Lilith's gaze kept moving from the castle to gaunt guards back and forth, her expression unchanged. "If not for the sun and much different vegetation I'd probably mistake this place to be somewhere in my homeland..." she muttered, both architecture and barely alive servants reminding her of how things looked like back there.

The woman listened to what the senior guard had to say, and smiled jauntily. "That'd mean trouble, wouldn't it...Hey, that only means we're where we should be..." It already became somewhat clear for her, how rounds of Abra's game were set up; find some trouble, fix the problem if there's one, and stay alive to move on...At least that's how it seemed to work so far.

"Where you should be?" Rohan echoed then shook his head. "You don't understand, King Arron is not in the right of mind. He is nothing like his father-" The captain's explanation was cut off by a voice bellowing from within the fortress.

"Opening the gates!" The two guards stood straight and at attention as the large metal gates swung open to reveal one man. He was dressed in fine robes that were maroon with a tint of crimson and the two guards saluted as he drew near.

"If it isn't Lord Arron's chief adviser. What brings you out here sir Logan?" Rohan inquired, a tone in his voice suggested he didn't actually care.

"That's none of your business Captain Rohan." The man spat and Rohan's face hardened. "By the way, it is high treason for speaking ill of the king, punishable by death." A large smile came across Logan's face.

Rohan glared at the snake-like man but the harsh light quickly faded as he shrugged. "I don't know what you're talking about. I have nothing but loyalty towards the crown. I thought you were supposed to be our shift change, it has been five days."

"Well as you are the Captain of the Guard, I would think you would be willing to volunteer for another five days Rohan." Logan sneered.

The old man barked with laughter. "Five more days? That's a cake walk, I'd be more than willing, however what about the boy?" Rohan tilted his head towards Luke. "The boy doesn't have the same vitality as his superior, he needs some rest."

Logan hissed at the man's cockiness. "I will have you standing guard at the gate until you die Captain."

Rohan marched up to the adviser, puffing out his chest as he drew upon his experience and rank. His voice sounded like a bass drum. "I only take orders from the king. Not from snakes like you. I'd be willing to go to the king and see who's counsel he takes more seriously, his adviser or the adviser of his father."

The advisor glared at him but kept his mouth shut then turned towards the party. "King Arron has been expecting you, please." He bowed and ushered the party in. Rohan looked at them and shook his head slightly.

Dino shrugged at the captain's warning and simply walked on ahead. Being one of Abra's world's, the scheme was the same. And as Lilith mentioned, if there was trouble, then they were in the right place.

"Lead on." he simply ordered to the adviser.

Nocturn stared at the guards. Royalty. Back in my world, they were the cause of all the suffering my town had come across. Corrupted bastards on high seats. The zombie shrugged, dismissing his own ideas. But i cannot deny what few good ones did in their time alive. I will give this place some benefit of the doubt.

King Arron has claws? Interesting. Matthew thought. At the mention of his magic being trouble, he shrugged. "I'm not afraid." was his response.

He then followed the rest of the group. This time though, his distant gaze had hardened to ice. Whoever messed with his friends was going to get it.

Timothy had never liked the law. He remembered back when he was little, shootings near his backyard, corruption, bloodstains wherever he went.

But this was a new world. A new start. He'll have to see if it is the same.

He nervously followed the others, slightly twitching, ready to run if there was a trap.

As the group walked through and the gates began to close, Rohan gave a small prayer for their safety, as did Luke. The group looked at the walled town and bittersweet memories of the Interdimensional city bubbled up, memories of Loch, Carter, and Bartholomew that effected the group in differing levels. Logan took point and Dino the rear as they began making their way up the main street to the castle that sat at the top. Citizens milled around doing everyday things, some pushed carts while others guided oxen who were pulling carts for them. Voices mixed as the raucous shouts of shopowners clashed with the haggling bicker of the customers.

Dino stayed in the back so that he could keep an eye on everything, then he heard a voice whisper in his ear. "Nice to see you again." He whipped his head around and saw the flicker of a blue flame disappear through an alleyway.

Meanwhile those in front with Logan can listened to the adviser prattle on about how King Arron's family came into power and how the man controlled his kingdom with a heavy but just fist. They would notice that most of the denizens avoided eye contact with them, and most didn't even dare look in their direction. The adviser seemed to require a very large berth as he stroded in the middle of the street and there was room to fit a cart on either side of him.

The rest would also notice the crowd's discomfort and if they were watching, would see the flickering of shadows leaping from rooftop to rooftop. To quick to see who or what it was, but too frequent for it to be just a coincidence.

Lilith strolled along with hands in her pockets, kind of on the side of the group. She didn't care much for adviser's story, but listened with one ear in case he was to say something actually useful. Rest of her attention was focused on observing local city life, people going around their business. The woman winced a little seeing simple folk's attitude towards them...perhaps advisor's company being the reason. Social status gap obviously visible here. She wasn't a big fan of such divisions, and even back home never really took an advantage of possessing a highborn status...Nor was she the one to follow the proper social etiquette at the first place now to think about it. For her all people were just...people.

"Enjoying the view...?" Walter groaned at her, suddenly materializing by her side with his full 'disguise' of mask, gloves and a scarf. He seemed to be irritated.

"Hm? What are you getting at this time I'm just..." The skeleton raised his finger successfully silencing her before she could finish, then pointed up. Following the gesture, Lilith looked towards the rooftops noticing what he meant soon after. "...Well...These are low buildings it can be literally anyone...From some thieves to kids playing..." The woman shrugged and lowered her gaze, but even through Walter's mask she could read his expression clearly. "...Fine...'I'm very alarmed, could you please check that out for me'..." She sighed, before requesting with an overly sarcastic tone. Walter just stared at her for a moment, probably once more regretting some decisions taken back when he was alive, before returning to his incorporeal form and heading towards the said rooftops.

