"They are?" Bartholomew's hands reached up to cover them and reared back slightly as to not let Matthew touch them. "Oh no... don't worry it's okay I can do it." The boy began tussling with a knot on the back, tightening the bandages. "Ouch!" He yelped as he tightened them a bit too tightly. Bartholomew tugged on them slightly to loosen it but not enough to reveal what was behind and then retightened it as he loosened it too much again. "I can do this, I can do this..." He muttered the mantra to himself as he found the perfect middle ground.
"There!" The small boy stated proudly then grabbed his stick again. "Now to slay the beast!" Bartholomew jumped onto the serpent's neck, plunging the sword deep into its watery scales with one hand as the other grappled on to steady himself. His legs also hooked on the best they could.

"Suit yourself," he told Celestial. "It may come in handy some time. Like when we don't have painkillers."
Nocturn acknowledged Dino's approach as he gobbled down another liver. His spinal gears turned and his gears clicked. Something tells me that the tank is full, he thought to himself. He was at least relieved to know the virus would be quiet for some time.
"Not much," the zombie noted as he finished.

Matthew cringed at Bartholomew's efforts to fix his own problem, but it all turned out okay. Once the boy was finished, Matthew gave him a reassuring pat on his shoulder.
"Good job! Now they'll never fall off in a million years!" he told him.
Bartholomew then plunged his sword into the serpent's scales, holding onto its spinal spikes with one hand to keep himself steady. The serpent trembled and dipped its head slightly.
"Uh oh..." Matthew said, holding tight to the serpent's spikes. "Did you press the secret flying button?"
Massive watery wings burst from the serpent's sides, sending prismatic spray everywhere.
"Hold on!" the cyborg cried, and some watery tentacles slid over his and Bartholomew's legs, just to stop them from slipping off. Two more tentacles emerged from beside the first ones, and Matthew guided the boy's hands to grab them.
The serpent whistled, spreading its wings wide.
It waited though, and Matthew leaned close to Bartholomew.
"I'll only go if you want to...okay?" he said. "Just in case you're scared of heights or something."

"Ooh flying!" The boy chorused. But something drained his enthusiasm. He stared at the serpent's leathery wings mimicries then shook his head. "No... I don't want to..." It was as if a past memory had resurfaced as his face paled and he began yelling loudly. "Loch? Loch? Loch!" Panic started dulling Bartholomew's eye and he stared at Matt, "Where are you taking me? I want Loch, I want big brother. I don't want to go!" He began struggling with the footholds, "Loch save me! I don't like this! I don't want this!"
Suddenly two hands cut through the wings and grabbed Bartholomew, pulling him out. "There there... I'm here, I'm here." Loch repeated as he stroked the boy's hair, his other arm wrapped tightly around his little brother.
"Don't let them take me back." Bartholomew whimpered, clutching fervently onto Loch. "I don't want to, I want to stay with you. Don't let them take me."
"Don't worry, I won't let anyone take you away from me alright? I'll keep you safe okay?" He wiped the boy's tears and looked at how the other bandages began to sag. Loch sighed and got up, holding Bartholomew close in his arms. "I'm going to take Bartholomew to the bathroom, please eat your fill, we must depart soon." Loch walked off with his brother.

Watching Matt and Bartholomew playing together kind of warmed Lilith's heart...or maybe it was the alcohol...Doesn't really matter. They were both into it, had fun, and that's what counts. She finally reached for a plate with a steak and veggies on it, and placed it on her lap. She began to eat it, slowly, with her own pair of utensils, that looked like they were from the same set as bone cups. Finding it entertaining, she kept watching 'kids' play. That was until something happened. She wasn't sure what, just saw that Loch had to intervene, and take Bartholomew away. When they were passing next to her, Lilith could hear the kid cry and mumble nonsense into his brother chest. She decided to give herself a one last chance.
When Loch told them the plan, she just nodded, still focused on her meal. If not for the fact that she had her mouth full, she'd probably say something. When they passed her however, something popped up from under the table. A tiny eyeball on four segmented legs ran after the duo, hiding behind any cover the surroundings could provide. Meanwhile Lilith, with her head hung over the plate, had her right eye closed, the fact hidden by her hair bangs covering it.

Nocturn casted a side glance at Loch and Batholomew. Probably the bandages if they needed to be so private about it, he thought. He didn't bother asking, these things were stuff that he did to hide his arms turning into metal. He bandaged them, hid them away to keep people from noticing. That was until he had the hunger and it was all over.
He looked back at the empty bag of livers long and hard. Then at the liquor.
I seriously wish the virus had a taste for alcohol instead of damn flesh, he thought to himself loudly. "I'm done," he answered.

What the eyeball could see and hear, Lilith could experience as well. She didn't gave a sign of it, still just casually eating, sitting on the table. But then, she suddenly flinched, unintentionally opening her right eye, effecting in harsh light blinding it and a sensation of pain. Obviously that was when the moment when the knife was thrown. She jumped off the table, covering the right part of her face with her hand, cursing loudly. The plate she had on her lap fell to the ground and broke into pieces, fortunately almost no food left on it. "...Crap...dammit...gah..." Putting the hand away from her face she looked at it, her right eye still squinting. "...Shouldn't have done that..." She mumbled to herself. "Don't worry about it! Everything's fine...Something just... flew into my eye...pesky bugs..." The woman announced. She wanted to share the information with the others, but noticed Loch and Bartholomew already coming back. It had to wait, and later it wouldn't even matter, they'll be on their way. Lilith crouched down, to pick up the ceramic pieces from the ground, avoiding eye contact with Loch when they were passing by. "I don't really need new clothes...I like these and they're still in pretty good shape, but we might go anyway, maybe we'll find some trinkets worth buying." She said, straightening back up, placing the shards in a neat pile on the table.
Walter, witnessing the whole act, just shook his head slowly, reconsidering his life choices.

