The Proving Grounds

Innumerable gladiators steal the spotlight of the RHG scene each day, basking in the fame and glory of the worldwide spectacle. There are many more who would seek to gain admittance. Before any prospective gladiator can join the roster, however, the RHG puts them through a few rigorous tests to ensure that they have what it takes to compete within today's environment: Whether they've the skills for the job, and whether they've the wits to put on a show. Many succeed, and many fail, but the stream of gladiators pouring in and out has never lessened. In light of these developments, the corporation has opened a new branch to more efficiently handle the income of applicants: The proving grounds.
Disclaimer: This is just a narrative blurb. It isn’t mandatory at all, and don’t be afraid of failure. Just thought I’d spin a little story to this.

I implore everyone who already has a character test room to move over here and start commenting on each others' works so we can really get this thing of the ground. Considering how neatly people have been keeping track of their battles and character changes ever since I reworked the Hall (seriously, good job guys), I've high hopes that as long as I maintain this daily we can really get this started.

Since this thread itself is quite a new concept in the Lounge, it's going to be a bit rough on the edges for now. As with the Hall, I'll be making work of optimising the thread as we move along. If you've any suggestions on how to improve the system, feel free to share them with me. Also, be sure to enjoy your time here!

Vern's Character Concepts

These are all concepts for characters I found interesting enough to work out, though after working them out a bit lost interest in again. I never really intended to share these so publicly but I guess they serve a nice purpose now since they can serve as an example. I'll give y'all a short indication of my thought progress and intentions for each char too. Note that some of them have largely unfinished sections, and generally haven't been spellchecked either.

Nahldwiin

So Nahldwiin is a mecha-dragon. I don't know what it was that inspired me to make him, but I worked him out quite a bit. Wanted to turn him into a fully fledged wRHG, because I wanted a break from the normal boring underpowered humans I usually make, and see how it'd be to write this huge mechanical powerhouse of a fighter. I gradually lost interest in him as I started developing June. I still think about him every now and then, though, and this is still the concept I'm proudest of. If you guys like this one, do let me know, and I'll consider working him out a tad more.
Nahldwiin (Click to Show)

Abilities
Spoiler (Click to Show)
e, the dragon’s hull is completely covered in metal plates made of a titanium alloy. They are polished and smooth and slip into each other through grooves and joints. They allow a surprising amount of mobility, with the dragon being able to turn himself 180 degrees in any direction if his hind legs are facing forwards. If the metal plates are damaged and dented in such a way that they would cause internal damage or impede movement they can be ejected from the body.

Beneath the metal armour is a thick carbon-fiber skin protecting all the inner machinery of the beast’s hull. While far less protective than the metal plates, it is perfectly capable of stopping all manner of lower caliber gunfire and deflect or tank through impacts from sharp weapons and heavy blunt force respectively.

He also has a long metal tail that can be whipped with astounding force.

Inside is all manner of steel machinery and plenty of wiring to ensure that no area is too delicate to be missed (save for the head). Nahldwiin is powered by a small nuclear engine in the abdominal region. If the reactor is critically damaged it will immediately shutdown to prevent nuclear meltdown.

The properties of his biology warrant that he is very resistant to all manner of temperature changes.

A deep gray liquid flows through numerous large and mall ‘veins’ through his body to keep everything supple and provide power where needed. The liquid is highly flammable. If a vein is laid bare the system will deactivate it so not too much of the fuel is lost.

He experiences pain normally from the skin and whatever lies within, but can continue fighting even if he has sustained humongous damage. A lack of vital organs and the safety measures on his veins also warrant that he suffers not from inner bleeding or organ failure.

Somewhere next to the inner joints of his front legs are two tanks that hold an incredibly flammable liquid. The liquid can be shot from the body from an iron hose in his beak. It gets ignited when ran past the nuclear reactor and comes out as a napalm of well up to 1600°, hot enough to melt through steel (though barely not hot enough to melt through titanium).

Since his brain is more so cybernetical than it is organic, he also boasts a strong resistance to psychic influences, though strangely enough he does suffer from them slightly.

His maws are lined with many razor-sharp “teeth” that can be pushed down with such a force that they could bite through a small steel beam.

The front legs are outfitted with four sharp claws, though they are far less sharp than the teeth.
Lastly, from his front legs he can extend his wings, which consist of many red hexagons. The force of these wings is not sufficient for liftoff and he must use small engines hidden between his hind legs to help him take off.

The polished armour may also reflect bright light into the eyes of opponents, though this is more of a nuisance than an actual asset.
Weaknesses
Spoiler (Click to Show)
expose the inner carbon-fiber skin if he turns in any direction. If he stands completely straight there are still small grooves in which a blade could be hammered. If struck at the right angle the outer armour plate can forcibly be removed from the carbon skin.

While the carbon-fiber does not conduct electricity, the inner machinery is vulnerable to short circuiting if it is overloaded, and will likely temporarily shut down parts of his hull.

The carbon-fiber also does not warrant that, if struck with enough blunt force, the pistons and joints beneath would not break like any bone would.

