With the current chat bans and appeal system, mods aren't held accountable for unjust bans they make. Certain mods continue to make the same mistake of banning accounts unjustly. Say a mod bans someone unjustly, what happens to the mod, nothing... They can keep making the same mistake (some I believe are on purpose) and nothing happens to them.
I purpose a system that will rack up black marks every time a mod makes an unjust ban. Reach a certain amount of black marks and get your ability to mod taken away. I believe this will cut down on the number of pointless and unjust bans and create an environment that is both fair to the player and to the mod.

They don't make unjust bans though.

So your saying no mod has ever made an unjust ban? Why do you think there is a whole thread based on getting accounts unbanned that were unjustly banned?
Stop being dumb Ase.

Because you bitch a lot. You are pretty much the only one who somehow finds himself in these issues. With multiple admins too. I wonder why.

Nah, not needed. The mods do a great job overall given they have to deal with so many difficult people and are doing it for free. Overall, when one gets something wrong, it generally gets sorted and they don't appear to make the mistake too many more times.

Not needed. When a mod goes beserk our community is small enough for them to get marked anyway.

He has a point we should debate it in a respectful manner.
This has to come from CJ and their is little point in showing CJ evidance aginst a mod if he won't make the descison to demote them HOWEVER
Their are some dubious bans that are made for the wrong reasons and all that stems from haveing a global made have been a bad discison by CJ considering all the time that has to be spent my him makeing these sorts of choices.
However it could also be argued theirs no point in recording bans stuff like recording bans is neccescary just in case something bad happened! Even if we trust the community
Theirfore even if we think we can trust the Modarators we should record their 'mistakes and judge perhaps if powers are being abused.
To end my point id like to add this stuff does go on and I think certian people are maybe trying to protect other mods and them selves (a risk maybe not a fact) (I say maybe because I have no evidance but strong suspisions it is going on)
I think we need to be more critical of the mods (which is difficult hence their some of the most influential and likable people on these forums and many are mofs them selves)
And also ignore the person behind the suggestion and listen and consider their idea.

How would the system differ unjust ban and just ban? I also think this is not necessary.

I think a log would be more appropriate for any chat bans longer than one day. This way there is public information for the reason behind it, and most questions can be answered before being asked. If there's a dispute, it can also be brought up here in a civil manner, of course.

Agreed Wyz. A log would certainly help give context too.

I second the ^ above post.

Depending on what they do, most I went through was 1 week.
I still think the chat system is royally screwed and it needs to be updated, and give mods more power please. Not saying to go overboard, no..but more than just banning a username for a specific amount of time.
