The Glutton began to burst toward them with glee, one of it's tentacles wrapping around Nikolai Jr's ankle. He turned, shooting it with normal bullets until it retracted its grip. He ran to catch up with the rest of them as Isabelle did, and it was only then that he noticed the creatures rampaging toward them. Luckily, he also noticed the wall of spikes Isabelle had created. The dog sized monsters didn't even notice, running into them and impaling themselves. These monsters didn't regenerate; after a few seconds, they simply stayed dead. The larger creature, however, grazed the spikes before running around it and accelerating toward the group.

The Glutton ran smack dab into the spikes once more, but didn't go limp. Instead, it climbed over the wall, ripping itself apart in the process before jumping down. The creature, meanwhile, attempted to dive at Elyss. The only portion of salvation they saw was a cave further up north, a few hundred more meters ahead.

Elyss heard the steps of the beast, her own senses bolstered by her song. With quick thinking, she extended her arms forward and the oil shot out like whips. The tendrils of her solidified oil wrapped around the trunks of trees more than several feet ahead of her and she pulled, slingshotting herself forward at a fast pace.

She kept singing, her voice unshaken.

Mano continues running for the cave, feeling invigorated by the exercise.

As Leo ran, he looked back, noticing the Glutton wrap a tentacle around Nikolai's leg. When he shot it and freed himself, Leo sighed in relief. "Don't get yourself killed, Nikki J! I couldn't stand not seeing your pretty face!"

"This place sucks..."

As Mercy kept running through the woods, the girl eventually began to touch near trees that she passed by, one short dab being enough for a spark of her energy to jump on it. Affected trees quickly became black, covering themselves with metal and diodes. When one of the creatures was to pass by such tree, it'd emit a short loud Beep, before exploding, be it fully corrupted, or just a small part of it. Obviously, the Technomancer had enough reason, to not detonate the charges if someone from her group happened to be in the blast area.

"Fire in the hole!"

Edward squinted, focusing even harder on trying to shoot the large beast. He didn't bother wasting bullets on the Glutton, it was as effective as shooting a wall. Orwell was also out of rockets, having no time to manufacture any, so he didn't have enough firepower to matter anyways. As he worked on trying to shoot the mongrel, the Obelisk ran on.

The trees around the izardles exploded into metal shrapnel. The predator pumped energy into its massive limbs, urging itself forward and outrunning the explosion. The glutton, however, had to take the blast directly to the face. The monster's head ripped off of its body, tentacles already growing out of its neck as the plated skull flew away from the force of the blast. The lifeless body of the glutton collapsed to the ground, the tentacles twitching.

A clearing appeared between the mountain cave and the forest, providing no cover as they ran for rocky structure. A slight roar emanated from the cave before a new creature appeared. Roughly the size of an elephant, the monster took up the entire entrance to the cave. The thing's eyes seemed to be on its claws, each one trained on the party as the monster's circular center mouth roared at them once more.

Leo was just far enough away from the explosion to not be thrown forward. He glanced back and saw the Glutton was dead. He sighed in relief. However, he skidded to a stop at the sound of the roar. Before him loomed a giant monster blocking the path. He looked back and saw that the path was blocked, and faced the beast.

"Alright beastie, you wanna play? Let's play." He drew his weapons and aimed his pistol at the space in between the outer armor. He fired a couple shots from his pistol, lasers slicing through the air.

Mano stops himself, then looks back and forth. "Ugh, this is no good, this is no good at all." He turns to the predator behind them that was still alive, and gaining fast. He turns to Orwell. "Hey, buddy. Think you can do something for me? We've got a very short time."

"If it endangers the life of Master Edward, I will be less willing to comply, but being that either we do what you plan or we die... I have no reason to say no." The heavy rifle began firing at the eyes of the Sentinel, attempting to blind them.

"Good, because it only really puts my life in danger." He shifts his hand to its drill form, and begins to spin it as fast as possible, having his abilities have it continue at that speed. He then jumps up on Orwell. "I'mma need you to throw me at that guy as hard as you possibly can, k?"

"Master Mano... you're out of your mind." Orwell hesitated but then picked Mano up, its arm slinging back as he cupped Mano in his palm. "Godspeed Master Mano." Orwell threw the Hawaiian at the predator. Meanwhile Edward focused on firing at the Sentinel.

Once he reached the top speed of the throw, drill arm forward, Mano tricked his body, keeping the velocity. He was going to connect, and no matter how hard it was, he was going to keep going, and he was going to go through it. 'This is such a bother,' he thought to himself simply.

The Predator leapt towards Elyss but was suddenly impaled by Mano. The inertia manipulator went through the muscular creature like it was butter. However, the Sentinel has been tracking his movement.

The bucket and heavy rifle rounds spontaneously turned to water as they entered the area around the monster. But Leo's lasers made contact with it. The rounds ripped into the sentinel's carapace, causing it to roar and stumble.

Just as it stumbled it let less a massive line of energy from its mouth, ripping through the area and incinerating anything it touched, which just so happened to be Leo's arm and the obelisk's leg. The blast ended just as it made contact with Yogi's torso, the impact of the beam sending the janitor hurling through the air before crashing into a tree hard enough to topple the vegetation.