The fire-breathing is very limited as he only holds so much fuel, just enough for about fifteen consecutive seconds of fire, and it can never be sustained for any longer than 3 seconds so that the inner body would not overheat. It must then cool down for a while (about 20 seconds).
While spewing fire, he can not move his body and can only slowly rotate his neck.

Flight requires a lot of power to maintain and he can exhaust his capacitors and power reserves very quickly if he flies too long, and must properly recharge before another takeoff.

Power management is important for the dragon, as the reactor can only provide him with so much. Stronger blows or rapid movement means more power usage, and the generator only recharges his power reserves if he remains largely motionless. It will break even with slow movement and mediocre force, and will exhaust with rapid movement or with stronger force.

The eyes are very vulnerable in comparison to the rest of his body. The mechanical eyes are protected by bulletproof glass but enough force can shatter it, after which one could damage the eyes to impede his vision. If they are daring enough.

As the saying goes, the bigger they are… He is a very large target and you’d pretty much have to be both deaf and blind not to know where he is at all times. He makes no effort to hide whatsoever either. His size warrants that it is nigh-impossible to miss him.

While he is considerately mobile and fast for his size, he is still to be considered slow and immobile by the RHG’s standards. A gallop puts him about faster than 30 MPH, but would result in considerable momentum and takes a while to achieve. The faster he moves, the harder it is to turn, and he can only turn his body 180° in any direction.

As is the case with most dragons, he has several blind spots and several spots on the body he can’t exactly reach, such as on the back (though beware his tail!) and beneath his belly. The belly is also more vulnerable as the metal plates are absent there.
The dragon is not much of a thinker either. While certainly intelligent, his mind goes more to the battle and he lacks the cunning of a tactician.

Seeing how he is the RHG’s own ‘champion’ he is expected (and programmed) to deliver a show and _will_ always toy around with his opponent, no matter how much he yearns to kill them. Sharp-witted enemies can exploit this.

Lastly, his enormous pride warrants that he will not back off from any challenge his foe throws his way. He is easily taunted (though far from easily infuriated) and he thinks himself nearly invincible and will throw himself into battle without as much as a second thought. This makes him vulnerable to ambushes and traps, though one should never underestimate his perceptiveness.
Personality
Spoiler (Click to Show)
is dragon spirit collides with his mechanical body and his mind has been corrupted by the directors of the RHG to slavishly serve them. He views his new body as immensely strong, however, and takes much pride in it, often calling the fleshy mortals inferior.

He is a very stubborn and prideful creature. He loves exchanging retorts and crushing his foe afterward, though will not back down from any challenge thrown at him, which, if his opponent is devious enough, will result in more harm than good. As a dragon, he has a natural condescendence towards mortals and views them as inferior, petty and insolent. He shows respect towards those that manage to surprise him, however.

The prideful and slightly self-obsessed demeanor hides the troubled doubter beneath, as within his draconic nature to be free constantly conflicts with the corrupting programming that makes him a slave to his human manufacturers. He can not comprehend it, as he can not possibly disobey his masters yet would never willingly serve a mortal, and this leaves him with a confusion and anger that can not be explained away to himself.
Viper

Viper was a one-night stand. While I doubt anyone here would notice, I figure it's best to be open about it: I was playing Furi a lot when I wrote this character and I drew great inspiration from one of the bossfights in that game for this character. Intention was for this character to be a short lived fighter, two or three fights or so before I'd retire him. When I picked him up again to continue working on him, I noticed how shit and edgy it was and I lost interest. Besides, I haven't the best experience working with characters that are pretty blatantly copies of other people's work.

About
[Classified] Anomalies - Subject #107 ‘Viper’;

March 17, 20XX - Rieger’s notes of the board meeting of March 17, 20XX

It was a long ways coming, but the board finally came together today to discuss the matter of the sanitation in Sierra Pines. The city had grown exponentially over the course of the last decade but its sewers hadn’t been touched since the corporation bought the city in 19XX. Maintaining them became increasingly harder as the amounts of waste increased and it became problematic, recently the stench outside has become unbearable.

They have at long last signed the contract for the renovation of all sanitational services in Sierra Pines. They will forward the documents to the administrational institute within a week’s time after which renovations should soon be underway. Thank God, too, because it’s even starting to reek in my own bathroom nowadays.

May 23, 20XX - Adminstrational Institute’s Archives

All search-and-rescue operations for the construction workers; [Redacted], are to be ceased with immediate effect. Their disappearance is believed to be linked to recent criminal activity and they are presumed dead. Your requests to desist the construction in that area have been rejected, you must resume construction of the sewage lines in the wharf’s district within the next workday.

May 25, 20XX - Adminstrational Institute’s Archives

In light of reports of continued disappearances of multiple employees in the wharfs district, all construction of the sewage lines there is to be halted with immediate effect. Your complaints have been noted, and will be looked into shortly. We kindly request you not to press charges. An emergency meeting has been called and the Adminstrational Institute is forwarding the case to the board.

