"Specifically which encounter?" Nikolai asked, "The first beast, the second beast, or the third one? Or maybe all the other beasts that came before we found you?"

He scoffed, leaning against the...dirt wall. He didn't feel like sitting down, "I just wanna get out of this weird fucking dimension. Where everything's a threat and everything takes an army to kill."

"Water is not an issue. The Obelisk was outfitted with the needed equipment to obtain water from the air and then purify it into drinkable water. I doubt there will be issues with it as if there were that would mean the very air we are breathing is poisonous. But running a few diagnosis will not hurt. I appreciate your help very much Madam Elyss and Master Mano, I could have never thought that the wound could have been healed. I'm sure if Master Edward was awake he would thank you as well." Orwell sighed then paused. "Madam Elyss, how extensive is your regeneration? Would it have affected other things the body would deem as injuries?"

"I wasn't aware that I signed up to be a part of some army." Isabelle sighed, "The feeling is mutual. This isn't where I thought I'd end up... So you look like quite the character, but then again I guess everyone else does as well. What's your story?"

"Oh," Elyss said. "Then that's great!" The porcelain woman perked up but didn't really show any difference in her body language.

"His regeneration? Well, I've been told that my songs degenerate the tissues of organics at the same rate it heals itself by ten. I've managed to reverse the process over experience. Also, it depends on the body now to determine which it heals. I can't focus on a single area, so the body's healing and own involuntary motions determine it. So if he has any other wounds, small or within, the body attempts to heal it."

Mano finishes with the bandaging. "Well, thanks for the lesson so far, and glad I could help out. I'm gonna go back to cutting up that predator thingy. Already got the skin off, so now I'm gonna study the muscle structure while cutting away the meat. Might get to have steaks later!" And he gets going back outside to the dead, skinless carcass.

"Thank you, Mano," Elyss waved goodbye. "Good luck with the autopsy."

Mercy, after doing what she could for the party, had a hard time busying herself with anything useful. Well, not that there was something for her to do anyway... She heard Orwell, Elyss and Mano talk about Ed's operation; Topic that came up all the way back in the bar. There was no point of involving herself, as long as it didn't consider replacing Ed's vital organs with their mechanized counterpart. Mercy's actions and coordination were too sudden and random, for her to be useful during any kind of chirurgical procedure. At least she realized that.

To kill some time, the girl transformed a tiny part of cave's wall into circular metal plate; a target, and began to throw small rocks at it, from the other side of the cave. Using her right arm to throw, the pebbles flew across like fired pellets, leaving a tiny dent in the target if they hit, or bouncing off the wall it they didn't. When Mano left the Obelisk, Mercy stopped mid throw, faced him and put her arm down. "Well...How did it go?" There was concern painted on her face, even if she tried to hide it behind her smile.

Mercy brightened up, hearing Mano's positive answer. She looked at the skinless creature, than back at Mano. "Um...Sure, there's nothing better for me to do anyway." The girl shrugged, and jerked her thumb at the beat up target, before following Mano with a smile on her face. "...What are we doin' again?"

Leo stood aimlessly around the cave, not really sure how to make himself useful. He had come to realize that if he wasn't fighting, he was pretty useless. And even when he was, he wasn't exactly the most helpful person in the world. He envied the others. They were stronger than he was and they were useful. Nikolai was the undeclared leader, the ladies were rather useful when it came to healing and fighting, Mano was basically the strongest member of the team, Orwell had the food rations (he overheard bits of the conversation). Leo was kinda just...there. He wasn't as smart as his father was, despite the fact that he always brought him up whenever he could, and he wasn't as strong as his mother was, despite the fact that he basically inherited everything from her. He wanted so badly to prove himself, but so far all he's done is lose an arm. He looked down at his hand, opening and closing his fist.

He looked up, and noticed Nikolai and Isabelle talking, and decided to escape his thoughts and go over to them. "We talking shit over here? Is it about the weird janitor guy following us around? 'Cause I'm trying to figure out how the hell he isn't dead yet."

"Well, you see," Mano says, gesturing to the skinned monster, "this thing is made of flesh and some kind of blood. Since we're stuck here for who knows how long, we may need to find some sources of food. At the same time, it's good to learn how the local fauna works. Obviously, they're carnivorous to some extent, but how often they have to eat is something that can be determined by the size of their stomachs. Mostly, however, once we're done cutting it up, I'm gonna try cooking it to see if it's edible at all. Maybe Orwell can scan it, but if he can't, I'll risk eating it to see if it makes me sick or not."

"My story?" Nikolai shrugged, "Dad died before I was born, mom died in a freak accident. Cliche story, right?"

He exhaled and looked outside of the cave at Mano cutting up the predator, "Some Fraysan overlord slaughters half of my family and this guy kills it in one blow? Tch, it's a god damn head scratcher is what it is."

He looked at Isabelle again, "Obviously you wouldn't have a clue what I'm talking about, but it's annoying, believe me."

He heard Leo's voice and shrugged, "Probably has super powers like the rest of us."

"Super powers? Is that what they're calling it? I'd say his survival is more than pure chance. People don't tend to survive creatures like the ones we've encountered by pure chance." Leo arrived just in time to add his input to their conversation. "Perhaps you need to follow in his shoes before you lose another arm." Isabelle leaned back, supporting her torso with her hands. Nikolai Jr. mentioned how everyone had super powers, which put a smile on the mage's face. "You should have used your super powers, Leo." She turned and looked curiously at Nikolai. "Normal people don't have eyes like yours, are you one of them?"

"I see...So if we're cutting this thing up...shouldn't we like gut it first or something?" Mercy scratched her head, looking at the dead creature. "I mean, that's how we're doing it back on Earth with...normal animals, no?"
