Yeah I might end up double framing most of it, call it a cop out but I love the way double framing looks anyway.
But I don't think easing is the term your looking for, I just need to add more frames in these movements in general, or have the effect last longer.

Move every joint every frame. And that may reduce stiffness a bit. The movements were unrealistic, and you need to add reactions in your animations. Also, the beam from the laber should come out of the handle, instead of just fading in :p