June 1, 20XX - Excerpt of Captain of Lion’s Guard Grivaldis’ official letter of complaint

I swear I’m getting rather fed up with this; Those blokes from the Adminstrational run into a problem at least every single day, and guess who gets to go clean up their shit? That’s right, me and my team. Every. Single. Time. I didn’t sign up to be some overglorified boy scout, neither did any of my men. We’ll do this last job for you folks, alright? But if we don’t get some serious postings after this, you can look for someone else to play janitor. The lot of us heard there’s a big market for mercenaries down in equatorial Africa, and all that money’s starting to sound real attractive to us.

June 2,20XX - Subject #107, first entry

In light of the recent disappearances and the unfortunate passing of Captain Grivaldis and his Lion’s Guard near the construction works of the sewers in the wharf district, we are opening this new Anomaly file for future reference, until this case gets resolved.

So far there is yet to be anyone to return from the construction site in the wharfs district. We lost all contact with Captain Grivaldis’ team at exactly [Redacted]. The local underground isn’t known to attack the corporation’s own guards, so we expect there is a rogue element at work here. Recent gladiator activity in the area seems unrelated to the disappearances, and no supernatural activity has been detected, which means we can safely presume no mages, demons and angels are at work here.

Life scans are barren, a team of armed investigators will be sent in tomorrow for further inspection.

June 3, 20XX - Subject #107, second entry

Two of our investigators returned, though one of them died shortly after. The last one is still in delirium, our doctors have concluded that he is under the effects of a neurotoxin. Once he recovers we will have a better idea of what we’re dealing with.

June 4, 20XX - Subject #107, third entry

The last investigator has deceased and with him all the information we had, we’re back at ground zero. His corpse was found bloated and mutilated in his room, we assume the toxin caused him to kill himself, though we are uncertain how he managed to inflict this degree of wounds with what little tools available to him.

The Bay City Beast

This character (Halle Mackinson) is an edited and updated version of the character profile I received from Sanctuary's clan leader, Kamiroo Wolf, on June 11, 2016 -- ACR Target 001. The character was to be recruited into Sanctuary by Dante Rockwell, my primary wRHG at the time, per an ACR Contract. Following the events of Sanctuary's first collaboration, I revealed that Dante's attempts to recruit Halle into Sanctuary had been unsuccessful. Opting to continue the recruitment arc, this became a plotline I continued to entertain for some time. Eventually gaining confidence with the character, I tested the waters with Halle as the primary lead, as opposed to Dante, in the short-lived Sadie Rockin's Dance RP. She may wind up being mentioned in passing in the upcoming Sanctuary collab, which is set to precede the date of the dance, but as of now I don't have any particularly grandiose plans for the character, just this profile, which I'm now subjecting to review. As of this message's original posting, I would consider this profile a hastily assembled mess with pieces missing throughout. Posting it here in the hopes of one day patching it up. Will answer any questions regarding the character, but may be slow to make changes.

Halle (Click to Show)

Personality:
She’s very brash. She has no problems with being the loudest person in the room or on the street and cares very little for the feelings of others. She’s hotheaded and quick to fight, as she is used to successfully putting down any and all who oppose her. She doesn’t know much about the RHG system, but is certain she doesn’t wish to join in fear that she will one day meet her match(which is a lot of people if you think about it).
((This is quoted directly from the June 11th memo))
Appearance:
Pale skin with very toned arms, legs and core as a result from her extensive workout regiment. Wavy, brown chin-length hair accompanied by yellow-green eyes. Often totes around a dufflebag. Often wearing military-esque clothing. Her most distinguishing figure is the massive, ever-shifting face tattoo, which transforms between the shapes of various animals when using her ability.

Age: 28
Species: Human
Race: Caucasian
Sex: Female
Height: 5'7"
Build: Physically fit and lithe. Musculature clearly defined, and lightly pronounced.
Figure: Clearly feminine, though densely muscled. Hip and bust size around average in proportion to sex & build.
Eyes: Yellow-Green
Hair: Chin length, wavy, chestnut brown
Skin: Pretty pale
Strengths:
Mark of the Beast:
Halle is able to adopt animal aspects via morphing the tattoo on her face. Based on the tattoo, her fighting style will be altered, allowing her to manifest the strengths and weaknesses of the desired creature. For instance, if her tattoo represents that of a bear, her fighting style would be ferocious and full of might, allowing her to move and strike with just as much strength as your average bear. If her tattoo represent that of a shark, her fighting style would be… I don’t know, sharky? You bet your ass she’d be one hell of a swimmer though! She cannot adopt a bird’s flight, however she can adopt their momentum, swift peck-like strikes, and even nimbleness for her fighting style. And before you ask, she can indeed adopt an animal's venom, wall-climbing ability, etc, but she cannot adopt gills.

Rᴂoїn
Another unfinished passion project awaiting general feedback.

Rᴂoїn (Click to Show)

Strengths
Ethereal Form:
Rᴂoїn is permanently intangible and semitransparent.

