I know that the branding (probably upper-right), and the intro are necessary appurtenances but how about the main menu? Is it still required if I'm submitting a video? (A quick scene in the video showing the menu and the play button being pressed).

You do not need to include a menu at all, even if it's a SWF. The branding guideline is just there in the event that your animation has a menu, but it is not a requirement. I would rather not force an artist to include something pointless just to check a box, so a lot of these can be discussed if they don't work with your vision. For instance if the placement of a StickPage logo in the lower left doesn't work, you can put it in another corner.

About the no two-partners, it only applies to animation right? I can have as many voice actors as I want right? (Just my friends and family)

Sorry, the wording is no two-parters, not partners. You can work with whoever else you want on these but the person that submits the final animation will receive any prize money and they will have to divide it themselves. You can also have any voice actors you want. The rule is meant to make sure people aren't quitting half way through, putting "to be continued" on their animation and submitting it as a finished work. You're not the first person to misread it, so I've re-worded it to clarify.

So yeah, for the sake of posting progress, here's a draft screenshot. The next one won't be a draft.

Due to a recent unexpected injury (of my right arm), I'm not going to be able to finish before the due date.
So with great sadness I have to drop from the competition. But good luck to all the other participants! :)

I won't lie, I've been hella caught up with irl shit getting ready for this upcoming deployment, so if Jeff wants to extend I'd be okay with that :D

I'm not sure if I can finish my work load in 10 days, but I'm taking a buddy's staff duty shift tonight so I'll have like 16 hours to work on it lol

The winners will be announced on the 24th. That can be pushed back a few days at most, so if you're struggling for time you can have up until the 24th to submit and we'll do the judging during the following week. Other than that I will not be extending the deadline. In the past the generous deadline extensions created a lot of organisational problems and wasn't fair for those that finished on time who had to wait to find out the results. We're following a hard schedule on these competitions, so if you can't finish this time but would still like a shot, you'll have to wait until the next one starts in October.

Comprehending your statement, it means that the DEADLIEST DEADLINE would be on September 23, the day before the announcement of winners?

Yep! I'll try to be more concise in the future. The absolute last day we will accept entries is the 23rd. I have the week in there so the judges have time to go through every entry, so the announcement day will be some time the following week, once the judges have the final results in.
