There's more to a punch than just the hands. Stand up and make a punch. Make mental notes on which parts of your body had to move to make that punch. You'll notice that your feet, your torso, your head, and just about everything moves. Also, it's best to start at a fighting stance. Try to animate with that in your mind, that there is more to a punch than just the hands.

And in a broader sense, try to see yourself or someone else doing something you want to animate. If you can't personally do what you want to animate, like say you can't backflip but you want to animate a backflip, go to YouTube and watch someone else who can backflip. Seeing something actually happen will help, especially when you're just starting out and you still haven't mastered putting whatever your brain conjured into an animation.

The black's first stance is rather out of place. Try to make the transition from the walk to the run a little smoother. Like, add more frames/seconds or something to make him gradually go faster, instead of just going, "a walk's too tedious he should just run." The hits looked like they lacked force. Instead of adding a transition frame between the recoil and the actual hit, try to just take out the transition frame. Like, when he kicks the red guy to the roof, make the black guy reel his feet back, then instead of drawing another frame for the mid-kick, just make the next frame be the one where the leg already hit the red guy. The fastness of the attack gives a forceful effect.

There's also the way that black kicked red. Nobody kicks like that. Try to make an upwards kick and notice the stance you end up with. Try to make your kick look like that.

A walk cycle is a walk that goes on a loop. That's not really a loop. You make one by making a symbol, then animate it in one place, so that when you preview it, it seems like the stick is walking in place. I looked up for an example and found this. It's not really the best example, but it's something that can be called a walk cycle so yeah lol.

Walking is a very slow and smooth process. Thus, it needs to have more frames and needs to be more smooth. You're going to have to draw a lot of in-betweens (frames inserted in between two already drawn frames), but don't go too overboard or it'll look unnatural. I know I'm not really giving solid instructions, but they'll really only help if you've already practiced and practiced and practiced. Just keep at it.
