I thought it would be a good idea to make a thread to look at when someone needs references to a certain thing in animation, like fire, backgrounds, combat, explosions, etc. They could also be just a great animation about nothing in particular, we'd put that on miscelaneous.

So... post here any links to any animation that could be useful for someone else!
It'd be better if we post things from series, like anime, movies, or any other.
I mean yeah, there are tons of references from many well known animators but we could just look for them at deviantart or something making this thread pointless heh
And remember to keep those clips short, you may have a great suggestion, but if I have to find the right reference on a 1 hour long video... you know.

But I'll put here some flash animators if they aren't from this community, since the point of this is having a place where to find new references.

I'll try to keep things tidy and organized so it's easier to find them :)

Here are some good references for elements, from The legend of Korra (I'm surprised how good the animation got since the leyend of Aang)

For misc, add Super Mario Bros Z.
I've always wondered what happened to Alvin Earthworm.

I've been keeping this on my playlist since I watched this in the first place.

I like this idea.

This would be better if you would cite what the reference/video contained. Just put it in a bracket and list down what's in it.

EX: VIDEO 1 [Fight scenes, Lightning, Dynamic Angles, etc.]

And stuff?

- The legend of Korra (Great for elements and combat choreography.)

What kind of combat choreo? Does it contain dynamic angles?

- One-punch Man (Effects. Intensity.)

What kind of effects? How intense? What is intensity? Does this not have great choreo's? Subtle animation movements?

I did, lol

True, you did but it's definitely lacking a whole lot of details that most people would brush over(Well, I know I would). Honestly, I want to help you out but please don't delude yourself into giving specific concepts by putting "Effects" or "Choreography".

When I say stuff, I mean stuff.
"no particular thing". But if it's there, it's because there are things you can get from it. various things. I'd like to list all of them. If it's not specified what kind of effects, it's because it's about general effects (or variated effects, too long to make a list of them. It's just easier to watch it, it's 2 min. long, man.), there's a reason why I specified the Elements part and didn't put "effects" instead.
And you know what intensity means lol
if people doesn't know what it is, I think they'll get it if they watch it