Call to Bloom:
Rᴂoїn's Call to Bloom is in some ways as simple as it sounds, in that she may willfully invite beings of the mortal plane to "bloom" into ethereal beings, forcing them from the mortal plane into the ethereal plane. The ramifications and details of this, however, are considerably more nuanced. Those who answer the Call to Bloom will, over the course of the first half hour of the call's effects; experience an apparent drowsiness escalating to a catatonic, or comatose state, at which point the mind may wander freely, and the Call to Bloom may still be abruptly ended should the mortal will it. Over the next half hour, the comatose victim will lose all visible life signs and begin to transform into granite. Once the victim's body is petrified completely, and the Call effectively answered, a hallowed light consumes the granite from within, hollowing out the petrified corpse. As the light makes its way outward, the stone's outer layer begins to crack. Rather than collapsing in on itself, however, the shards of the statue's outer shell begin to levitate, each floating shard glowing blue at its outer edges and dissolving inwards until all that remain of the body are embers, and all that remain of the embers are then dissolved. When all traces of the victim have been removed from the physical plane, their ascendance to the ethereal plane shall be complete. Whilst in the ethereal plane, intangible objects may be considered tangible (and vice versa), including Rᴂoїn. It could be said that Rᴂoїn uses this to her advantage, luring her victims to her under the guise of a mere hallucination. It could also be said that Rᴂoїn simply does not wish to be alone, does wish to be held, hence her calling consenting patrons to her plane.

Call to Stone:
Just as Rᴂoїn possesses the power to bring forth beings from earth to ether, Rᴂoїn also possesses the power to cast beings who will it from the ether unto the corporeal plane. As the being dissolves from the ethereal plane, they emerge as glowing blue embers in the earthly plane. These embers then form a shell, and the shell is lade in with granite. The shell becomes a statue, and the statue may come to life. Similarly to the Call to Bloom, the average transition time from thin stone shell to live and living being is at minimum an hour, with the transition taking longer for those weighed down with regret or hesitation in their departure to the opposing plane.

Pitch's List of Bitches

This is the place where I shall put my shitty (actually kind of decent I hope) ideas.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is the first NPC I ever created. He is mentioned in my first battle with Dermot, though he is never interacted with directly within that story. His name is:

Johnathan "Sharkfin" Johnson

Gender: Male
Age: 27

Fish Are Friends, Not Food. (Click to Show)

Abilites:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
k of. He is well versed in hand-to-hand, bar brawler style combat, as well as a bit of swordsmanship. But his real strength comes from his words. He is incredibly confident and that is shown through his speeches. He can make a blind man believe he can see just by talking to him for 5 minutes. He makes those around him feel powerful... or terrible depending on who's side you're on.

He mainly uses his fists in a fight but he has a cane sword for when things need to get slicey.
Weaknesses:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
. He won't be going toe to toe with any supes any time soon. He can hold his own in a fight with any other normal man, but any sort of power may prove too much for him to handle if he can't talk his way out of a situation.
Personality:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
out anything. He's the kind of guy who would not only eat a live cockroach for a dollar, he would chase it with a bottle full of spiders and a side order of pig intestines. Also, he is almost always beyond positive. He always can crack a joke or smile even in the worst situations. He's the kind of guy that every leader should aspire to be, but everyone is too busy being all "Ooo, I'm a big scary general. Fear me and obey!" Despite this, he is known to get quite serious when he needs to. Many people have tried to mess with him and none of them live to tell the tale.
Appearance:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
oat no matter what. He even wears it when he's going to bed. It's almost like a security blanket that he can wear. Besides that, he usually wears flip flops and black pants, along with some kind of graphic t-shirt. As for his physical appearance, he is a tall and lean man. His jawline looks like it was chiseled by a sculptor and it is covered with a scruffy beard that adds to his overall manly attitude. He has big brown eyes that can comfort anyone with just a gaze and shaggy brown hair that he constantly has to push out of his face.

This is another character that I have been working on in my spare time, but he isn't really finished at all. He came from my recent obsession with Hellsing Ultimate and his name is:

Duncan Glas

Gender: Male
Age: 30

The Heavenly Father (Click to Show)

Abilities:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
ent magical spells. Some of his most notable spells include:

Holy Light: He can shine a blinding light from his palms that burn all unholy things, such as vampires and demons.

Smite: Duncan summons a pillar of light from the sky like a lightning bolt.

Thorns of God: Duncan summons bright white vines from the ground. These vines can be used to latch on to a person and hold them down.

Rejuvenation: Duncan uses his holy magic to heal himself. The more severe the wound, the longer it takes to heal.
Weaknesses:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
form of martial arts training. He relies on his magic to kill his targets, so he can quickly crumble in a situation where he can't use it.

Holy Magic: His holy magic really only affects unholy things. People who don't have a high amount of sin just get annoyed by it.
Personality:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
ing raised in a church has given him some significant tunnel vision. He believes that all other beliefs aren't valid which leads to him acting like he is better than any person that doesn't believe what he does. He's never outright mean to anyone because of this. But, he is very quick to let someone know how much he doesn't care about them if they get too out of line around him. Besides this, people in the church says he's a rather nice guy. He always helps out with the kids, cleans the church, talks to families, all of that stuff. Though, he can occasionally get a little too close to people during these periods. He doesn't really have a sense of "personal space".

