If he's indeed there, I don't believe he cares much.
BUT SCIENCE CARES!

Quote from BonkWhy does there have to be? A human being's only real purpose is to reproduce, we just created all this other stuff because we could.
And someone told me a valid point today. Who would want eternal life? You'd get pretty bored after a while. You live, you do stuff, you die. It doesn't HAVE to be more complicated than that, and religions are a result of people wanting it to be.
Constantly learning and learning...? We have the brain capacity to learn for ever and ever. All knowledge can be learnt, and even scientists know that.
Oh wow the big bang occured, it just happened to know what to create, and gave us unlimited brain capacity for no reason, even though we are going to die in 70 or 80 years of life (If your lucky, probably older)

I'm pretty sure thats wrong actually. I would like to see some evidence to this claim.

DEREK:
You going to go out laughing, are you?
CLIVE:
No, I'm going out, going out ****ing .....
DEREK:
****ing shitting yourself with fear!
CLIVE:
Shitting myself with ****ing fear and ****ing cancer, which God so kindly provided.
DEREK:
(giggles)
CLIVE:
Without that we wouldn't have a way to die, would we? ****ing good of him! Not to torment us with being eternally young and being able to **** everyone. No! He gave us this great gift of ****ing cancer, that's very kind. I wouldn't have thought of that if I'd been creating the universe, would you? Bung in cancer? No, I'd have left that out.
Derek and Clive's veiw of god and cancer.

Yeah, plus... Why did god make hitler I wonder? Or the Atomic bomb, or anything else bad in this world that couldn't possibly be put down to us or the devil. I mean sheesh, what a nasty guy.

Why a thread about god?

Explains the creation of the atomic bomb.
There is no solid evidence that does or does not exist, so why the **** do religious debates show up.

I agree. Talk to any old programmer and they'll tell you that it gets harder and harder to learn new programming languages as time wears on because your mind is so full.
@Saline: Religious debates are passionate. That makes them more fun. That's why they continue to pop up.

QFT. Religious debates are the only ones that are any good, and the only ones that you can actually get really into.
This one feels dead. But I'm always up for another one with a different theme...

Quote from TidusDoes God even care about all the sins we commit, and all the good deeds we do? Christian people keep on asking god to forgive their sins, but they never get a little compliment for the good things they do.
For that I do believe in God, but just partially. Not like most of the people christian people.
So discuss this: Does God care about what we do, or did he just create our planet, and let us be?
What ever? But, I think He cares. WHY He create us? This is the question...
