Horace nodded walking down the path towards the plain and away from the chasm. He normally didnt like being in such a open space but he knew it would be probably the best bet.

The party traveled down the pathway. Eventually, they came to the base of the mountain where a long plain stretched before them. A gentle breeze blew by, causing small swirls of dust to whirlwind upwards. There was no sign of life anywhere.

"Well, this might make having us spread out a bit redundant, huh?"

Elyss kept watch for her allies heartbeats, its the only thing she can do at the moment and singing may attract unwanted attention. She kept her hands at the ready, near her blade at her back. She simply looked out into the barren plains, deserted of life and color.
"Is this natural?" Elyss said uncomfortably. "This is the foot of a mountain, usually there should be life here... "

The party marched onward, exposing them completely on the wide open plain. There was no cover in case of an attack and the distance to any escape route was great. The group made it about halfway across the plain before they noticed something unique. A small beautiful red flower was trying desperately to grow. The thick dust on the ground had surrounded it and was seemingly choking the life out of the plant.

The dream roused Edward awake, who stretched with a shallow yawn. It had been a long time he had slept for so long and he rubbed his eyes and looked around. "Orwell, what time is it?"
"Aah Master Edward you're up! Madam Elyss will be delighted to hear. And to answer your question, I have no idea."
"No idea?" The boy got up and put on his hoodie. He walked over to the front of the mech and looked through the cameras and Orwell looked up as to show Edward what he's talking about. "There's three suns..." Edward mumbled.
"Yes Master Edward there are. Now let us tell Madam Elyss that you have awoken." The mech stepped past the others to get to the middle of the group, his steps kicking up small clouds of dust. "Madam Elyss, Master Edward has awoken and it seems he is functioning well." The mech looked at what the others were looking at. "What is this?" He zoomed in.
Edward answered for him. "It's a flower. It's pretty." Edward looked deep into the screen. Then he remembered what he had dreamed about and looked at his dashboard, grabbing the large rat skull. He ran to the back and slinging on his gas mask, climbed up to the porthole and opened it.
"Master Edward it's dangerous!" Orwell complained but the boy climbed out and dropped to the ground, landing on a pile of ash that mushroomed into the air. The boy coughed and slogged through the mess, reaching the flower where he began to scoop away the dust with the rat's skull. He dug away, trying to clear a small patch around the flower. "Master Edward what're you doing?" Orwell asked.
"Moonda said that if I help the world, the world will help us." Edward explained.
"Moonda? The researcher you said you met?" Orwell looked around at the bleak field. "I do not know Master Edward, it seems to be too convenient that we just so happen to run into the only piece of life in this wasteland."
"Moonda wants to save this world, I doubt he'd trick us." Edward reasoned as he dug away, "We're his only hope."
"Master Edward please, at least let me do it then rather than you endangering yourself." One of the Obelisk's arm dragged Edward back while with the other, he began pushing dust away with his pinkie finger, the metal digit digging furrows through the dust as he began clearing the ground around the flower.

Isabelle sighed in disappointment as the group began breaking formation over what, a flower? She would have really preferred it if they could all remain sheep for just a bit longer. The free minded humans are the ones always slowing her down.
The mage approached Edward and the Obelisk, looking down at the flower that Edward worked so hard to help. She huffed as Orwell dragged the boy away. "I say we feed it to Mano."

"Uh, I don't exactly like flowers. Thanks for thinking of me though!"

Elyss walked over to Edward and tilted her head as she knelt to have the same eye level as the boy.
"My, my," she said. "Back to your energetic self, hmm?"
The porcelain woman looked at the boy keenly, inspecting him for anything unusual in the surgery. It was also to keep Edward from moving around too much.
"Do you feel pain in any place?"

The boy patted his chest, tenderly running his metal fingers across. The small boy shook his head and his eyes crinkled in a smile, the only visible feature on the boy's face due to the mask. "No I feel fine. Thank you Madam Elyss." He chirped. He gave the porcelain woman a hug. Edward looked over her shoulder, "Orwell are you done yet?"
"Almost Master Edward." The AI reported. "And I advise against anyone from touching it, much less injesting it."

Elyss blinked and returned the hug warmly. Or as warm as her armored self could give. "I'm glad you feel better," she said cheerily. The porcelain woman looked over her shoulder and saw the flower, or what they recognize as a flower. She stood up and approached Orwell and the flower.
"Why is there a flower in the middle of nowhere? And amidst all this... dust," she mused. The dust thing intrigued her. On one hand that could be just normal for the world they currently reside in, like sand is to a desert and this flower is capable of living in such conditions but it just bothered her, piqued her interest at how a lonely plant like thing could survive.
"Do you mind scanning the dust, Orwell?"

"Why of course Madam Elyss." Orwell scanned the dust and also the flower that he had finally cleared a sizable square around. He scanned the dust and flower for any elements and compounds he could recognize, trying to see what their chemical make up was if it was anywhere close to earth flora, which he doubted. Edward looked at it from afar, wanting a closer looked but caged in by the Obelisk's fingers.

Yogi shifted from side to side, uncomfortable when he saw the dust, before shrugging.
"Yogi sweep this up."
Taking out pieces of a broom, he put them together, forming a convenient duster, and began to sweep the dust away.

Horace looked at the single flower intrigued by the it,
"My my this is an interesting, This is the only flower it looks like in this dusty plane".
He looked around to the group seeing if they knew anything about this flower. It didn't seem like anyone knew.

The flower quivered after it became free of its dusty prison. It shook slightly once more before twitching harshly. Suddenly a small creature ripped itself from the ground. It seemed to be made of plant fiber and rock. The flower sprouting out of the creature's head swayed gently. The small elemental looked up at Obelisk before a small chirping voice spoke up.
"Hello!"
"Hello!"