I have nothing much to say about this character except that she will be my next wRHG. Expect some things to change about her before the final release. So, here she is"

Bethany Brookes

Ginger Snaps (Click to Show)

Personality:

Nothing can bring Beth down. She is the most optimistic person you’ll probably ever meet and that can be both a good and bad thing. She always is trying to make friends, no matter what kind of person that “friend” may be. She has even tried to befriend some of her opponents on occasion. This carries over into her fighting as well, where she will try to playfully taunt her opponent and, sometimes, even encourage them to do better if they are losing. This makes her especially weak to those who fight dirty, since she isn’t expecting her opponent to betray her in any way. I mean, why would they? She’s just so nice!

Appearance:

Beth is a normal sized girl for the most part. She has acquired some muscle due to her rigorous training regimens but, besides that, her body is rather average. She has short, red hair that falls down to her shoulders and she, usually, keeps most of her hair tied up in a small ponytail, leaving enough hair to have two ribbons of hair on either side of her head. She has pasty white skin, with cheeks covered in freckles, and large brown eyes. Clothing wise, she usually wears something that she can easily move around in. Typically, she will wear different colored tank tops, black cargo shorts (so they can always match the shirt), and gray sneakers. She constantly wraps new bandages around her fists and forearms to keep them from getting too bruised up.

Abilities:

Strength/Speed: Even though she is 13, she is strong enough to stand a chance against a grown man. She is also incredibly agile due to the close up nature of her fighting style.

Powers:

Spoiler (Click to Show)
Beth, she will gain enough strength to match them. If someone is weaker than Beth, she will lose enough strength to match them. This is based on physical strength and not relative strength. Also, powers that affect her body directly, or if they are unnatural in general, are incredibly weakened or, if the power is weak enough on its own, don’t have any effect when used on her. For example, if someone shot her with a magical bullet her skin probably wouldn’t even be penetrated by it. But, if someone was using superspeed and punched her in the face while using said speed, she would not take reduced damage from the punch since her opponent’s body is being affected by the speed and the punch is from a natural source: their body. Beth uses her own fighting style that takes inspiration from a few other f

Aligators for Gladiators

Leonid "Lumberjack" Govorov

Leonid is a bulky middle-aged man with an extreme fondness for axes. Though hardly anyone would blame him for this is you consider his past. This is the only character from my testing room(which got no feedback) and I am open for CnC to him and anyone that may follow.

photos with a close approxiamation on what it looks like, because you might not understand from my bad descriptions:p Also the blade will be approximations. so have this in the back of your head.)

Uhhhh. No money again. This shouldn't keep happening.

Leonid closed his purse and moved out of his shack. He was quite lucky to have this shack in the first place so he didn't complain about it. What he did complain about was that he couldn't get a steady job. His income was unreliable and there were days in row when he went hungry. He decided to go to this time to a pub in which he had performed a few times. Except lumberjack he was also a good singer, but he didn't often show this.

"Hey Sergei, you know why I am here. Do you have any spare place for me?"

A bald man with a scar on with forehead turned and with a smile replied.

"Oh, isn't this our little Leonid. I am so delighted to see you here. Sadly we have every time on the stage booked, but don't get that face you tough guy. If you want money you can entertain the people in a variety of ways!"

With this, the two men behind the bald guy drew their knifes and pounced on Leonid. He wasn't quick enough and was thrown down. He got up before they could stab and hurriedly took one of his poles out. He attached a small blade with deep curve This was ideal for the small place he was in. He got ready and charge forward to the guy in the left. Immediately before impact he sidesteped and with the axe raised to the right, he sliced his foes' throat open. The other man seemed shocked by this and looked at his boss, which gave him an angry look. The man then looked back at Leonid which threw his weapon at him. It hit him right in the forehead and stuck there.

Leonid picked up his weapon and faced Sergei, only to see more men swarming behind him. They were totally eight more men. This didn't discourage Leonid who swapped his blade again for a wide axe blade and prepared hiself. The men surrounded him but noone dared to attack.

"MOVE IT IDIOTS. YOU ARE EIGHT AND HE IS ONE. YOU EVEN HAVE BETTER WEAPONS!"

Sergei kept shouting at them until the man behind Leonid lunged forward with his dagger, only for Leonid to spin with axe and satb at the side of the head. The other men took the chance and attacked too. Leonid continued the spin and hit with an uppercut attack another guy and brought it down to the head of a third one. He blocked a slice from the fourth guy and hit the fifth with the back of the pole. He continued with hitting him with the opposite part of the blade and breaking his skull. The two last guys run away and only one left. Leonid run at and over him with his big body. He turned back and killed him while on the ground.

Finally Leonid confronted Sergei who clumsily tried to escape too. Leonid took his time and swaped to a blade with steep curve. He used this to catch Sergei by the back of his shirt and stop him.

"Now Sergei... Where is my money?"

Sergei gave up and pointed to his right.

"Second door third shelf."

"I am happy we could cooperate."

With this Leonid took a bountiful of money which could last him for months and set off to his shack.

