Connor is a teenager who pretty much lived a normal life with his parents and his siblings. Eluition’s parents died when he turned 16. No they were not killed, they died normally and peacefully. Connor’s mother was a Marksman who specialized in all sorts of ranged weaponry. His older siblings had taken up Marksmanship(?) as an occupation, training in the way of the Ranger.
Connor decided to pick up from where his father left off since none of his siblings seemed to take interest to Swordsmanship like his father. So Connor trained in the way of the sword while improving his Martial Arts skills.

Connor had three older siblings in total;
Kane, his immediate older brother who went by 'Mirage' was learned with the bow and Arrow. Yes, a bow and arrow but despite how arcane the weapon was he somehow managed to master it.

Then there was Ace, The second oldest in the family who had also taken the path of the ranger. His choice of weapons were Daggers, Shuriken, Darts and other thrown weapons. Despite his choice of weapons, Ace was skilled enough to create his own version of the 'Bullet curve' which he dubbed the 'Item Curve.' It was just a trick that made any thrown item follow a curve instead of the usual boring straight path, Nevertheless, it blew Connor's Mind anytime he saw it.

Kira the oldest, had taken the path of a marksman like their mother and is adept with guns, enough to master the 'Bullet Curve' skill although it wasn't as awesome as Ace's version. She would often belittle her siblings, especially Connor, and in all honesty, Connor liked her the least and would always pretend to be amazed when she pulls some 'gun trick.' But in truth, Connor was just jealous.

Connor never really wanted to be a swordsman, when he was little and he would always jump from tree to tree, chair to chair, table to table, with his hands shaped in an L pattern making what, to him, sounded like a gun bang. The only reason, Connor picked up swordsmanship was because none of his siblings took interest in it and although he did not speak with his father much due to his continuous training and... wirting? he also did not want his father to be the last swordsman from their family. Although Connor didn't think the sword was better than a Dual Springfield XD handgun, his father, when he was free to talk, told him Rangers were a pain to defeat if you wield the sword but somehow he managed to beat their mother. Connor didn't believe this at first but then his mother confirmed the story although she said it was 'sheer luck.'

A loss is a loss bruh.

Connor painted the story like a graffiti in his head, and would always remember it when he was having doubts about being a swordsman. He obtained his father's three in one sword while his sibling's had to buy their respective weapon of choice. Connor would often spar with the oldest sibling Kira, the gun would be packed with rubber bullets and Connor would always lose. Always. One day, after their little spar and Kira's usual 'I'm better than you' nonsense, Ace informed Connor about the book father would always write on saying it could be of help.

The young swordsman decided to check the book out; The SwOrdZmAn'S HAnDbooK by AleXAnDer BRooKMyRe. Although the title was sloppily written, the contents were not. He guess his father just made the title to get a laugh out of it. After reading the first page which was the usual introduction and Author's note, Connor decided to take the book with him on his journey.

Kane who had dubbed himself 'Mirage,' Insisted Connor had an Alias. As the youngest, the first thing that came to mind was: 'Illusion' which was related to Kane's Alias. When he was asked why? He just said he would improve his speed during training so, according to him, He'd be so fast his attacks would seem like an Illusion to the normal eye. Connor's siblings didn't seem to get the joke, Connor just shrugged it off saying it was a 'spur of the moment.' After a few minutes of editing the Alias; Illusion, they arrived at the Alias; Eluition(Eh-lee-Shun) which was just the word 'Illusion' but with, according to them; Finesse. Since the name was forged, it didn't really have a meaning but Connor would also forge a meaning for the name... someday.

Now, armed with his father's sword and book, Eluition set out on his journey and began his training aiming to be the greatest human swordsman ever(:P). The words written on the last lines of the first page of the book were as follows;

"I'd just like to thank the person who decided to read this crappy book, and I hope it helps you become a better swordsman. But then again if you're reading this book, you're probably Connor Brookmyre. With that said, proceed to the next page."

A handbook written by his father, it contains the basic rules a swordsman needs and sometimes useful skills although, some of them were tagged 'Forbidden.' Eluition being the only swordsman in the family, didn't have to share this book with anyone so he decided to take it with him.

Just a phone for quick calls, gaming and anything to relieve him of his boredom. He also has the ambulance on speed dial just in case someone got hurt in a battle.

Swordmanship : He is very skilled with the sword although he prefers his fists. He only uses his sword when it seems fair.

Martial Artist : Eluition is a very skilled fighter and is skilled with the ancient art of Hand to Hand Combat.

Determination : This fellow is very determined and would always get up even when he is tired. He would continue to fight until he is knocked out or killed.

Sharp Reflexes : His reflexes could make you bleed. Eluition could keep up with those who are faster than himself in a fight. Thus being able to block/dodge/counter most moves that would leave a normal person dumbfounded.

Adrenaline(Special): No matter how sharp your reflex may be, if you can't see it. You probably can't dodge it and this ability enables him do so. Eluition is able to see clearer and faster than usual. Thus making quick attacks easier to detect and dodge/block/counter. It also boosts his reflexes, reaction time, pain tolerance and speed slightly, in order to evade more. This ability is triggered when Eluition finds himself in a life threatening situation or against someone faster than himself.

Rangers : He is weak against ranged combat and finds it very hard to keep up.

Humanity : He is not really a super strong mutant alien stuff. He can die like all humans and any lethal hit would kill him. He could also get tired if the fight ever dragged on, although he would keep fighting until he gives out.

Speedsters : Although he might be able to keep up with this category of individuals, they tend to tire him out faster than usual.

Adrenaline: The longer he stays this way, the more strain added to his body when he is snapped out of this state.

Feeble Body: No matter how tough he may sound or look, Eluition can not take a hit. this is why he focuses on speed and evasion.

Eluition is learned enough to deal with any kind of sword but prefers his default three in one sword, each serving as a holster for the next.
The first sword is very, very blunt, it wouldn't even be considered a sword but despite that, it is very durable and is able to withstand great damage without breaking or falling apart. This is Elu's favorite of the three, he uses it often to deal blunt damage. The blade also serves as a holster for the remaining two.

Eluition rarely uses the second one, it's quite sharp and durable... The blade serves as a holster for the last sword.

Eluition never uses this sword unless he is really pissed or angry or has a very good reason for it. It was his father's sword and now it's his. This sword is very, very sharp and can cut through most things but it could get broken easily with each contact. It's so feeble, the two other blades serve as holsters to protect it. This is the real sword, Not a blade, not a holster but the real sword, Whiiiiich Eluition rarely uses.


A Pen: 'The pen is mightier than the sword!' Eluition clearly misunderstood this saying. Now he adds a pen to his collection of weapons. The pen has no special features, just an ordinary pen. Although, Eluition can use the penlight to blind or distract his opponent or could throw it and sometimes he could use it for a quick stab or two.

Major Goal: Becoming the greatest swordsman.

Other Goals: I. Mastering Martial Arts.
II. Defeating a Ranger.
