Vath heard voices echo in the distance, and shot a glance at Carver.

"Well, I guess that answers my question."

He considered going to find out who they were, but it occurred to him that they might not be friends, so he waited.

Chubs immediately went to the scanner room. He arched an eyebrow at the strange things, all shiny and cylinder-shaped, but stayed silent.
My life is getting quite paranormal. At least we can get this time travel deactivated.
He gestured for the others to come over.

Nil looked over the scanners skeptically. "Well... this is certainly not what I expected. This is really weird." Shrugging, he tries going inside of one. "I really, really hope this isn't going to hurt. I ain't missing Kendo to try and save the world, even if I am going insane from this stuff."

From a loud intercom in the ceiling of the scanner room, Sora, Chubs, and Nil could hear Pascale's voice.
"So ummm...I've activated the scanners but we've only got about 4 more minutes left!
Without delay, the three stepped into separate pods.

In the Computer room, on the display, three cards showing everyone's different names showed up. Pascale read them out as she started Virtualize.exe.
"Virtualizing Bob! Virtualizing Nil! Virtualizing Sora!"

Each of the scanners began to hum and glow, blowing hot air upwards through the capsules as the doors closed. In a flash of brilliant light each of them disappeared and the capsules opened being completely empty.

Meanwhile, the elevator finally reached the ground floor, where Vath and Carver were waiting.

Dressed in strange yet familiar garb, Sora, Chubs, and Nil found themselves on a strange video game-esque orange plan filled with small mountains.
It was completely barren except for thick black wires and a strange white and black towerlike tube in the distance. It glowed with a white flaming aura.
Sora can feel a warm strength coming from within.

Nil looks at the landscape, then the others, then himself. "...ok, this is really, really fucking trippy. Guess this is what it means to be virtualized. So, uh, any ideas what we're supposed to do from here?"

Taking a look around himself, Sora flexed his arms out to either side, "Wow... this is the best I've felt in my life... really..." Sora jumped up and down for a moment, taking in the atmosphere of the wondrous place for a few seconds before replying.

"I figure we get over to that tower over there. I think we can trust our tech. savvy friends up above in bringing us to the right place." Sora grinned happily as he felt at home under the bright, unnatural sun resting in the sky above him.

However, as Sora stuck out his hands with his stretched out arms, he suddenly noticed an odd weight in his right hand. Slowly looking over in the direction, he was surprised to see a double-sided glaive resting in his outstretched palm.

"Uh... guys... do yourselves a favor and stretch out your hands real quick... you're going to love this..." Sora stared at the strange weapon lying in his grasp with another huge wave of disbelief. He felt as if he had just been shoved into some sort of fairy tale adventure sequence.

To make matters stranger, he felt very familiar with the strange device. To test his theory, he backed up from the others, beginning to spin the long bladed weapon above his head in a staff demonstrational practice exercise.

After standing there stupidly at the edge of a sewer, Vath stretched and took a step forward, calling out to Carver. "Well, I'm gonna go see and if I can find my way to those voices. You can come if you like."

With that, he turned and headed forward, soon coming across and elevator. He gingerly stepped in and pushed one of the buttons randomly.

Nil looks at the weapon, then brings his own hands out. Out of nowhere, two daggers appear in his hands, with guards over the knuckles to provide protection and additional grip. Nil looks them over. "Huh. This is... well, it already looks like a video game, and we've time-traveled several times today, so this actually surprises me less than you'd imagine. So, let's try getting to that tower and seeing if we can do anything. We only had four minutes after all, right? I really don't feel like another instant replay." Only waiting a moment for the others, he takes off in a run towards the tower-like structure.

Carver rushed for the elevator, eager to know what's at the bottom.

"Hey uh... If any of them ask, I've been with you for a while." he stated towards Vath, not looking at his face.

A flurry of information danced on the screen but none of it was a match for Pascale's eyes. In the calmest manner she had been in all day, she carefully explained to those in the computer world.

"Apparently...this computer world is called...Lyoko. And the README, file says you should be able to kill any broken program by disabling the tower that is running it."
On the digital map, in front of her a tower looking thing blinked red, she guessed this was the activated tower. She clicked it and was shown a 3d image of a tower burning with a white flame.

"Guys, the tower is just a few meters away from you...It should look like its on fire or something. And hurry we've got less that two minutes!" she warned.

Across the computer room, the elevator opened to reveal Vath and another stranger.

Vath noticed Pascale, but what he REALLY noticed was the computer screen.

He would have thought it was a video game....except he saw people he recognized on there...

"WOAH. This is...awesome!"

He rushed up to beside the girl. "Girl you've gotta tell me what this is!"

Noticing Nil sprinting towards the tower, Sora quickly followed, waving to Chubs to go with them as well.

Catching up to the knife wielder as fast as he could, cheating a little bit by launching himself forward off the ground with his staff and enhanced boost from the area, he spoke again, "Alright, so, you got a plan when we get in there? I'm figuring if we have weapons... well... you know what's going to happen in a situation like this... I guess I should just hurry." Sora spun his staff over to both hands instead of just one, readying it for action as he waited for a response from Nil.

Rather than question Pascale about what any of this was, or how he could hear her so clearly, Nil continued forward until he was before the tower. "Ok, so, flaming tower of what the heck right here. Weapons are neat and all, but not important. Now, the million dollar question I'm sure is on all our mind's is, what do we do in these two minutes we've got left?"

Pascale took one glance at Vath and his friend and then looked back at the screen.

"There's no time to explain! Take the elevator to the Scanner room!" she commanded.

"Nil, I'm looking, but just try something! You've got to Disable it some how. Try hitting it or something!"

"Hitting the flaming virtual tower. Ok, let's give it a shot then." Nil takes a step back, getting into a somewhat modified kendo stance, and throws a slice at the tower with his right knife, trying to gauge both the strength of his new weapon as well as if it would actually have any sort of effect. The situation was starting to get kind of worrying; he wasn't going to exactly stick to caution.