Electroshock

This is(for those who remember) my very first character I made when I joined here. He still doesn't have a real name and goes only by the nickname 'Electroshock'. He is a lost man trying to find his way through society. His history is messed up but doesn't like that to influence him much. He can generate obscene amounts of electricity from his body and control it. Note that he controls only his own electricity. He wears at all times a complicated machine on his back that regulates his own production.

You might also see him wearing glasses and/or leather gloves. On his back lies a complicated machine(stabiliser) that runs perpetually and helps Electroshock control the amount of enrgy his body has. On its centrer it has a circle that emits a faint blue light. It is also a bit larger than his actual back and weighs 7kg.
own electricity production.

Lightning:
Electroshock can create lightning from his hand and shoot it. It can come in carious shapes and sizes while also he may change the voltage or the charge of it.

Augmentation:
Electroshock can augment his natural abilities by making himself faster, stronrger or having faster reflexes. This applies to other things such as eyesight and even brain function.

Magnetism:
Electroshock can change the electric charge around him and/or his body's. This, in result, can give him the ability to fly in a small height or across walls. He can also attract metalic objects in his vicinity but he doesn't control which one. Lastly he can block projectiles from hitting him at an area around him(depends on how much energy he puts into it).

Weapon:
Electroshock has small pieces made from a specific alloy that he can control from any distance. He usually stores them on his stabilizer or on his hands. He can put in certain orders to create all sorts of weapons or objects.

t until his early adolescence. His first time creating electricity was an emotional outburst and then quieted down again. He was sent to an asylum and then to a special institute because he leveled his house. In the institute, which was quite prestigious, he discovered many things about himself and his powers. The way he achieved that though is darker. In the institute there was legitimate work done. This was though merely a cover for some of the most gruesome and "progressive" experiments of its time. In the institute were many renowned scientists that in the night turned into monsters that conducted the most horrific experiments on their subjects. One of the subjects was Electroshock. One of the results of those experiments, was an almost total memore loss. The scientists realised that Electroshock couldn't keep up with them, or actualy the opposite. THey noticed that his electrical production was too much. They predicted his body would be destroyed by this in the near future. To prevent this they created a stabiliser for him that regulated his production. This was one of their biggest mistakes. Electroshock had been the subject of these experiments for 5 years and had grown used to his powers. When they introduced another set of tests, he swa his chance to escape. They tested his interaction with tiny metalic objects. The very first ones got destroyed or melted but eventually they brought him some very resilient ones that resisted him. He experimented with them for a while and when he got experienced enought with them he took his shot. He made a big escape and destroyed the whole building. The scientists didn;t give up at first, as they chased him. This proved extremely ineffective as however they sent didn't return. They eventually gave up. Thus Electroshock, with little to no memories, was free for the first time of his life. Free and alone.
l sense, B.A.E.R is extremely fluent in sign language and is very good at portraying his messages through body language. He does in fact have a speaker built into him, but all that it emits are videogame-esque beeps, boops, and what not.

His social personality is mostly akin to that of a mascot, with extremely extroverted tendencies and hyperactive, seemingly endless amounts of energy. Baer is extremely positive most of the time, but is also very keen when it comes to sensing the moment and situations. As you might understand, he can interpret many different emotions and situations, and exhibits empathy in manners like a normal man. It's uncanny, really, and many people wonder how a video game company could have made a robot so wondrous.

In combat, he's equally as hyperactive and energetic, hyped to keep the fight going and do his best regardless of the opponent he's facing. His computer-based thought process allows him to think like quite the tactician, and provides him with the capacity to respond very quickly to his enemy's movements.

However, he does know when to get serious. In sad situations or stressful environments, his personality well reflects the image shown on his screen. Facing off against a serial killer, for example, might fill Baer with a fire to exact justice on the fallen(exemplified by the fire on his "face screen") men and women- and his fighting/personality would reflect such a passion.

Baer's motivation is just that: motivation. He wants to get people hyped, he wants to keep the RHG alive and well, he wants to make his creators look good at all costs! He is a good bot first, a fighter second, and overall just here for to create an enjoyable experience for everyone. His only goal would be to climb the RHG ranks, but that's pretty much it.

Status: Target
Age: Unknown.
Height: 6 foot 3 inches. Approximately 190.5 Centimeters.

Alcatraz is fairly tall and well-built man of fairly young age who constantly wears a crimson-covered, porcelain mask with no eyes cut out for sight and no mouth visible. It's simply a plain, red mask that conceals his face. His exposed, tan skin and slicked black hair suggest hispanic descent. On his body, he wears a crude, plain red, and cotton undertop with elbow-length sleeves that has a spectacular collar full of matching maroon feathers. On his legs he wears a pitch black pair of comfortable sweatpants accompanied by red basketball shoes.

For a weapon, Red Crow carries a military hatchet spray-painted to match his outfit with black axe-head and crimson paracord wrap handle. It's strapped to his side via a simple utility belt.

Spoiler (Click to Show)
tail when it comes to his dress, Alcatraz seems very much focused on his image and how he's portrayed. When the media mistakenly dismissed him as a "superhero wannabe", he proceeded to slaughter a busy morning street full of men, women, and children alike. When they corrected themselves and spoke out against him, he proceeded to artistically and literally thank every local news station by painting his gratitude in the blood of innocents.

