WHile I was working on something because I got bored, I lost the ability to open the file.
The last time I edited the file was yesterday.

I tried downloading it after it was uploaded to my sta.sh, but alas, the same thing happened.

the .swf file still works though.

Please help.

Edit: it was fixed. however there is a new problem.

The second post in the thread contains information on my new problem.

Open flash and then select your file from the 'recently worked on' section. Sometimes that happens to me too. Oh and what's the error you're getting?

When I did that it kept on saying "could not find file in: user:etc, etc"

I tried deleting it and redownloading but so now it works.

but their is a symbol in the canvas that looks different on playback. why is this?

Not sure, does that symbol have frames in it?

Unpacking the swf is probably the easiest way to go about this.

I think I used to use Sothink SFW to FLA decompiler. It's been a long time since I had to do it. You can probably search YouTube for better or more up-to-date methods.