Celestial watched as Loch took the boy away, and his mind began to wonder what was underneath the bandages. Maybe he got burned? he thought. He felt bad for him, having to hide his face all the time. That was no way to live.
He didn't really want anymore food and he certainly didn't want anymore to drink. So, he stood there, a little uncomfortable. Suddenly when Lilith sprung up from the table, he cautiously took a step forward. However when she assured everyone that she was alright, he retreated back to his position. He was still a little concerned since her reaction was big. He knew a few healing spells so if she needed any, he'd help her out.

Matthew watched as Loch took Bartholomew away, feeling terrible but not really knowing how to apologize. The boy had been terrified, and Matthew couldn't help but feel that it was somehow his fault.
"I'm...sorry..." he whispered, tossing the apology after the retreating pair.
He stood there for a moment; his sea serpent and boat vaporizing at a halfhearted flick of his hand. Silent, he went over to the table and spotted his cup still sitting there.
"Is this for me?" he asked, and then, without waiting for a reply, he said, "Thank you" and picked it up. Matthew downed the drink in one shot, a hurt look on his face. Head down, he retreated a good distance from the group, coughing only a little until the taste of the drink was gone. He seated himself in the shadow of a nearby tree, mind whirring.
Don't let them take me...was what Bartholomew had said. Take him where? Matthew thought hard through the boy's reactions. What had triggered the fear? Suddenly, a thought slammed into his mind. Dragons. His sea serpent had looked like a dragon. At the thought, Matthew's hands balled into fists. That must have been why Bartholomew was scared.
While travelling the universe with This Clone and That Clone, he'd come across a world that had been recovering from a dragon attack. At the mere mention of the word 'dragon', people would scream and run. The looks on their faces seemed very similar to Bartholomew's. Maybe the bandages hid some sort of burn.
Matthew shook his head, trying to forget Bartholomew's expression, but it stuck. Sorry didn't feel like enough. He curled up, hugging his knees to his chest. A tear rolled out of one of his eyes. Although he didn't seem to have a nose, he sniffed anyways, pressing his face into his legs. Despite the nearby presence of his companions, he cried quietly to himself, feeling lost and abandoned. His past rose swiftly, overcoming him with crushing force.
An outcast...loved by none, protected by none, shunned by all.

Dino carelessly ate from the steak that Loch had prepared for him, his mind zoned out and trapped within its very own thoughts. So it's either Carter or Loch...but why? You must have a motive to do something like this? This kid is a bit too nice to us, but Abra could be forcing him to act in such way. Carter seemed just like a normal painter. "Seemed". I need to look into it.
As the group began gathering up to depart, Dino quickly finished his steak and slowly stood up, pulling out and lighting up a cigarette in the meantime. As he picked up his cross, he rose his hand in order to draw everybody's attention.
"I need to pass by the fashion district. Which way?" he blankly asked.

"Right this way." Loch indicated to another branch. He led them to another shopping district, and they could tell they walked into a whole new world as they pushed past curtains of bright cloth. It was a world of chaos and beauty. People and aliens walked about, swathed in a plethora of clothing, different styles mixed with different designs, creating love children that were either works of art or atrocities. Accessories were also being shown off, people wore chain over chain on their necks, bracelets jingled and glittered on their wrists. People had various hats piled on top of their heads. A being walked past them, its head tall and blockish-like a skyscraper, ten rows of eyes decorated it like windows, each pair sporting a different type of glasses. Loch smiled, "This place never gets old."

Nocturn sighed. He didn't need new clothes. The clothes he had on right now were perfectly fine. The world didn't need to find him decent, he needed the world to loathe what he is so that they wouldn't let another of his kind come to existence. Right now, he doubted he needed to be inconspicuous, others looked a lot more outrageous than he was. Then again...
...they were traveling through dimensions. The thought was still difficult to wrap his head around but he had to accept it. Different people might not take kindly to a zombie. He scoffed and shook his head. He had to get decent clothing. Something with a hood, cloak perhaps, he nodded to himself. He still clung to Matthew who took kindly to his request of a guide.
"Lad, after your shopping," he said. "Mind if you take me to the nearest cloak seller?"

"Not at all...Mr. Nocturn." Matthew replied. He deployed his water snakes again to keep track of their group members, and then generated a water hummingbird to fly ahead. Its task? Find a cloak vendor.
As Matthew followed the bird, he wondered about getting a cloak himself, preferably one with a mysterious hood. He stroked his ACST. I'll be a Jedi! he thought.

Celestial looked at all the shops, not really sure what to buy. He liked his hoodie, it was comfy and familiar. And familiar was something he needed in this strange world of Abra's. But he guessed he was down for some new clothes. Afterall, when he'd been taken, he just got home from work, before Azule and his men attacked, so he probably smelled like burgers and fries. Alright maybe new clothes were in order.
He overheard Zombie Man and Matt talking about cloaks and he thought about it. But then he decided against it, since he'd look like a stereotypical wizard with his spell book. Not every magic user looked like Gandalf or Dumbledore. He internally sighed, then decided to get a new shirt or something.