From what we know, he's an attention-hungry serial killer who's striving to make a name for himself with senseless killing sprees and brutal depictions of both horrific life and beautiful death. In fact, there are even a few people who have taken to interpreting the intricacies of his "body-sculptures" to better understand the champions' motivations.

Alcatraz is hardy and lacks empathy in many regards, able to kill without a second thought as though he were manufactured to do so. He has no limits, no restrictions, and no filter, willing to insult or attack just about anyone and anything. He knows himself to be virtually unkillable, and abuses this knowledge to the fullest by purposefully thrusting himself into reckless and dangerous situations- uncaring as to whether he emerges from them alive or not.

While crazy is not the best way to describe his attitude, he is very much for Darwinism. As far as he understands it, only the strongest has the right to survive, and he intends to take on the universe's most powerful to obtain that role. You could say he's kicking down the gates to the castle and slaughtering the entire king's court to take what he perceives to be his rightful place on the throne.

And you bet your ass the whole kingdom is going to know what's up.

So he's just an ordinary guy who knows how to make a good speech? Works with me. Where'd he learn to swordfight though, and why use a sword and not like a gun or something? And does he really need a trench coat? That's kinda conspicuous. Or is the only reason he wears a trench coat to conceal his otherwise unconcealable weapon? If that's the case, can somebody just get him a pistol?

He wears a trench coat just because it looks cool to him. He has a cane sword but I forgot to add a weapons section to the character. He also doesn't use a gun because he deems them to be uncool.... He is very focused on cool things.

I'll add all these explanations to my thing.

As you all have probably noticed, your posts have been added to the list. Right, so moving on, I guess I'll dump some of my own input here.

To answer Chrome: Nahldwiin was engineered by the RHG corporation not to be the ultimate weapon, but to be the ultimate setpiece. This is the reason they manufactured him to feel pain. The "skin" serves as a way to protect the delicate machinery inside when the metal plates leave small openings due to the way his body bends. It also serves as a second layer of defence if he's forced to eject some armour. How exactly they extracted a dragon's conscience from a fossil: If Skyrim is to be believed, a part of the dragon's soul never truly leaves this world. And concerning Iron Tiger: The nazar is pretty fucky yes. No, his blades do not heat because of the nazar.

brothers from ancient Greece.
Ktesiphon the Spear: the Oldest, Damoetas the Arrow: the middle child, Epaphroditus the Trident: the youngest.

Story: The brothers were originally born in Ancient Greece. They were all sold into slavery to be trained as gladiators by their parents. Later on the Ancient gods would take notice of their battle prowess and gift them with their weapons. It was later still when the current emperor would order them to fight one another. In that battle they agreed to kill each other with their own special weapons and all three of them died at the same times. They were buried under the arena in the same position in which they died. A couple thousand years later their tomb was discovered by an amateur archeologist. Upon entering their tomb a purple light filled the area and the warriors, now skeletons, started to move again. The archeologist ran away scarred as hades told gladiator that they were no longer the best of the best and that they had to start from the bottom and make their way to the top again. And with that he restored their equipment to its former glory and sent them out to fight once again.

Personality:
Ktesiphon usually only thinks of battle but when he is not he is a big push over and will usually be seen trying to play is cats.
Damoetas is the most level-headed of the three and also the most sociable. He will often go up to someone and try to alleviate their fears when not in combat but in combat he is constantly looking after his brothers, especially Ktesiphon.
Epaphroditus is a bit of a joker and likes to make his brothers laugh but is deadly serious in battle.
Appearance:
Ktesiphon is around 7 feet tall and usually wears his heavy armor and his helmet so that no one can see what he has become. But if he is eating something he will have a head of black shaggy hair and a black thick beard. He will also be wearing a pair of roman sandals. He has blue piercing eyes and weighs about 300 lbs. as a skeleton he will have blue flames instead of his eyes that will stair out of his bronze helmet.
Damoetas is around 5’ 3” and has short spikey auburn hair and is muscular and weighs 150 lbs. His shield has a picture of the hydra on it. He has hazel eyes but when in skeletal form he has yellow flames instead of eyes.
Epaphroditus is around 4’5” and is completely bald and weighs about 100lbs, 120 with his nets. His face is covered in scars that he received from training to be a gladiator. He has green eyes that shine like the sea and he green flame when he is in skeletal form. He is kind of muscular and wears a pair of black shorts that replaced his loincloth that he used to wear during his fights in the past.

Abilities:
They are skeletons and if an arm is cut off they can reattach it without any problems.
They are master close range fighters.
In sunlight they will look like they did when they were alive. In moon light they will have a ghostly outline of what they looked like
In any other light they will look like skeletons

Ktesiphon: Wields a spear blessed by Ares to be unbreakable and to automatically return to its owners hand if the owner wills it so. And when thrown as able to pierce through 3 inches of solid steel.
He also wears heavy bronze armor and a steel and leather pleated skirt that the Roman generals wore.
Has a Scutum, large rectangular shield, that is able to reflect bullets up to a caliber of .50 and can deflect all other weapons.
He is extremely strong being able to lift about 500 pounds without breaking a sweat.
Caries a gladius as a backup weapon.

