i didn't receive it! but SE sayed me "check your email,reset password scussifly''
but i didn't receive it?!

The SE database doesn't have anyone's passwords.

The passwords have to be somewhere, otherwise the server wouldn't know what to check against when you login. XD
They might be encrypted though, so they might not be able to access the plaintext versions for security. Good luck getting your account back.

Yep. That's why I said it's encrypted, so they won't be able to access them.
Unless they know the actual encryption key. Then they could just simulate an un-encryption like the server has to do to check against the plaintext version.
Either way, they can probably just reset your password for you if you email them.

If they know the encryption key they know each person's actual password - the two are the same. But anyway, yeah, what should happen is password reset either way.
