What's the worst nightmare you ever had?

Once I had a dream where I was just having dinner with my family (I assume/felt it was my family, didn't really focus on that), there was a lot of different types of food to eat, and I tasted every single one of them, but just when I was half-way through a portion of meat cake, I realized it was stuffed with a grey, oval shaped thing...
A closer look and I discovered that stuff were ticks.

And when I checked the rest of the food, I saw that everything was stuffed with ticks.

Big. Fat. Ugly. Ticks.

Worst part was that I couldn't open my mouth to spit or anything, and all I could do was chew and chew and chew. My mouth was dry, so it never softened. I couldn't open my mouth neither to just pass it through without tasting it.

It was awful.

I also remember I had a dream where all of my teeth fell from my mouth, it felt awful too but that's a common dream on people lol

Well this nightmare came to me about 6 years ago. And I still remember every part of it.
It was midnight and I went with my friend Super mario (YES IT WAS SUPER MARIO) to a shop that sells flashlights. I bought a small one and when I got out. The place oddly turned into a somewhat prison? I don't really know...Anyways when I looked up. I saw 4 creatures walking on the wall. I wanted to see them closer so I got close and used my flashlight. Such a surprise that there was: a black panther,a lion, a tiger and a something that looked similiar to humans. But It was bald, wore a grey sweater, no pants and it walked on 4 legs. Not to mention that it had an ugly ass mcdonalds face. And it pounced on me with its fucking sharp finger nails and its teeth.
So I quickly woke and I noticed that I was breathing hard.

Many dreams of mine involve a zombie apocalypse of sorts for some reason. But the one I'm going to talk about had something special. SO. In this one I was in a house very close to mine, locked and safe with some other survivors (my family and relatives specifically). However there were some things I had forgotten in my house and I had to take them real quick. I walked in my house as quick as possible so as to not get caught by other zombies. I saw none though. I entered my house and then my room but getting out, I saw a gorilla like creature that charged towards me. Unable to escape through the door I tried to open my eyes and wake up.

I woke up in my room. Getting out of it I saw the same gorilla like creature. I tried to wake up again but the same thing happened. It perpetuated another two times if I remember correctly. And then I woke up again. For real this time.

The thing is though, I always thought this was the case. To make matters worse, waking up and entering the real world I still felt terribly anxious. As if my mind conflicted with itself. Trying to convince me I was really awake and that it wasn't real. In my dreams I saw worse things, but I always escaped them by waking up. This was not the case. I was unable to escape the terror, and when I did the latter followed me. That's why I consider this my worse dream.

Ugh. Might I say that ticks are my least favourite insects (arachnids actually but whatever). They are ugly and fat. But they are nothing but the blood they have consumed. Not like mosquitos though. You need a doctor if they bit you and stuck with you. Their head stays in your body if you try to get them out yourself. That's a terrifying thought. Which makes me realise that I essentially just fed your subconcious with more terrors... heh!...sorry...

There was one I had a while ago where I woke up as another person living a different life, and the actual me had died and the person I became was framed of my murder. It was horrible.

I have a ton of dreams with scary situations, but none of them really frightened me in dream or out. Though sometimes I feel scared in dreams and that's what makes them scary. There wasone for example where I was in a dark room by myself, already I start to get nervous, then when fear sets in I see a man in the room with this unreal smile. He stared right at me with such intensity, I tried to talk, or even move, but I couldn't. He started laughing at me, still giving me that creepy smile all the while. I was terrified at this point, and I tried my absolute hardest to do something, anything. But I couldn't do anything, I stopped breathing, my very ability to choose or act was taken, HE had taken it. I was slowly sufficating to death, and I was truly horrified.

Then I woke up and realised my pillow was stifling my breathing.

Here's 3 for your enjoyment:
-Really sleepy and groggy in my dream, I stepped into my shower and noticed the water switches were a pair of gnarled hands that I could twist. I thought that was odd, and there were outlines on the walls that were shaped like arms. I slowly followed the outlines up to see the shape of a whole body.
When I reached the showerhead, it was a head screaming in agony inches from my face. The jumpscare woke me up with my heart going a million miles an hour.

-A different dream, although I'm graduated I dreamt I was in school when the alarm went off. A school shooting was going on. I was hiding behind the teacher's desk as I heard a gun go off, killing students one by one as I hoped the shooter wouldn't find me. Hella stressful.

-For about 3 times, I kept waking up to find some girl with a taser waiting for me. Each time she would mock that I thought I had gotten away from her before tasing me. Even though it was a dream, that was the only time it actually hurt really fucking badly. Never had a dream like that before or ever again, thankfully

I don't have dreams anymore, either just peaceful sleep, which I get most of the time, or nightmares, which hit me every few weeks or so.
Probably the dream that haunts me the most to this day was when I was around six years old. Laying on my bed, I turned towards the side facing the wall, and a freaking puppet with gouged out eyes with blood dripping down its face and a devilish smile literally popped out of nowhere. I woke up sweating buckets...

This may sound weird, but have you guys ever heard of the movie Kangaroo Jack? Well, look up the cover of the movie, and keep it in mind for this.

In the dream, I'm in a city but none of the buildings have doors or windows and are all grey. There are no people around, but there's a trail of paper leading somewhere. I follow the paper and end up in a dark alleyway, I start sweating when suddenly, Kangaroo Jack jumps out at me at tickles me for what seems like hours. When I was 6, this was one of the most scariest experiences I ever had, and I had almost drowned once before that.

I had a dream somebody hacked into my SP account and posted lots of bad stuff, and since there was no delete button for posts, I couldn't delete them.

That's a really sad nightmare.

I think mine was when I was 7. I dreamed that I had vacationed with my family to a nice lake, and while everyone was playing in the sand and talking, at some point my mother had drowned. And it was just really quickly that they stuffed her in the body bag and I wasn't allowed to see her again or say goodbye. From the body bag all I could see was her one arm, and it was covered in strange marks. And it was just a bustle of being 7 and having everyone brush off what I had noticed, and my crying was also hushed by the adults talking. I watched Law and Order: SVU every single night for years of my childhood and blame that for the dream now, but jesus I go in tears thinking about this dream.

waaaah.

Other bad dream I had (this is a recent one):

Kinda short. But the most terrifying is that there are no images on it. everything was happening like if I was asleep inside the dream Inception. Everything was dark, and suddenly, I feel someone grabs my arm and starts shaking me like crazy, like if he/she/it was trying to wake me up because something happened... Or like if it wanted to drag me somewhere with it.
Worst part was that when I woke up, the arm that was being pulled was numb.

Even your irrational dreams are brilliant horror scenarios.

Most of my nightmares are about nothing in particular, but share the common theme of my vision being like a unity game with bad controls. I always have a hard time looking around for some reason, and the entire finicky first person view is scary enough.

Had a dream the night before the Paris incident that I was in some city, and this huge black building I was seeing off in the distance was demolished. The explosion was so loud that the rest of the dream was just a ringing sound. That was the most eerie dream I've ever had.
