters to attend to...

"I want you safe," Cecile said determinedly. The sound of gunshots alert the medic to her surroundings and the first canisters of tear gas are lobbed into the crowd. "Amanita, I don't know what the VFI has done to you but know this: I don't like them as much as you do. Let's build our trust there for now. Please, let's move to safety."

Cecile looked over her shoulder and saw the journalist still with the drunkard. She nodded and looked to Amanita, waiting for a response.

"That wasn't satisfying at all," she muttered, not that it really ever was. Not when she was with VFI, not when she was taking contracts, no matter how much blood she spilled, it never really felt worth it. And recently, she could even pull the trigger without so much as blinking. It worried her to be so nonchalant about murder, a weapon without a purpose.

"I wonder," she wondered, as she absentmindedly flipped a switch on Reviathan. A familiar and yet rare sensation passed through Meredith as she could feel the gun morph into something different, something more powerful. Electricity coursed through the barrel as Reviathan's true form revealed itself.


"So...you agree to huh boy?" she remarked talking to the beast. With more conviction than anything else she had done in her life she aimed the gun at the side of the building.

Reviathan began to roar, as the gun began to tear the air around it.

"FUCK VFI!!!" She yelled as the railgun fired, a huge explosion of noise of light erupted as the bolt of lightning tore through the building.

Just as Draou finished meditating, a bit of debris whizzed by his head.

"AH! What the h#ll!" - Draou

Draou looked over to see the side of the building broken open. To top it off, he now had a bunch of dust and bits of concrete stuck in his hair and under his hat, much to his displeasure.

"Holy $#%@ h#ll... who did that?!" - Draou

Draou looks down at Magnus, hoping he is having some success in his brawl with the werid giant fisted moron... ("seriously...", Draou thinks, "what do these chumps think they're doing anyway?")

As Amanita is about to respond to Cecile's offer, she heard Meredith from the distance profaning the VFI building while destroying the walls with her weapon.

"Woah, what's going on?" she asked inquisitively.

(Draou's constant swearing can be heard for a good distance.)

Magnus and Bang suddenly lost interest in each other as a massive explosion rocked the VFI building. Blowing a massive hole in the side of the buildings structure.
He took advantage of Bang's distraction and swung his ax again towards his neck, hoping to decapitate him...

Bang held up Magnus' arm with one hand as the axe was swung at him. The big-fisted mutant raised his arm and blocked the blade with his forearm. He smiled at the minotaur's confusion and headbutted him in the chin.

The gunman rolled forward out of the way, firing his guns at the spider woman every rotation. He jumped to his feet still firing until the guns he held clicked dry.

Suddenly a massive blast slammed into the structure, blowing out a large hole in the side. The mercenary looked in awe at the firepower that was just unleashed.

"Come on Bang, they're not paying us enough for this!" he shouted as he already started running.

"Wait for me Merc!" The powerhouse yelled back as he struggled to catch up to his brother in retreat.


Meredith noticed the speaker from earlier standing in the hole that she had made.... and he was staring right at her.... with a sniper rifle in hand. He had the same cold stare as when he was speaking. His rifle was unlike any she had ever seen and he was already taking aim.

"I think its the people who want VFI down showing themselves," Cecile smiled meekly. She'd love to meet the shooter but priorities are set.

"Let's go, I'll fetch my other patient and we can get going to the shooter. Maybe he can give us some help." Cecile reiterated her offer with her hand.
