You're both a mod and double posting within reason to update something, so there should be no issues.

Fair enough. You heard the man so pls no report :u
I'm just giving a quick update before I wrap up for the night since work is almost over:

-We have solar panels! They are slowly charging three batteries which will power the base in the future. For now they're only being used to power the fridge.
-On the top left, you'll see we have a whopping 730 units of meat. This is thanks to Aquila murdering an entire herd of cows.
-While Azure farmed his potatoes, Max has stolen cooking duties from him like the woman she is. I'm going to make two fireplaces so they can both cook.
-My future plans are to expand the base to create a hospital area, as well as a dedicated defense area. I've learned to my dismay that Aquila's minigun is very inaccurate despite his skills at shooting.
Also, Error's ex-wife:

Dakota, realizing the potential of their primary resources.
Great work everyone! We pulled it off without a hitch!
*At first he was worried that our space marine friend's loud weaponry may attract the walkers but we managed to get our core base built.*
Erhmmm, building isn't exactly my expertise....
But we should build defenses for our crops and solar panels next. We don't need to be feeling boxed in to our rooms if the horde shows up and it'd make protecting everyone a lot more comfortable too, knowing if something goes wrong that you all may have more time to react.
Teamwork makes the dream work, the more people we save the more we can do.
That's why once our base is defensible we should also go out searching for survivors if possible or scavenging anything we could use off of our power. Who knows how many people are dying out there right now? We might not have a lot of time to save them...
Also we need a team name, anyone from the founding group is an honorary member!
*What he's saying is: In terms of priority
1: We should make a new cloister of defenses around our new resources.
2: Safely search for more survivors.
3: Scavenge anything valuable.
4: Come up with a name for our group, so other survivors will know we're unified.*
Dakota knows though, the best laid plans. What the future holds will be interesting indeed.

It's okay, I know you want the ACE of Eagle county, baby.
In world like this everything and everyone, alive or dead wants a taste of Dakota Freedom.
It's cool though, we'll take it slow.

Alright lads I'm doing another session tonight, prepare for hella updates.
No one specifically said they wanted to be Betty, but I'll give it to Zero since he posted first.
Once again, the party unanimously agreed with Dakota's plans. With their newfound help, a preliminary outer wall was constructed in less than a few hours, surrounding the farm, the solar panel, and the brand new wind generator that Error had designed himself.
"But seriously, what should we call ourselves?"

They were in the dining hall discussing their next plans when Aquila suddenly jerked upright. The monitors in his suit were flashing, having detected a hostile presence. "We're under attack." The soldier stated as a matter of fact. "Give me a second. I'll get us a visual feed of what we're dealing with."
The amazing technology of Aquila's suit was able to snatch stray photons out of the air, reflecting away from the hostile's location. It worked at an incredible speed, and within seconds the marine presented this image to the team on a holographic display:

"Oh shit, really?" Dakota laughed, his breath coming out in a sigh of relief. "That's it? He's not even a zombie! Just some dumbass who has no idea what he's got himself into."
"Right." Aquila was no longer even terse. He seemed bored. "I'll deal with him. He's just a thug."
"Hold up, big guy." Dakota was grinning. "You've had all the fun so far. I think that it's time Max and I kicked some ass." He looked over to her, eyebrow raised inquisitively. "What do you think?"
Looking back, Max found herself grinning despite herself. She had been longing for a good fight for a long time now. "Let's get him."
The two fighters stood at the door of their base, waiting. It didn't take long before a ragged man with a wooden club came charging at them, foaming from the mouth. He must have gone mad--that was the only reason he'd be doing something so suicidal. He must have lost all hope in his life, or seen things so horrible that they shattered his mind.
He didn't even slow down as he ran into Dakota and Max's waiting forms.

The thug roared and swung directly at Max, who deftly sidestepped the blow and swung around with her blade, slicing deep into his left leg. Max slammed his baseball bat into his chest, causing the man's breath to escape with a choked whuff. To their surprise, this hardly slowed him down. The club was swinging again, bashing the side of Max's neck before she could do more than awkwardly absorb the hit with her shoulder.
Seeing Max hurt, Dakota's eyes hardened. He swung his bat into the thug's arm, jerking it so hard that his weapon flew from his hands. Max twirled gracefully out of harm's way and lashed out with her sword again, its tip slicing straight across her opponent's face.
He screamed, falling to the floor and clutching the ruins of his right eye. Incapicated.

"Well, then." Max huffed. Adrenaline was coursing through her veins and she loved it. The pain of the blow to her neck was nonexistent. "What do we do? Kill him, or take him prisoner?"
"What, kill him? I'm not so sure..."

"She's a girl?" Dakota yanked his hands back, discovering this as he searched her body for weapons and valuables.
"She seems skilled at what she does. But we already have so many mouths to feed."
What do you guys want to do with this bandit?

