Must contain official StickPage branding (download Flash package here or MP4 video package here), applied in the following ways
Are we allowed make our own styled intro related to animation that will include the brand Stickpage.com ???
Like Resh did here : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RjrRvSFtMdI

Probably. It's been done many times in previous competitions. I don't see why that would change in this one.
More importantly, where's Jeff? He hasn't done anything with this thread in a while. I'm not sure if that's just this thread or if it's for the other one too.

Hey everyone, I'm still here! Trying to check in as often as I can to keep things up to date. I've updated the main post with the current roster of those who have properly followed the "how to enter" section. I'm noticing a lot of people dropping in to say "I'm in!" but not mentioning their side, which is fine but I want to make sure everyone is fully reading the main post so that you don't finish your entry, then realize you missed something or did something wrong. You can still make a part without stating your side or making a WIP thread, but remember that doing so nets you bonus points during judgement. I haven't put up anyone that didn't properly follow the guidelines, simply because I cannot guess what side you're doing. You'll only get the points if your name is on the first page.
Keep in mind the minimum age to be a member of StickPage is 13. If for some reason you cannot receive any prize money but you still want you enter, you may, but we cannot make special exceptions for our payment process. You will need to register your own PayPal, or have a parent/guardian register and accept payment on your behalf.
Just to be clear it does have to be melee vs gun no matter what side you choose.
Yeah! If it falls under the category of either melee or gun you can use it. Standing out with more unique weapons is a good idea!
It does!
Oh, yes! I should probably revise that line to be clear you can make your own. Making your own would actually help you stand out. Thanks for bringing this up!

Yo Jeeeeeeeffefefff quick question. Is the melee character allowed to use his melee weapons for ranged attacks? For example, throwing an axe or knife? Really important.
Edit: Also vice versa, is the Gun person allowed to hit the other guy with the gun if he needs to? And can his guns have melee-related additions to them, like a bayonet or something?

there are some poeple here joining who are clearly not begginers, so how this will be fair for others? since there is a suposed to be a skill cap, there are many who are above it, isnt that bit...unfair for others?

Yeah, that's fine! As long as it's primarily one or the other. You can come up with some interesting dynamics that way, just be reasonable about it.

We simply will not count them as beginners if they make a part. We will also offer any good submissions from non-beginners a sponsorship for their animation since we wont be accepting them in this. Here is what I've said previously about it:
Quote from Jeffchances are if you entered as a beginner and we feel your winning animation reflects skills that are above a beginner, you would be given an opportunity to have your animation sponsored instead of taking first prize in order to make it fair to actual beginners. Of course all of this is hypothetical, and like a lot of things I have a feeling the details would be ironed out if it happens at all. There would be plenty of public discourse about it.
There are a few people who've said that they'll enter that I already know aren't beginners and won't have their submission be considered for the top 10. I also know they're good enough that if they did finish a part I would most likely offer a sponsorship for it. This way there's still a chance to make money, but they don't need to follow the rules of this competition or participate in any way because we're focusing on beginners only for this. Right now we have less than 10 confirmed entrants who will pretty much all be getting money if they finish, and there's still 2 spots left to guarantee top 10. I think if you're a beginner looking to make some money and practice for your own skills, this is pretty great opportunity even if you don't come in first.

can the gun side have a "gun-fu" fighting style, where their gun is still their main/only weapon, but they use a lot of close quarters combat, firing at point blank?

No post count or activity requirements, you don't have to be a regular member to participate. This competition is open to anyone!