Unless confirmed a threat, there was really no need to alarm the others. They probably noticed by themselves already but oppose to her fiance, paid no heed... Lilith came back to her previous activity, blaming Walter's paranoia.

Matthew kept walking, silent. He noticed the crowd's reactions, and was aware of the presence of the shadows as well. If they were pros, they were bad at moving around without being seen. Rolling his eyes, Matthew busied himself with other thoughts. As long as the shadows kept their distance...they had nothing to worry about.

Dino kept pace of the group, overlooking. When the voice whispered in his ear, he was surprised at first, but that feeling disappeared soon after. It wasn't a coincidence. He simply decided to acknowledge the presence of the orb and keep moving. As they walked the streets it took Dino mere moments to understand that they were followed from the rooftops by shadowy figures. Dino kept himself to frowning for a second.

"Tyrannical government? Check. Populus discontent? Check. Awful living conditions? Check. This place reminds me of Dublin." he murmurred to himself, letting a smile creep on his face as he mentioned his home.

As Walter floated up, he could just see plain-clothed denizens jumping across the rooftops. It was a pair of men and after a quick whispered conversation and a nod, one sprinted ahead while the other one stayed back to keep track of the group's movement. They didn't seem to mean any harm so Walter went back to Lilith. Soon the group reached the castle and the gates were already open for them to enter. Once they walked in, a circle of guards approached them and one handed Logan a scroll. The adviser scanned it quickly then snapped his fingers. "Search them, send the servants away and bring those two with me." He pointed at Lilith and Dino.

Guards marched up and patted down Nocturn, Matthew, Celestial, and Timothy. Timothy was stripped his guitar and Nocturn his metallic rods. Matthew's light saber was also taken and then each were flanked by guards who began escorting them away. As they approached a doorway, a magician walked up and did a quick scan and was astounded to find that each of them had a magical signature. The guards pulled shackles out of their belts and clapped them over the four prisoners' limbs. They weren't connected by chains but as soon as they were locked on, runes glowed and Celestial and Matthew could feel the effects most potently. They could no longer feel the mana around them and the mana in them was being forcefully bottled up. With the locks on, the guards continued to escort the four into lengthy hallway.

Dino and Lilith were soon alone with Logan and an escort of guards, having lost vision of the rest of the group. Logan hummed as he continued walking and the guards surrounded the two and began escorting them along. "Sorry about that, but King Arron doesn't want to waste his time with simple servants, he's more interested in the two of you. You understand yes?" The two were led into a massive throne room, a plum red carpet cut through the middle, where after some empty space that sported racks of weapons and armor, were marble pillars that held the roof up. Up a short flight of stairs was a large throne and lounging in it was a man in steel armor and a red cape. The guards stopped but Logan continued up the stairs, where he bowed to the king and then took his place behind and to the side of the throne. The guards dispersed to stand by the door and the pillars and the king simply looked at Dino and Lilith, reached out and simply flicked his fingers, indicating them to come closer.

The four was led down a flight of stairs then pushed through a heavy metal door that was locked behind them. The dark bricked walls were wet and the floor was muddy. Dim torches lit the tunnel and they could see that it splits off in the distance.

Celestial walked in with the rest of the group, thankful he hadn't summoned his spell book since they were searched. However, he grew very confused when the cuffs were placed on his wrists. Whatever, I can get us out of these as soon--oh god. Celestial saaw the glowing ruins and panic set in. He could feel any magical engery. He almost passed out from it suddenly not being avaliable to him. Once his head cleared, he began walking with the others.

They were led down into what was literally a dungeon. "Oh you've gotta be kidding me," he muttered. It was dank, dim, and damp, and those were not things that began with d that he wanted to be around. He put his hands on his hips and sighed. "Okay, so I say we go down the middle, 'cause why the fuck not? Those who care to join me can follow." Celestial began making his way down the hall.

As Celestial walked down and reached the intersection. From the path to the right he could hear a small girl's voice, "I'm scared, where's mommy and daddy?" It was a pitiful wail that seem to echo eerily through the tunnels. The path ahead and to Celestial's left was quiet.

Celestial looked towards the direction of the little girl's voice. In all honesty, it freaked him out a little, but she sounded scared. His big brother instincts were kicking in and decided to head down the right path, quickening his pace.

As he ran down, his footsteps splashing in puddles and mud speckled his clothing, he heard more voices. Old people, young adults, and children. They sobbed and whispered, "We need to patch up that wound." Celestial took a left. "I'm scared, it's cold." He ran straight. "We didn't do anything wrong." He took a right. "Someone save us please." He took a left. "I want my mommy and daddy." He took a right. "Shush love it'll be over soon." He took another right. "We need to be quiet." The statement made him stop in his tracks. He stared at a brick wall as the path cuts to the left. "It can smell us." "It's coming!" Soon the voices went quiet and all Celestial could hear was the blood rush through his head and his ragged breath as he panted for oxygen. Suddenly he heard a splash ahead of him and then black claws wrapped around the corner and a monster leaned out, turning its head to face Celestial. The beast was an onyx black and looked humanoid, except it had on dusk grey armor that covered most of its head. It had a large yellow eye set in its head that swiveled back and forth, the pupil was reptilian. It opened its massive mouth to reveal a set of sharp fangs, they glistened with saliva in the dim lights and deeper in he could see a set of teeth like that of a full grown man and it whispered in the voice of an old man. "It can understand us..." Before the monster roared.