Generally I'd wait for a few more answers but I want to keep making progress and we don't have a lot of food production so it might be best to not take her in.
In the end, Aquila finished the raider off painlessly with a shot from his gun. (Any more updates tonight will be added to this post)
Honestly, the fort could have been designed better. Dakota's room was the only way to reach the food storages, and this lead to multiple people walking through his place while he slept. It woke him up again and again and drained on his mood.
"Fuck it, I'm moving somewhere else." He said. "Let's build into the mountain so I can finally get some god damned sleep around here."
And so it was done. Mining turned out be really hard work, and he was at it for hours before Zero joined in out of sympathy, with a bit of help from Azure whenever he wasn't busy tending to the crops. But oddly enough, they discovered that a room of some kind was built into the mountain and entombed within the rocks. Who knew what was inside it?

"I've seen something like this before." Aquila sauntered up to the tomb, inspecting it. "I shit you not, there's been people in places like these, strapped to cryogenics with their minds still conscious, kept alive to stare at nothing for thousands of years. They're always insane--always hostile. I'll stick around when we decide to open this thing up."

"Ah. Nothing. Just as well."
Without a word, Aquila left the room, leaving Dakota to his tasks.

Meanwhile, Azure's crops were ready to harvest! There were so many potatoes. They weren't even sure if they could store them all.
Only one way to find out, eh?
Everything is going exceptionally well. The base now had a great power supply, tons of food, and plenty of resources to keep on expanding. Aquila even started laying limestone tiles in the dining room to make the place look nicer.
Of course, we were still living in a broken world. Good things were not going to last.

Aquila stormed through the base until he found Max and Dakota, telling everyone else to stay inside as he met them. He found Max cooking a meal while Azure gave her dirty looks, and Dakota out in the fields cloudwatching.
"We've got company. Zombies this time." He told them.
"Ah, shit." Dakota groaned. "Hopefully they're just a small group that got lost. If they're part of a larger horde then we're fucked."
"I don't think so." Max said. "I think a horde was passing through the area and these are the zombies at the mob's outer limits. After these three, we shouldn't see any more zombies for a while..."
"Let's hope so." Aquila grunted.
"Hey, we have defenses by now, right? Traps? A battle plan, maybe?" Dakota asked, anxious.
"Ah... no. Not yet." Errorblender supplied. "I've been trying to design a smelting machine to turn the steel from those falling drop pods into something we can use. I've had no time to make defenses. All we have is this:"

"It's an embrasure for shooting through the walls. I built it into the wood and it should let Aquila fire his weapon from safety. I don't want you guys getting infected."
Aquila grunted. Dakota did not look happy. Max shrugged. "It's what we've got. We'll let Aquila shoot them, and whoever gets through the door gets nailed." Dakota said. "Let's do this."
Sauntering slowly, lifelessly, the zombies took far too long to reach the base. Aquila sat waiting, rifle leveled through the embrasure for a target to hit. Max and Dakota waited anxiously at the door with their weapons in hand, knowing that a wound could leave them infected.
After what seemed like an eternity later, a rotted, gnarled face appeared into view. Aquila let loose a volley of thundering lead.
RATATATATATATA
The first body's torso was shredded; chunks of skin and bone flying from the standing corpse that paid no heed to its body being eviscerated. It was only when two bullets found their way into its head that the body collapsed twitching to the floor.
While he reloaded, the second zombie made it to the door and began pounding on it. Slowly, but each blow carrying surprising force that made Max jump with the impact.

Cracks broke in the door's wooden frame before Aquila reloaded and unleashed another hailstorm of fire. Another zombie fell to the floor after taking far more damage than should have been possible.

The third zombie was tucked in too deep for Aquila to hit. Instead, he backed up away from the door with his rifle at ready, waiting for it to be broken down. Max and Dakota repositioned behind him, waiting to swoop in if he needed the help.
But if that wasn't enough, an argument was brewing in the next room and the stress was causing it to escalate violently. What started as an insult turned into fisticuffs. But Azure wasn't fighting back--he took each blow with full knowledge that he was right, knowing that hitting back was a losing battle. He would strike back in a much more harmful way than blows when the time came.

Hearing the fighting, Dakota and Max turned to the room next door, worried that another zombie had entered. The brief moment allowed the real threat to approach Aquila and lash out, luckily landing a single scratch around his belly.
Dakota immediately caved in the zombie's head with his bat.
Azure was knocked out, and Zero left, taking the meal that had been cooked for her without another word.
"It's just a scratch, not a bite." Max murmured, worried. "There's no saliva. That means you're not infected." She was saying it to comfort herself more than Aquila, but the words still helped.
"I'll get Error to look at it. But if I become infected..." He looked them straight in the eyes. "Kill me before I turn."

After a few tense hours, Error patched Aquila up and told him that he would be fine. There was no infection in his blood.

Azure was bruised, but totally fine in the long run. But he was not going to forgive what had been done.
Strangely enough, when Azure got out of bed he made a sculpture even though he's not set to do work like that. He made this...

And placed it in his room.

Her skillsets were ok for hunting and developping the base. Ok she was antisocial as fuck so communicating could have been major issue, but she was a nudist so it was k :D

Yeah but she's incapable of being an intellectual and social being, which is bad in our situation.
Also, yo, did I just knock the daylights out of Azure? Totally sweet!
