Im going to add a background, and sound effects and things like blood spatter at the very end. Right now I'm just looking for critique on the idea and the basic movement like the running.

The animation is great (in my opinion :) ) but i've got to say that when purple one (Nekomata) moves from the wall there appears a little black stick and that makes it look a bit bad =)

So I've decided that this animation I'm working on is going to be part of an 8 part series (will take foreevvvveeeerrrr to finish, But Ill get there eventually).
Its going to be about the ancient Bijuu war, and how it continues on today between the humans that have the Bijuu sealed inside of them.
(these are the actual Bijuu, not exactly the ones from naruto, i.e. Orochi is not a bull)

Again, effects, details, backgrounds, sounds, etc. will be added at the end. Right now I'm just working on the movement.
Also it may seem kinda slow and boring. Right now during the beggining of this animation alot of text is being thrownn back and forth to kinda introduce the story further. It'll soon pick up pace with more speed and longer combos.

What I've really been working on is Buttons.
I've been having a hell of a time figureing buttons out just because my flash drive kept messing it up......

I haven't linked it to the animation yet. I'll do that at the end. And there'll also be some more text giving a very brief background story on the Bijuu in between this Play scene and the Fight itself.
Of course, once it goes black (the text dissapears) it wont go back to the beggining, It'll move on to the following Text about the Bijuu that comes before the fight.

Its a basic breifing of the story. Its not finished yet. I noticed a lot of typos. Ill finish it and fix such typos tomorrow. The beggining is all set though. After this section it'll go to a little Shukaku vs. Nekomata screen that states their title (God of Wind and Sand, God of Death) and has a piscture of their released form. then it'll go to the animation.

Worked on animation a little bit.
The combo that's happening right now is going to be a rather long one. Like at least 20 seconds.
I play to have Shukaku(brown) teleport to right above where Nekomata (purple) is in the next frame (will have to go back a fram or two to lead into the teleport), and then give a beastly Kick straight down, while they're both moving towards the edge of the area. Then when purple hits the ground, he'll kinda bounce a little, still moving to the right, and Shukaku will kinda do a spin, grab Purples hands, and right when he gets out of the spin, he'll be landing with his feet on the ground right at the edge of the stage, and he'll "throw" purple right into the imaginary wall at the edge of the stage.
Then Purple will kinda bounce off the "wall" from the force of impact, and Shukaku will let in on a massive combo.

I'm thinking that for the spin that leads into the "wall throw", I'm gunna try to make it slow motion-ish. Im using 13 fps, since the objective of the project was originally to make a 1 minute animation, so now that its coming along nicely I wish I had done 20 or more fps so I could make smoother actions.

But yeah. Tell me what you think.

Added some mmore of the combo. Im up to 11.8 seconds :D (out of at least 1 minute).
The little black box around them at the very end indicates slooooooow motion. Ill probably add even more frames to make it seem slower at some point. And once I add a background ill add some kind of tint that will darken everything but that little error dsuring slow motion. Plus slow motion-esque sound will help a whole bunch.

Attatched the title. I have to fix the Story Part after the title because the library messed up the buttons. So I wont be adding that untill the end. But I've got the "Play" button working, so you can test it and such if you feel the need to.

Ok here you have a new animation I've just started and finished =) it's not the best but I think is better than the one before :Smile: .

Pretty good Joshua Ice-Knight. It needs a head first off, and the spin kick at the end needs a little work. It makes him look like a helicopter. Other than those things its really quite good.

Worked on it some more.
Shukaku's combo is going well.
Double throw, teleport, slam into the ground, slam into wall, tail jab, and its not done yet :D

Again, as I always say, Ill add sound, details to spikes, and a background, etc. after I finish animating the sticks themselves.

I made slight changes with the strikes. At the beggining you'll notice theres one frame where I blur it out quite a bit, namely on the throws. When the first two throw impacts I have one frame where I blur it to 5.
I tried though, on the following strikes in that combo (the slam into the ground, into the wall, and from the tail), an extra blur frame. So now I have a frame that blurs it 2 px, and then one that blurs it 5 px. This really amplifies the strength of the strikes, but I feel like it may make it look kinda glitchy almost? Tell me which you all think is better.

EDIT:
Added a very basic background. Ill make it fancier later. And I decided that alot of the pauses were probably to short to read the text that would be there, so I started adding the dialouge, and It looks pretty good to me. Tell me what you think. Oh and the black along the top and right edge are from a big black box I put around the edge, cuz When i englarge it in the swf on my cpu (ctr+enter) the edge like doesn't exist so at the beggining the purple guy is leaning against air, and in the combo the brown guy slams the purple guy into air. But the black box fixes it. But Ill make it fit better later. So yeah, tell meh what you think.

I'm surprised at how much I can get done while waiting on any commentary. Since the first post today, I've doubled it's length, and (hopefully) increased the quality of my work as I went. And yes, I know the start is a bit rough, I'm not sure how to touch it up.