Damoetas: When he was young went to go and train with the Spartans so he fights using their weapons.
Wields a bronze Spartan shield with sharp round edges that can be used as weapon as well.
Wields a short unbreakable gladius that has a bow sting across the hilt and can be pulled back to fire arrows made of fire. It was gifted to him by Apollo.
Can fire arrows at a rate of one a second and can reach a range of fifty yards.
Is fairly agile and wears light leather armor and a bronze Spartan helmet
Carries about three spears on his back that he can throw or fight with.

Epaphroditus: Wields a trident blessed by Poseidon that is both unbreakable and can shoot steams of water that can punch through solid concrete blocks.
Also wields twin bronze daggers.
His shoulders and arms are covered in bronze armor that reach down to his wrists and has a small box under each hand that can fire out nets. Each box holds about three nets.
Also has two weighted nets that hangs at his sides that he can throw at opponents or use to disarm them.
He is a tactical genius and is able to help his brothers win almost any fight.
Is very fast and agile, can run at about 15 mph for over three hours before getting tired.
Weaknesses:
They will die just like any other human despite being just skeletons.
Blunt weapons
Weak to fire. They will burn quiet easily.
Ranged fighters.

Ktesiphon: He is slow moving and his legs are unprotected. Also he is not very bright and relies heavily on his shield. If someone can disarm him he will be killed. Also he is a close range fighter.
Weak to electric based attacks.

Damoetas: wears only leather armor and this armor will not stop many weapons.
Anyone with a gun will be able to easily pierce his shield.
He is kind of arrogant.

Epaphroditus: he is very lightly armored with the only armor he has being on his arms and shoulders.
He relies heavily on his nets and trident. His daggers are only used as a last resort and he will only bring them out if he is disarmed.

5: lightning arms- arms become electrified and can shoot a continuous bolt of lightning

Over time he became an extremely good craps player and at age 28 he even started boasting that the devil could not beat him at the game. Upon hearing this the devil appeared before him and challenged him to a game. The stakes of the game were this, if the evil won then Gram would lose his soul. But if Gram won the devil would grant him one wish. Gram grinned and the game was on. In the end the devil lost and gram wished for the power over dice and to have three dice that would grant him unimaginable powers with each roll. And in order to get into a game with the devil Gram had to collect a minimum of ten souls. And these souls had to be won from people in fights for whenever Gram defeated a person he would get their soul. The person need not die for gram to get the soul. He just had to beat them in fair combat. That was over 200 years ago and so far Gram has lost about 4 games against the devil. Also since then he has become a really good poker player and has continued ownership of his family’s casino which is located in the heart of stick page city.

and thus in battle he may take risks that most other people wouldn’t so long as he knows that the outcome would be favorable to him. Also because he has been a gambler his whole life he is able to see when a situation is starting to turn sour and knows when defense or simply biding his time is the best option for him. Sometimes however he will show his hand two early and end up biting off more than he can chew. Also if he thinks that his opponent does not pose much of a threat to him he will start to toy with them. He will only take the souls of extremely evil people that he has beaten in battle.

Outside of battle however Gram is very pleasant and is quiet the ladies’ man. He is the type who will give money to the poor and rescue cat’s that are stuck in trees and has been an upstanding member of the local community for as long as anyone can remember. That is when is not at the poker or blackjack tables since he does not trust his luck at craps. After his deal with the devil he never again cheated at any game.

He also has a good sense of character
I was going to do an entire critique for your Soul Gambler character. But, I've noticed a theme between all of your recent characters and I think that it should be addressed in someway. There is one problem that I can see within every character:

They are too god damn complex.

All of these characters have a lot of information. If you give your characters all this stuff then it's going to be hard to keep track of everything for you, your opponent, and your readers. I'll use Soul Gambler as my prime example for this. He's a former heavy weight boxer but he also has magical die that orbit him and there are three different colors of dice that do different things and there are good combos and bad combos to things and the dice can attack things and holy shit what the fuck? There's, like, 3 characters in one here and that is not needed. You could have made a character that is based around the random aspect, which I honestly don't recommend, or you could possibly make a character centered around boxing. You don't have to keep adding abilities to make your character seem complex, y'know? Make them complex in their backstory and personality instead of throwing up abilities on a page and naming the mess.

If you want an example of people who create underpowered, yet really good, characters then look no further than Vern. His current RHG is a girl who controls fire. That's it. She's Annie from League. But the good part about the character is that the story of this character is complex. So, I suggest adding more to the story rather than adding more to the abilities.

ok i get it but i the whole idea of the gambler is just that he gambles with his abilities that the dice gave him. also took out the heavyweight boxer and the lifting thingy. so now he is really just a character based on the randomality. yes i did that and am proud. i love randomness and chaos. dont ask why i just do always have. so i took that love and personified it. as for future characters they will hopefully be a bit less complex. to be honest complexity is sort of my thing right now. and in a couple months who knows
