soccer has nothing to do with gaming.

i mean, they could make even a spherical console. but, they don't.

Guess your not seeing what his point is.

He's comparing footballs in the same way you're comparing controllers. The design was very good back then and even with the technology of now, we don't change it.

Zymn, every one of those arguments was, at the time I read them, the POOREST argument I had ever heard in my life.

First of all, technology IS getting smaller: it's just that we're making more advanced systems at the same general rate. As we are able to fit more transistors in a 1x1 centimeter square, we start using more transistors at the same time.

Next, developers didn't "loose creativity", they found the most comfortable way to place buttons on a controller, you asshat. Try playing a game on a system before the Nintendo Entertainment System found the magic placement for buttons, like the Colecovision.

That is fairly different from our current controllers, but it is horribly awkward to use.

Now, about your power plug stupidity: The consoles get more advanced, they require more power. If you don't want to deal with it, play a ****ing Gameboy.

Finally, about packages: They make them hard to get into as a theft deterrant. They have security strips inside the packaging so noone just walks out with the package, and they make them hard to get into so noone just rips the package open and sticks the card in their pocket.

I realize you were trying to be humourous, but you really failed quite a bit. I also realize you were talking about the things you disliked, but I felt that I should point out why they were stupid ****ing reasons to be bothered.
