Once Seven was a large distance away from the group and the monster, he stopped and turned. He focused and tried to make out what was happening. It wasn't good. Klein and Gaius ran towards Seven. The guy who was attacked was lagging slightly behind. However, Zach and the Black Widow were still way too close to the monster, and the man who called himself 'Lead' seemed injured and unable to escape well enough. It wasn't good at all. He tried his best to formulate what to do, but everybody was so caught up in their own ideas, that he had no clue what they were going to do next. If he misjudged anything, he was a goner. He bent down onto one knee and thought, the rumbling of the monster easily heard in the silence of the Dream World.

OOC: I'd have completed this post, but I'd like people to come to the IRC first so we can talk this out.

"I'm trying..." He cradled his head with one hand.

Throd mnahn' orr'e! A voice gurgled in his head.

"They're so loud..." He whimpered. Get out of my head!

Fhtagn grah'n fhtagn. A silky voice cooed.

"Leave me alone!" He begged. "I can't sleep, don't let me sleep." The rifle shots echoed in his subconscious and the voices in his head hissed at the interruption. It gave him an idea and he placed his hand on the rifle. "Ya gr't t th par'r tu smyt uaah." Electricity crackled through his hand and inscribed itself onto Chell's Enfield. The incantations already inscribed on glowed brighter, signalling an enhancement in the power to damage Eldritch Beings and another rune laced itself within. The rifle was blessed with the power of electricity now, the element charged the entire weapon, turning it into a rail gun. However it was only one shot and took a toll on Zach's body and would also take one on Chell's body.

He let go of her hand, knowing she would need both to aim and steady the gun. "One shot..." He murmured, seemed like the power drained the voices as much as it drained him so they were quiet... for now. "Don't miss." He whispered. He turned to see the monster and saw that it had once again gone invisible so he would also have to aim for her. He turned on his heel and covered his right eye as he tried to focus with his left. He was aiming for the base of which tentacle meets the sack-like body, as any attacks to the body would be regenerated, so if he could hit the tentacle where it counted the most, he could perhaps delimb the beast. "Aim to the left of the path it is traveling. Aim at the ground from there then slightly up and adjust to the right a bit. You'll have your opportunity to shoot... now!"

Chell was focused onto shooting as Zach was chanting his rituals and what not. Her clip was almost empty when he grabbed her rifle, tilting her aim.

"What the fuck are you doing?!" She snapped at him. But the anger on her face immediately disappeared when she noticed what he was actually doing. Chell remembered reading about those people that weild the power of runes, but she never imagined she would see one.

As soon as his chant finished, a ripple went through Chell. Whatever he had done, it was charging her with energy, almost as the rune wasn't only affecting her gun, but her also. As he murmured instructions to her, electricity literally started forming around her body, almost like that power was flowing through her veins.

Chell nodded at Zach's every statement, carefully tracing with her sparky iron sight the area where the monster should have been. When the man gave the command, she fired without hesitation.

The feeling was tortuous. As the gun charged up, it drained the energy that Chell had accumulated. The pain that she felt was severe, but not unbearable. She remained composed as the gun completely charged. A beam of light exited the barrel of her Enfield, having the bullet at its tip. It felt like she had unleashed an entire lighting storm. The recoil pushed Chell back, her boots plowing through the ground. Every single muscle of hers was hurting, shocked by the transfer of energy that the shot made.

But it was headed straight on her target. She was sure of it.

Straz ran along with Chell, avoiding the tentacled creature. But then as she stopped beside the man who can't speak, he wondered. "Hey, we're supposed to be running right?--" But as he said the last word, her rifle suddenly sparked in light as she fired something, which seemed to be a electricity beam.

"W-What the hell..?" His mind instantly shifted away from the beam of light, Straz felt as if there might be another one in the area. Not sure of what he felt, he raised up his Einfield and scoped the field, making sure if his feelings were right.

(OOC: ULTA busy weekend...had to pull extra shifts cuz one of the other guys had an accident. So...yeah. DOKTOR DEATH LIVES!!! Also, I will just act as if he has been healed by the pyromaniac, merely because I don't want to be stuck as cripple the whole rp...)

It took Tavrin a bit of time to recover from his sudden and flaming healing, but he was glad to be back on his feet. Then again, whatever the creature was that was causing havoc among his comrades was not exactly a great welcoming party. Not too eager to be injured again, he decided to play it more cool this time, and let his brain work.

