Mano turns and watches the beast get impaled. He breathes a short sigh of relief. "I'm... just gonna head outside," he says. "I think that's a bit much excitement for me." He heads for the door leading outside.

Horace sighed looking at Orwell saying "i hate to run but it might be bet..." before he could finish his sentence the arcane spikes peirces the creature. "Well thats one way to handle it i suppose".

Elyss gazed what seemed to be the monster's corpse. The ichor looked somewhat familiar... was it really just Carnifex's spite to send them to a random world?
Or is this black blood something else?
"I feel as if this was too easy," she pointed out. "I say we move out with haste either way. The fortress' integrity is still compromised."

The blood dripped silently from the monster's body, before its massive arms crashed down next to it and it lifted itself free of the spikes. Its body seemed to quiver as its flesh and bone regenerated right before their eyes. The izardle looked to the party and roared.
A memory from the notes in the research room echoed in Edward's mind.
“Over and over it rose. Over and over we fell.”

"I agree with Elyss. There's no way that thing died that easily."
Isabelle backed away from the creature while keeping an eye on it. She would wait until Elyss fled the fortress and then follow closely behind.
As the creature stood once more, Isabelle backed away even quicker, looking up in near disbelief. Her energy was quickly coming back, and so she waited until the party mobilized before creating a massive pillar between them and the creature. The pillar connected the floor with the ceiling and would act as a support beam. Hopefully if the creature forced itself through the pillar, it would collapse the ceiling down onto it to buy them more time.
The mage took a deep breath as she moved towards Elyss to help her out of the fortress.

"Orwell!"
"Yes I am aware Master Edward." The robot fired at the beast with his minigun. It wasn't as powerful as his rifle, but it would tear apart flesh nonetheless. "Well you heard Madam Elyss, out everyone!" He barked.

Mano, having heard everything, decided to increase his pace for getting outside.

Elyss searched around as she began to leave.
"I can shield us from falling debris," she yelled. "I need you people to watch your step! People who can slow down the Izardle, do what you can."
With a single breath, she began to sing. Her arm raised above her head. [Citadum Annexia]
"And all the roads we have to walk are winding
And all the lights that lead us there are blinding"
From her hand, burst a white energy wall above their heads. Any debris would be bounced off safely and she made sure she had everyone sheltered under it. She tried to find Leo in the commotion but she instead looked forward to where she was going.
"There are many things that I would
Like to say to you
But I don't know how"

Horace looked at the creature then back to the group seeing Orwell still nearby "hey can you do me a favor and take this pocket watch and keep it safe till I come back". Horace smirked at the creature and heard Elyss said whoever can keep it back do so. Horace nodded and said "will do, don't worry about me you guys get out of here". Horace jumped out towards the creature holding his hands out towards whatever parts came his way, attempting to decay the beast.

The Izardle caught Horace in its hand, the flesh of its palm already starting to decay. However, it wasted no time and slammed the human against the wall, crushing every bone in his body. It then slammed him on the ground before punching him with its bifurcated arms, slamming him through the stone-carved ground as blood splattered around him.

"Alright Master Horace, what do you? Master Horace!" Orwell held the pocket watch in his hand as he watched Horace run in. He thought of chasing after but Edward's safety was his top priority so he turned and ran out of the forest, hoping Horace knew what he was doing. He could hear the crunches but dared not to look back and expose Edward to the gore. What was Horace thinking? He wondered.

Leo's head was spinning from all the excitement. And just as soon as it happened, it was over. The beast was impaled by Isabelle's magic spikes, which Leo had to admit, was pretty impressive. But they were all right, that was too damn easy. So, he ended up following the rest of the group and hauling ass out of there, 100% sure that Horace was dead. He continued to wonder how the hell he was still alive at this point, but didn't dwell on it too much.

Edward died, falling to the floor like a rag doll. Nikolai watched it happen, and his heart dropped for a moment. It was about a half hour after Sebastian's and they suffered another casualty. Considering Orwell's reaction and Edward's age, it was especially depressing, and caused Nikolai to grit his teeth in rage. Just as he was about to say something to counter Leo's emotionless demeanor, however, the impossible happened.
Edward was alive.
"Well, that happened," He commented.
Then came the mighty beast. Well, that happened. He took out his guns, however, before he could do a thing, the beast was impaled by Isabelle's spikes and went completely limp. While his brain tried to wrap around how such a thing was possible, he backed away toward the outside, tightening the grip on his guns, "Well," He said, exasperated, "That--"
It came to life, and at that very moment Horace ran at it. In all of his stupidity, he went and got himself killed. Blood splattered everywhere as he was completely mauled, "WELL!" Nikolai yelled, shooting three bullets at the floor beneath and around the beast; he was intending to drop the ceiling on the asshole, "THAT FUCKING HAPPENED"

Yogi had just finished mopping, so he decided to get out of the way of the beast.
His janitor training made him an excellent sprinter, so it didn't take long for him to gain distance.
The trusty mop and bucket were always there if needed.

The monster's flesh erupted in showers of black liquid. The bullets ripped through it mercilessly as it dropped dead to the floor. The party made it outside as it rose once more. It roared just as the ceiling fell on top of the beast, crushing it beneath the weight of the rock. The rubble was already moving around, tentacles tearing free as the beast struggled out of the destruction. The party had to decide fast, because the monster wouldn't be trapped much longer.