As he watched their attacks repeatedly fail, a slow grin spread across his face. Kegin had given him directions on how to get to the mine warehouse...and that was all he needed. He raised his voice and called out.

"This obviously isn't working! I say we need more power...anyone who agrees is welcome to come with me!"

"Where the heck are you going...stupid meatball," mocked Zoe as she picked up a rock and flung it, like she saw Seven did, at her "comrades", aiming to intercept the beast. While she didn't have any of that fancy fairy dust that Seven did, Zoe figured it was good enough. In other hand, she gripped her knife tightly and began rushed along the monster's trail.

The beast rolled forward, ignoring the few who split off from the main group. It headed straight for Chell, the invisible force crushing the stones underneath its weight. Chell then fired her enhanced lightning attack and the monster became completely visible. The blast hit it in the center of the ball of flesh that was its torso. The monster exploded in a shower of fried meat. A few tentacle wriggled before laying still. The smell of charcoal left the area.

Zoe, standing behind the monster was blasted backwards with enough force to slam her into a building.

kKegin looked at the beast and the chaos it cause upon the others. He stepped towards the creature wanting to make sure it was finished it off. The corpes of the beast lay's unmoving for now. He assumes the party had finished it off.

As the bright projectile flew through the air, Chell's eyes grew in anticipation. Even if the monster's horrific appearance was revealed yet again, the blinding bullet had her complete attention. A moment later, a splatterhouse explosion unfolded right in front of her eyes. As parts of the monster flew in the air, an insane smile grew on the woman's face.

"Got 'em." she said half breathed as the flesh was raining.

Her knees shook, weak from the stress that the shot took on her body. Her stoic form broke, leading to her dropping on her knees with the rifle planted in the ground. Her breath was heavy and she was sweating. Her polished and clean look was now a memory. That power was something that had not to be taken lightly.

Frost stood up, unfazed as a piece of well-cooked monster sirloin flopped on his hair.
"That was close. What's the next step? Anyone going to do anything?"
He began flipping the torch around absentmindedly as some of the party tended to Chell, while the others seemed uncertain what to do.

Seven breathed a sigh of relief. Good thing he wasn't there to get shattered in monster flesh and blood. He got up, dusted himself off, and jumped off the roof he was perched upon. Somewhat embarrassed by his cowardice, he went next to Zach and Chell. Directing his words towards Chell, he said, 'Gotta hand it to you, that was a pretty nice shot. You doing okay?' He was generally concerned for her, as it was her, and seemingly, Zach, that saved their asses from the beast. 'Hey, Zach, buddy, nice going there. Pretty stoic of you to stand right in front of that thing.' Seven scratched his cheek, chuckling, considering that he shied away from the situation. 'Let's just hope we get time to gather our thoughts this time, before something tries to rip us to shreds or eat us.'

Chell sat in a pool of blood, red viscous substances dripping off her, catching her breath. As Seven neared her, she addressed him with that psychotic grin on her face, an expression filled with euphoria. If it wasn't for what had just happened she would have remembered how much she despised the man. But as she realized what was happening that crazed expression faded into a smirk.

"I'm one of the best guns around here. You're undermining my skills, sir." she replied between heavy breaths. She took a deep and long one before continuing.
"As for us...I'm sure we had better days." she said looking towards Zach. She sincerely smiled at him: that beast was dead mostly because of his efforts. She turned back towards Seven, the smirk had now been wiped off her face and replaced with a more interrogative expression.

"Anything to report from your 'crow's nest'?" she asked, hinting at the fact that Seven took the high ground.

'Well, hey, I don't have a lot of options. I'm not the one with a laser rifle in my hands.' Seven didn't blame her for, well, blaming him. 'And no, I didn't notice anything else approaching us. Then again, I can't see things that are...invisible.'

Vitaliy blinked in blank astonishment, fingers just barely pressing against the triggers of both revolvers. The thing that had resisted all the damage from before... had just been shot once with...

What the h#ll?!

Stepping back while also slowly weakening his grip on both triggers, Vitaliy was limited to only staring in awe for a moment at the sight of the monster's insides scattered across the torn-up area.

"Holy shiet..."

Snapping out of his stupor after a brief pause, Vitaliy grabbed his makeshift walking stick and carefully made his way out of the trees back to the main clump of the group.

Upon hearing the topic of the conversation, the gunslinger inched open his mouth to throw out a snide remark... only to be interrupted by another jolt of pain from his leg. Grimacing in frustration, he leaned more on his "walking stick" as he stayed quiet for a time.
